HuckPac Statement Regarding Washington State Slayings-Suspect was a parole

Suspect was a parole:

Statement Regarding Washington State Slayings

The senseless and savage execution of police officers in Washington State has saddened the nation, and early reports indicate that a person of interest is a repeat offender who once lived in Arkansas and was wanted on outstanding warrants here and in Washington State. The murder of any individual is a profound tragedy, but the murder of a police officer is the worst of all murders in that it is an assault on every citizen and the laws we live within.

Should he be found to be responsible for this horrible tragedy, it will be the result of a series of failures in the criminal justice system in both Arkansas and Washington State. He was recommended for and received a commutation of his original sentence from 1990, making him parole eligible and was paroled by the parole board once they determined he met the conditions at that time. He was arrested later for parole violation and taken back to prison to serve his full term, but prosecutors dropped the charges that would have held him. It appears that he has continued to have a string of criminal and psychotic behavior but was not kept incarcerated by either state. This is a horrible and tragic event and if found and convicted the offender should be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law. Our thoughts and prayers are and should be with the families of those honorable, brave, and heroic police officers.

Potential Trouble for Huckabee?

This will cause more concerns over Governor Huckabee's judgment and his unwillingness to listen to the people he hired to protect innocent lives.

"Maurice Clemmons, the 37-year-old Tacoma man being sought for questioning in the killing of four Lakewood police officers this morning, has a long criminal record punctuated by violence, erratic behavior and concerns about his mental health.

Nine years ago, then-Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee granted clemency to Clemmons, commuting his lengthy prison sentence over the protestations of prosecutors."...

my comment:

This alleged person of interest is walking the streets due to the character of America's Law of Grace and mercy.  Better to have a Man of conviction who is a cautious leader then one who throws away the key.

We live in a judicial system that is ran by politically correct feelings, that the line between circumstantial facts and direct evidence is so blurred, the Judge reads the Law to the Jurists and it seems to be like glass as the words fall to the floor, much like the truth of Jury Nullification.  Did you know that a jury is over the Judge and that if they can ignore evidence and declare the defendant innocent due to overriding circumstance. No appeal can be afforded to found innocent.

The number of Souls who repented and have gone on to be respectable citizens from Governor Huckabee's pardon does not justify the loss of life from one who disrespects their Mercy.  But to not have pardons for your sins, leaves your liberty in a very difficult position.  The Old Testament with it's eye for an eye had a system of redemption.  Not so sure about the Islam's Shariah Law for it to is an eye for an eye.

Don't opportunity do this often but this circumstance demands this:

And, behold a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life? He said unto him, what is written in the law? how readest thou? And he, answering, said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself. And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right; this do, and thou shalt live.--Luke x. 25-28.

Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying, Master, which is the great commandment in the law? Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul. and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. --Matt. xxii 35-40. http://www.qhpress.org/quakerpages/qhoa/wilton.htm

The FairTax pre-bate is not socialism, it is your money

The FairTax pre-bate is not socialism
 It is your money
Article by Frankie Ray

Who understands that the Constitution does not authorized congress to set up a social security system?  This is "Socialism".

Where did this comment come from, and how would it relate to the debate about the Fair Tax? No one here at I-caucus advocates in favor of Social Security and I think I speak for virtually everyone here that we clearly know that social security is unconstitutional.

Several months ago, on this very forum, Independent Caucus, we answered questions or to statements about the pre-bate and about tax rates:

#1) At I-caucus we do not advocate "revenue neutral" as part of our stand on the National Sales Tax(NST) as a tax solution. The reason we do not advocate "revenue neutral" is because to do so would legitimize the current level of taxation in this country as acceptable or as the correct level of taxation; and we do not accept the current level of taxation as correct, acceptable, or legitimate.

Accordingly, there is a mechanism built into the Fixed Pie Budget that automatically adjusts the NST tax rate over time, no matter what rate the NST is established at when adopted.

Accordingly, there are no valid arguments against our position in favor of the NST which are based on a specified tax rate of any number, and any links you are leaving that argue against an NST based on a specific tax rate are, at best, irrelevant.

