at Lansing, MI April 15th Tea Party
When: April 15, 2009, 12 Noon to 1:00PM
Where: The State Capital Building
100 N. Capitol Ave, Lansing, MI
The organizers of the Lansing, MI Tax Day Tea party are proud to announce
that "Joe "the Plumber" Wurzelbacher will be speaking at our April 15, Tax
Day Tea Party.
"Joe the Plumber" is an ordinary man who was not afraid to publicly question
a national politician.
"I am so excited to be a co-speaker along with 'Joe the Plumber'. Joe showed
just how powerful one average citizen could be. All he did was ask a
question but that question rocked the 2008 election and showed us all that
We the People are still a force to be reckoned with in this country" says
Wendy Day, community activist.
Joan Fabiano, one of the event organizers goes on to say, "Joe, being from
the Midwest himself understands the dire economic conditions in Michigan."
The protest is one of over 300 hundred to be held at the same time in cities
and towns all across the United States. Tea parties will also be held in
Chicago, Washington, Atlanta, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Fort Worth, San Diego,
Portland, Ore., and at hundreds of other locations around the United States.
In addition to the local grassroots organizers, New Patriot Revolution, the
Michigan Tea Party is backed by Americans for Prosperity and bi-partisan
taxpayer groups from across the State. ]

Socialism works until the other guy runs out of money - Margarett Thatcher
"Socialism works until the other guy runs out of money." This is, I think, the best succinct aphorism I have seen on socialism. Margaret Thatcher probably picked it up elsewhere. I am glad that she passed it on and you passed it on again.
ReplyDeleteIn January of this year I read
A CONSERVATIVE HISTORY OF THE AMERICAN LEFT by Daniel J. Flynn, a book published in 2008. In early
19th century America the socialist groups were confined to small communes in out-of-the-way places.
Now these people are running our country! They had a high failure rate on the community level in the 19th century. But they don't quit pushing their agenda.
Have yet to find anywhere in history where socialism has worked. The Bible does not recognize it as a practice either. Hopefully, the American people will wake up from the disenfranchisement and see that we are at the point of which the reason they have been so discouraged is now center stage as to where our vote is being recognized as needed.
