I believe pulling the rug out will be very good as it will indicate that we really mean business and that we are not going to accept harmful compromises to the Nation and to the Party.

Steels term is up in January 2011.  Would pulling the rug out be beneficial or would he be a slight draw.  I distain his liberalism and have called for him to be fired twice.  He is pro abortion.

Subject: [mikehuckabee-190] Michael Steele Must Go - An Open Call For His Immediate Resignation

Over the past few years, I've become increasingly upset at the way our elected officials, and even our candidates, have portrayed themselves on Sunday shows and in other media appearances.  Their responses to real issues were without passion and their statements continuously rang hollow.  The GOP has always been right on the issues.  We cut taxes on all income levels, have saved millions of jobs, sounded the alarm on the Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac mortgage crisis that Democrats chose to ignore and, most of all, offered solutions on issues of national security as Democrats sat and twiddled their thumbs.

The problem was that none of this was being shown on TV.  Media bias was largely to blame, but in equal proportion, so were the lackadaisical responses coming from our side.  With that in mind, I had high hopes for Chairman Michael Steele when he was first elected.  Watching the debate between the candidates for party chairman, Steele seemed alive, energetic and vivacious.

In the proceeding months, it was clear that we had a problem on our hands.  The Chairman of our party should not be someone who agrees with the radical leftist agenda of Barack Obama almost one third of the time.  The public face of our party should not be someone who lacks the wherewithal to identify, and then to staunchly denounce, the policies and agenda items that have increasingly become the hallmark of the radical left.

As time went on, Michael Steele increasing showed himself to be clueless on policy, devoid of ideas and bereft of a competitive political philosophy - this at a time when Americans are clamoring for one.  Most of all, his organizational skills, of primary importance to the position which the party chairman is elected to fill, were shown to be all but nonexistent.  As I watched on with dismay, I hoped against hope that Steele would grow into the job.  Regrettably, this was not to be the case.

None of the above listed faults can come close to his latest misstep, that of downplaying our party's standing and of deflating our morale with his outrageous prognostications on the 2010 race.  That his comments were made in the very same week that the distressingly liberal Los Angeles Times admitted that the GOP is poised to regain control of the US House, and possibly the Senate, is troubling beyond words.

In the same interview, Chairman Steele also went to great lengths to attack every Republican within a 500 mile radius of Washington, DC.  These amateurish tactics would be sad and counterproductive if they were the statements of a 20 year old political activist.  When the chairman of a party makes them, they're shameful beyond words.  Chairman Steele, we have Democrats who are perfectly capable of attacking every single Republican while giving all but a free pass to Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi.  They don't need your help.

We are the Party of Everyday Americans, not of sophomoric political hacks.  If Michael Steele is auditioning for a column of his own at the New York Times or for a position on some obscenely comical think tank, then he should not be using party resources or a position within our party to achieve those ignoble goals.  Chairman Steele's attack on our party's morale is an affront to the American people - those who seek a clear and viable alternative to the insanity that is the hallmark of this administration, an administration that Steele has coddled when his job was to oppose it.

For this reason above all else, I call upon Chairman Steele to end his hapless and lackluster reign at the helm of the Republican Party.  I also call upon all Republican candidates to demand his resignation with equal resolve and certitude.

I don't make this call lightly.  Upon Michael Steele's election as party chairman, I wrote a column praising his leadership style.  As a columnist, I owe it to readers to clear that up.  As a candidate, I stand to be affected by what passes for leadership under this chairman.  Most importantly, as an American, I cannot stomach the ineptitude of a chairman whose words can aversely affect the fundraising efforts of the only party that stands in the way of radical socialism.

The Republican Party is the party of Ronald Reagan and of so many others who seek to preserve the American Way and the moral values upon which our great nation was founded and upon which its future success relies.  The farce that has passed for leadership under this chairman must come to an end for our party to regain its standing as the true and rightful voice of the American people.

TeaParty Express coming to MI-04/09/2010~Northern Michigan Liberty Alliance

A Grassroots Tea Party Movement based in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
Ben Duff
Ben Duff has invited you to the event 'Tea Party Express' on The Northern Michigan Liberty Alliance!
This is going to be big!

Tea Party Express Time: April 9, 2010 from 6pm to 7pm
Location: TBA
Organized By: Tea Party Express

Event Description:
The Tea Party Express national bus tour will host a series of tea party rallies all across the nation from coast-to-coast and border-to-border. The effort will begin in San Diego, California on October 25th and travel eastward, building momentum as the tour reaches its final destination: a giant rally in Orlando, Florida on November 12th.

The tour comes exactly one-year before the November 2010 elections – and this will serve as a "Countdown to Judgment Day" for our elected officials. Those who are not serving in the nation's best interest will be put on notice: we're going to hand you a pink slip!