#2) Arguing that a "prebate" is socialism is, at best, incorrect. Here again is why calling it socialism is incorrect:

a) Under today's tax laws, if I have $1,000 per month withheld out of my paycheck, at the end of the year the government would have taken $12,000 of MY money. Correct?

b) If I then prepare my 1040 tax form, and it is decided that my tax debt for the year was only $10,400….the government would send me a refund check of $1,600. Correct?

c) Is that $1,600 refund check that the government sent me welfare? Is it socialism? No, it is not welfare and it is not socialism because the government is merely giving me back MY money. Correct?

d) If the government could decide at the beginning of any given year, that it KNEW it would be withholding $1,600 more of my money than it required of me, and sent me a check for $1,600 of my money in ADVANCE instead of at the end of the year...would that be welfare of socialism? No, it would not, because whether or not the government gives me back MY money in advance or after the fact, it is still MY money either way. Correct?

e) OK, so under the proposed NST with a pre-bate feature, when the government sends a pre-bate check it is merely refunding to me MY money in advance, before I spend MY money paying my consumption taxes during that month.

f) The government giving me back MY money is never socialism or welfare.

g) Therefore, anyone who argues that the Pre-bate built into the NST is socialism or welfare either is uneducated or deliberately misleading.

"To Form A More Perfect Union" Narrative by Chief Justice John G. Roberts

"To Form A More Perfect Union" Narrative by John G. Roberts

On December 3, 2009, the United States Mint will release the 2009 Proof American Platinum Eagle. The reverse design of the one ounce .9995 platinum coin will feature the first of six different designs to commemorate the core concepts of American Democracy.

2009 Proof Platinum EagleThe collectible version of the Platinum Eagle has carried a different reverse design for each year of issue. This has included two previous multi-year design programs. The "Vistas of Liberty" program, which ran from 1998 to 2002, featured depictions of the Bald Eagle in different regions of the United States. The "Foundations of Democracy" program, which ran from 2006 to 2008, featured designs representing the three branches of government.

The current program will run from 2009 to 2014 and represent the core concepts of American democracy through representations of the six principles of the Preamble of the United States Constitution. This will include:  To Form a More Perfect Union (2009), To Establish Justice (2010), To Insure Domestic Tranquility (2011), To Provide for the Common Defense (2012), To Promote General Welfare (2013), and To Secure the Blessings of Liberty to Ourselves and our Posterity (2014). Themes for each of the reverse designs are inspired by narratives prepared by Chief Justice of the United States, John G. Roberts, Jr., at the request of the US Mint.

The Chief Justice's first narrative is presented below. This narrative inspired the reverse design of the 2009 Proof Platinum Eagle, which features four faces representing the diversity of the Nation, with hair and clothing intertwined to symbolize the principle "To Form a More Perfect Union."

"To Form A More Perfect Union" by John G. Roberts, Jr.

When the thirteen American colonies issued their Declaration of Independence from Great Britain in 1776, they recognized that the success of the American Revolution depended on unity in opposition to British rule. As the Revolutionary War progressed, those thirteen fledgling entities agreed, through "Articles of Confederation and Perpetual Union," to establish the United States of America. The Articles of Confederation proved inadequate, however, in creating an effective national government. After the Revolutionary War, the states convened a constitutional convention in Philadelphia to reconsider the terms of their confederation. During that fateful summer of 1787, America's leading statesmen drafted the Constitution of the United States of America with the avowed objective "to form a more perfect Union."

John Jay, who would later become the first Chief Justice of the United States, joined James Madison and Alexander Hamilton in authoring a series of essays, now known as The Federalist Papers, to urge the citizens to support ratification of the Constitution. In The Federalist No.2, Jay explained that the Constitution's promise of "a more perfect Union" rested upon a unity of distinctly American ideals, interests, and experiences that joined the people of the United States together as one nation.

Jay noted that "independent America was not composed of detached and distant territories," but rather was "one connected, fertile, widespreading country" with "a variety of soils," "innumerable streams," and a "succession of navigable waters" that "forms a kind of chain round its borders as if to bind it together." Jay also recognized that "Providence has been pleased to give this one connected country to one united people" who, "by their joint counsels, arms, and efforts, fighting side by side throughout a long and bloody war, have nobly established their general liberty and independence." He discerned a connection between the land and the people:

This country and this people seem to have been made for each other, and it appears as if it was the design of Providence that an inheritance so proper and convenient for a band of brethren, united to each other by the strongest ties, should never be split into a number of unsocial, jealous, and alien sovereignties.

John Jay believed that this "band of brethren" found unity in the English ancestry, heritage, and customs that many of the citizens of his era shared. But history has shown that the Constitution's aspiration of "a more perfect Union" rests more fundamentally on a unity of common beliefs that Americans of all backgrounds throughout history have embraced. As the United States has expanded across the continent, overcome internal conflict, and welcomed new states, the nation has found enduring strength in its people's diverse origins and perspectives. The United States remains perpetually united by a shared dedication to the ideals of liberty, justice, and equality. Through those shared ideals, each new generation has sustained the Constitution's promise of "a more perfect Union."

My Comment:

Chief Justice Roberts has said it well.  Let us not become alien Sovereignties.
  • Let us become united Sovereignties, standing in unison within the Constitution of the USA.
  • Let us remind the Federal Government their roll and to stop unconstitutional conduct.
  • Let us repeal the Amendment 17 - Senators Elected by Popular Vote and return the Senate to being appointed by State Assemblies, thereby ending the unconstitutional reign of the Shadow in Washington DC by Old Media Bias.
  • Let us repeal the sixteenth Amendment and return sanity to our Tax Structure Federally via the FairTax.org
  • Let us suggest each State enact their own Health Care solution by mandating the HSA/IRA plan through private insurance.
Thank you Chief Justice Roberts for this Oration.

Bucking GOP hierarchy, Senator DeMint supports..| Federalist conservatives

Bucking GOP hierarchy, DeMint supports conservative underdogs

S.C. senator's willingness to defy the party establishment rare for freshman lawmaker.

By James Rosen
McClatchy Newspapers
AJTU0CR
Sen. Jim DeMint: "We've got a chance in this next election to prove a lot of establishment Republicans wrong and show that anywhere in the country principled conservatives can win."
WASHINGTON South Carolina's Sen. Jim DeMint is using his rising national profile among conservative activists to support and bankroll Republican Senate candidates around the country, some of them underdogs challenging GOP establishment favorites.
DeMint's endorsements of former Florida House Speaker Marco Rubio over Gov. Charlie Crist and California state Rep. Chuck DeVore over former Hewlett-Packard chief executive Carly Fiorina put him at odds with other prominent Republicans, including Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky, Sen. John McCain of Arizona and fellow South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham.
In Pennsylvania, DeMint's endorsement of former Rep. Pat Toomey helped prompt incumbent Sen. Arlen Specter to bolt the Republican Party and run for re-election as a Democrat.
DeMint, who has met with or plans to interview 20 GOP candidates in eight states, has started doling out money from his Senate Conservatives Fund, a political action committee that's raised $1.45 million - most of it from supporters in other states.
"We've got a chance in this next election to prove a lot of establishment Republicans wrong and show that anywhere in the country principled conservatives can win," DeMint told thousands of activists in a Nov. 3 conference call.
DeMint, a first-term senator seeking re-election next year, has attracted conservative followers nationwide for blocking appropriations earmarks, helping to defeat immigration reforms and leading GOP opposition to expanded federal medical benefits.
DeMint's willingness to go outside his party's official endorsement structure - led by Sen. John Cornyn of Texas, head of the National Republican Senatorial Committee - is rare for a sitting senator, and virtually unheard of for a freshman.
Katon Dawson, a former S.C. Republican chairman who narrowly lost to Michael Steele in January to head the national party, said DeMint's name increasingly resonates in other states.
"He now is in a prominent leadership role in the Republican Party to where his endorsement matters and means something," Dawson said.
Among 413 donors who've contributed at least $200 to DeMint's Senate Conservatives Fund political action committee, only eight are from South Carolina.
DeMint, 58, makes no bones that he's more focused on advancing conservative goals nationwide than on pursuing the parochial interests of his state.
"All of you all over the country - please remember that Senate seats are not about a particular state," DeMint told more than 4,000 listeners on the recent conference call.
"They're about our country," DeMint said. "Every vote I take is not about South Carolina. It's about the United States of America."
DeMint, a resident of heavily Republican Upstate South Carolina, hosted a conference call with Eric Erickson, a founder of the popular conservative blog redstate.com.
After the NRSC endorsed Crist in his run for Congress, Erickson called for his readers not to make any contributions to candidates backed by the official Republican campaign committee.
DeMint was the only senator who addressed tens of thousands of Tea Party protesters Sept. 12 at an anti-Obama rally outside the U.S. Capitol. Some carried signs comparing Obama to Nazi founder Adolf Hitler and al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden.
Susan McManus, a political science professor at the University of South Florida, said Democrats are trying to link DeMint with Erickson in a bid similar to Republicans' efforts last year to tie Obama to the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, the president's former minister in Chicago who had bitterly criticized the United States in sermons.
Obama, though, distanced himself from Wright, while DeMint continues to use Erickson's army of followers to reach conservative activists....full article

All the names mentioned in this article, McConnell, Graham, McCain, Cornyn, all have one thing in common, they are for conservative Nationalism and probably not a clue what it means to be a Federalist Conservative.  RINOs are on the hit list and it may be these guys if they don't repent and read the Constitution. Why FairTax will save Michigan Fiscally~Editorial to LSJ

Under the National FairTax plan, a product now costing $1.00 today will, under National FairTax, cost $.96 if manufactured in the USA and will cost $1.23 if imported.

A domestic product of $1.00 cost before FairTax will cost  $.78 under FairTax.  FairTax calls for a 23% tax to replace the unconstitutional spending at the Federal level.  Thus, $.78 *$.23=$.18 will be the federal sales tax.  Therefore, a $1.00 item before FairTax will be $.96 under Fairtax with tax included, a four percent reduction in product and tax total.

The foreign imports now under our current tax at a $1.00 cost, will cost $1.23 under fairtax. This is not a form of excise on foreign  gods, but is making Free Trade, Fair Trade.

In just computing the FairTax implemented at the Federal level, that is a 27% decrease in USA manufacturing cost in comparison to foreign import costs.  How many manufacturing jobs will that bring back to USA?  How many jobs will Michigan and other States be able to gain, if they too implement the Michigan FairTax Plan?

If Michigan adopts MIFairTax, the cost of Michigan products will be reduced more by elimination of the 22% MBT, personal property tax and income tax. How much of an advantage would this give Michigan in job creation, if Michigan will but adopt the MIFairTAx.org plan which Former State Representative Fulton Sheen sponsored?  Call on conservative Democrats and Republicans, "put Michigan first, not your Party and it's bosses, Lobbyists."

Speaking of Lobbyists, how many Lobbyists will lose their job by not having to bribe Congressman for loopholes to protect their rich clients?

Incidently, all congressman, Federal and State, would change their allegance if we would change campaign finance law to wit:  'Only registered voters can contribute to any candidate's campaign.'

Is Proposal A on the Ropes?

WayneCountyTaxpayers Inc: I Must Be Precient

When the effort for passing Proposal A was in full force in 1993,I worked my heart out trying to defeat it. Some people thought I was crazy. There was no question that assessments were out of control as well as the property taxes they generated. My argument then is the same as it is now. It was the method they chose that I was opposed to. A tax reduction could have been achieved by something as simple as reducing taxes from 50% of true cash value to say 40% of the true cash value of the property.

They on the other hand had to make it complicated and bate one segment of the population against the other. While Proposal A did slow the taxation rate by reducing mileage rates and slowing taxable values for some, other were picking up the burden as property changed hands through sales or inheritance. Right now, two families living in identical houses in the same subdivision may be paying drastically different amounts of taxes for the same services because one person has lived in their house longer. The crash in our property values has helped to alleviate that problem for some but it has not eliminated it. When we go to sell our homes there are fewer buyers because the tax will then be applied to the State Equalized Value of our property making the payments to expensive.

Proposal A had all kinds of enabling legislation that went into effect. We got an increase in the sales tax and gas tax. Inflation helps to increase those taxes. Given the way the federal government is spending money, we will soon see a huge increase in inflation and taxes. We got a different rate of tax on our non homestead property. Another thing that came to fruition was an increase in requests for bonds and sinking funds for schools, which are still allowed.

Due to the decline in property values, you will now begin to see more Truth in Taxation Hearings. Local governing bodies can increase mileage rates up to the maximum allowable truth in assessment / equalization mileage by simple ordinance or resolution instead of a vote of the people. This can be done because the revenue generated under Proposal A will not equal last years revenue plus inflation without increasing the mileage. This is also true of all the other government mileages in Michigan.

Another interesting restriction that was created under Proposal A was a requirement that no increase over the then authorized operating mileage could be passed unless it was done on an intermediate school district level. Each County wide region is allowed a 3 mil enhancement if approved by the voters.
Multi-district tax a tough sell, but that could change

With state aid in peril and federal stimulus funding that came to the rescue this year set to expire, is it time for Michigan's local school districts to turn again to local taxpayers?

Some have exercised a rarely used option under 1994's Proposal A to seek multi-district mileage hikes.

Very few have succeeded....(cont here)

my comment:

This puts the finger right on the hemorrhage that is about to come in Michigan.  Michiganders, even those with jobs, are having a hard time with their cashflows and the last thing they worry about is the property tax payments down the road.  What is coming is possibly worse then the 1930's when the State had to waive all those who were behind in property taxes, just to keep everyone in their homes.

When Former Governor John Engler came by selling the Proposal A plan, he was asked' "how will taking control of a local matter at the State level help?  He had no answer?

We need to put the Proposal A back on the ballot for Repeal or shift the homestead School property tax over to the Sales tax.  Imagine what the budget item for Homestead refunds will be this year?

How many of these Communist Goals of 1963 are achieved & in which Party?

Communist Goals (1963)
Documention below

Congressional Record--Appendix, pp. A34-A35

January 10, 1963

Current Communist Goals

EXTENSION OF REMARKS OF HON. A. S. HERLONG, JR. OF FLORIDA

IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES

Thursday, January 10, 1963

Mr. HERLONG. Mr. Speaker, Mrs. Patricia Nordman of De Land, Fla., is an ardent and articulate opponent of communism, and until recently published the De Land Courier, which she dedicated to the purpose of alerting the public to the dangers of communism in America.

At Mrs. Nordman's request, I include in the RECORD, under unanimous consent, the following "Current Communist Goals," which she identifies as an excerpt from "The Naked Communist," by Cleon Skousen:

[From "The Naked Communist," by Cleon Skousen]

CURRENT COMMUNIST GOALS

1. U.S. acceptance of coexistence as the only alternative to atomic war.

2. U.S. willingness to capitulate in preference to engaging in atomic war.

3. Develop the illusion that total disarmament [by] the United States would be a demonstration of moral strength.

4. Permit free trade between all nations regardless of Communist affiliation and regardless of whether or not items could be used for war.

5. Extension of long-term loans to Russia and Soviet satellites.

6. Provide American aid to all nations regardless of Communist domination.

7. Grant recognition of Red China. Admission of Red China to the U.N.

8. Set up East and West Germany as separate states in spite of Khrushchev's promise in 1955 to settle the German question by free elections under supervision of the U.N.

9. Prolong the conferences to ban atomic tests because the United States has agreed to suspend tests as long as negotiations are in progress.

10. Allow all Soviet satellites individual representation in the U.N.

11. Promote the U.N. as the only hope for mankind. If its charter is rewritten, demand that it be set up as a one-world government with its own independent armed forces. (Some Communist leaders believe the world can be taken over as easily by the U.N. as by Moscow. Sometimes these two centers compete with each other as they are now doing in the Congo.)

12. Resist any attempt to outlaw the Communist Party.

13. Do away with all loyalty oaths.

14. Continue giving Russia access to the U.S. Patent Office.

15. Capture one or both of the political parties in the United States.

16. Use technical decisions of the courts to weaken basic American institutions by claiming their activities violate civil rights.

17. Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for socialism and current Communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of teachers' associations. Put the party line in textbooks.

18. Gain control of all student newspapers.

19. Use student riots to foment public protests against programs or organizations which are under Communist attack.

20. Infiltrate the press. Get control of book-review assignments, editorial writing, policymaking positions.

21. Gain control of key positions in radio, TV, and motion pictures.

22. Continue discrediting American culture by degrading all forms of artistic expression. An American Communist cell was told to "eliminate all good sculpture from parks and buildings, substitute shapeless, awkward and meaningless forms."

23. Control art critics and directors of art museums. "Our plan is to promote ugliness, repulsive, meaningless art."

24. Eliminate all laws governing obscenity by calling them "censorship" and a violation of free speech and free press.

25. Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio, and TV.

26. Present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as "normal, natural, healthy."

27. Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with "social" religion. Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity which does not need a "religious crutch."

28. Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in the schools on the ground that it violates the principle of "separation of church and state."

29. Discredit the American Constitution by calling it inadequate, old-fashioned, out of step with modern needs, a hindrance to cooperation between nations on a worldwide basis.

30. Discredit the American Founding Fathers. Present them as selfish aristocrats who had no concern for the "common man."

31. Belittle all forms of American culture and discourage the teaching of American history on the ground that it was only a minor part of the "big picture." Give more emphasis to Russian history since the Communists took over.

32. Support any socialist movement to give centralized control over any part of the culture--education, social agencies, welfare programs, mental health clinics, etc.

33. Eliminate all laws or procedures which interfere with the operation of the Communist apparatus.

34. Eliminate the House Committee on Un-American Activities.

35. Discredit and eventually dismantle the FBI.

36. Infiltrate and gain control of more unions.

37. Infiltrate and gain control of big business.

38. Transfer some of the powers of arrest from the police to social agencies. Treat all behavioral problems as psychiatric disorders which no one but psychiatrists can understand [or treat].

39. Dominate the psychiatric profession and use mental health laws as a means of gaining coercive control over those who oppose Communist goals.

40. Discredit the family as an institution. Encourage promiscuity and easy divorce.

41. Emphasize the need to raise children away from the negative influence of parents. Attribute prejudices, mental blocks and retarding of children to suppressive influence of parents.

42. Create the impression that violence and insurrection are legitimate aspects of the American tradition; that students and special-interest groups should rise up and use ["]united force["] to solve economic, political or social problems.

43. Overthrow all colonial governments before native populations are ready for self-government.

44. Internationalize the Panama Canal.

45. Repeal the Connally reservation so the United States cannot prevent the World Court from seizing jurisdiction [over domestic problems. Give the World Court jurisdiction] over nations and individuals alike.

The regressive progressive income tax in MI will be degressive to jobs- Editorial to Detroit FreePress

The very definition of a regressive tax is the graduated income tax.  "A heavy or progressive or graduated income tax is necessary for the proper development of Communism." - Karl Marx
The way to end the return of employment is to foolishly go down this road.  As to our current tax structure not being regressive, how would you like to pay a MBT on your gross earnings?

Our State is one of the most socialist States in the Union.  Is that bad?  Well at the State level, not as much as for the Federal Government.  But the same rule applies to employment attraction.  If you make the environment for business more difficult tax wise in Michigan, business will leave or never show up.  That is our problem here in the USA, especially Michigan with nearly the highest regressive tax system in the nation and near the bottom with employment and one of the fastest shrinking State in the Nation , population wise.  How much longer shall we run down this socialist road to destruction, to which history will provide all the proof you need, that socialism fails every time.

There is a tax system plan ready to go, that will provide the greatest incentive for Michigan to grow back jobs which will prosper Michigan and the needed tax revenue by bringing back jobs, which will increase spending which will increase jobs, which will increase spending which will increase jobs, all the while increasing tax revenue and lowing the % of tax needed to operate our State.  Also by choosing the tax system that is job oriented will empty our welfare rolls for the need will diminish greatly.

The way to end the return of employment is to foolishly go down this road.  As to our current tax structure not being regressive, how would you like to pay a 22% MBT on your gross earnings?  Michigan is not losing jobs faster then the rest of the Nation for no reason.  It is our taxing which raises the cost of product making Michigan the worst State in the USA for business to succeed.

Our State is one of the most socialist States in the Union.  Is that bad?  Well at the State level, not as much as for the Federal Government.  But the same rule applies to employment attraction.  If you make the environment for business more difficult tax wise in Michigan, business will continue to leave or never show up.  That is our problem here in the USA with our product tax structure, especially Michigan with nearly the highest regressive tax system in the nation and near the bottom in employment and one of the fastest shrinking State in the Nation, population wise.  How much longer shall we run down this socialist road to destruction, to which history will provide all the proof you need, that socialism fails every time.

Here is a suggestion on what Michigan should do:  Replace Income and Business tax with FairTax- A sales Tax  http://www.mlive.com/opinion/bay-city/index.ssf/2009/11/replace_income_and_business_ta.html
The MIFairTax.org plan will not tax the basic needs of everyone, rich and poor alike, by providing a tax credit or a check in the mail to pay for all spending at the ceiling of poverty wage, whether you work or not.  By doing this, the MI FairTax will end the need for a socialist path and will provide for a safety net to all without prejudice nor the need to bow down to a case worker.

To further enhance Michigan employment, support the National proposal to flood this Nation with jobs.  Go to http://fairtax.org/ and learn how and why adding to the cost of production is what has harmed America and Michigan so severely and that by putting tax on consumption will lower our manufacturing cost in product dramatically, especially in Michigan, resulting in manufacturing jobs flooding back to Michigan, the great talent pool of workers in the World.