At each stop the tour will highlight some of the worst offenders in Congress who have voted for higher spending, higher taxes, and government intervention in the lives of American families and businesses. These Members of Congress have infringed upon the freedom of the individual in this great nation, and its time for us to say: "Enough is Enough!"

The "Tea Party Express" tour will feature leaders in the anti-tax, conservative, tea party movement along with musical performances of "American Tea Party Anthem" and "A Bailout Song" at each tea party event.

Detroit is in Depression NOW 21% unemployment!: Why the MI FairTax Message is "Of the essence"
Might I add the National Fair Tax plan also is needed yesterday.

Subject: Why the MI FairTax Message is "Of the essence" | Fw: Jim Neubacher left a comment in Michigan for America on America c2c- Coast 2 Coast

Comment by Jim Neubacher

The Great Depression has reached Detroit. The average price of a home is now $18,513 and unemployment has reached 21%. Home values have plummeted to levels not seen in 1/2 a century… and the 21% unemployment has in some cases been projected to double within 12 months if the auto industry totally collapses... reported by Tribble Ad Agency. Bloomberg 3/9/09 reports commercial payments 60 days late or more rose 3.75% in the Detroit area ( the national average is 1.1%). The vacancy rate is forecast to rise to 29.2% , up from 22% in 2008. And let us not forget Flint, Lansing, Saginaw are in similar straits. The state unemployment rate is listed at 11.6% in Jan and climbing and not including business owners and sales personnel that do not qualify for these benefits. Let us not discount the (12%) 1 in 8 persons in the state is receiving food stamps 33% are regularly visiting food pantries. a cap and trade tax that will increase utility costs at least 20% , and a near bankrupt state government that is turning over every stone to pilfer more tax payer money ... such as Introduced by Rep. Mark Meadows (D) on February 17, 2009, to allow school districts to use "sinking fund" taxes for a wider variety of purposes, see HB 4313, which will cost property owners $3.6 to $7.2 billion according to Michigan Votes. The population in Michigan is down to almost 2000 levels losing another 0.5% last year and if the trend continues MI loses two seats in the house. I calculate the debt for every man, woman, child to be $47,000 so far and climbing (not including interest). But it won't matter much if the Bond Bubble collapses.

And should I go on House Resolution 875, or the Food Safety Modernization Act of 2009, was introduced by Rosa DeLauro, D-Conn., in February. DeLauro's husband, Stanley Greenburg, works for Monsanto – the world's leading producer of herbicides and genetically engineered seed. hmmm... This legislation promising to protect my food supply and essentially burdens the small farmer with more costly regulations and paperwork. It essentially makes you a criminal if you sell or buy organic food... and more ... with requirements for RFID chips for farm animals... voluntary for families and small farms.. yea right ... just like the seat belt law.
On July 31, 2008, Congress passed Chairman Waxman's Lead Free Toys Act (H.R. 3473) as part of H.R. 4040, a bill to reform the Consumer Product Safety Commission. This law will require immediate reductions in the amount of lead in children's products and contains the world's strongest restrictions on lead in children's products. Now I can not even have a garage sale or make darn near anything and sell it without having to spend money to have it tested and certified safe.

They just never stop and are coming at us and are preventing good honest people from making a living. From every angle and every law we are being regulated by a communitarian administrative government.

I would suggest we cannot afford any legislation that puts more burden on my children and grandchildren ...

Over 200 years ago, the father of our Constitution, James Madison wrote: "To preserve the Republic, it is in the hands of the people. We have staked the whole future of American civilization not upon the power of government, far from it. We have staked the future of all of our political institutions upon the capacity of mankind for self-government; upon the capacity of each and all of us to govern ourselves, to control ourselves, to sustain ourselves according to the Ten Commandments"

Government is the problem and I am tired of being regulated... what happened to individual responsibility? I am not afraid to be Free are You?

Liberty's Ring is not the sound of a Bell! It's the selfless act of a Patriot~James A. Hodges

In 1774, the George Washington, acting as a county official, did his duty owed to God rather than men, and helped pass a resolution putting the King and parliament on notice that the lesser government of Fairfax, Virginia was more than willing to defend the Christian Liberties of the British subjects of its county, against the arbitrary power of rouge civil magistrates of the highest level.

In 1774, Fairfax County issued a resolution charging that "Resolved that this Colony and Dominion of Virginia cannot be considered as a conquered Country; and if it was, that the presents Inhabitants are the Descendants not of the Conquered, but of the Conquerors." - George Washington Esquire Chairman.

It is also quite interesting to see that further down in the 1774 Fairfax County Resolution, that the county government took the opportunity to end the importation of slaves, and declared its "earnest wishes to see an entire stop for ever put to such a wicked, cruel, and unnatural trade."

In our age, where the President and Congress are on the eve of undermining their respective federal authority with a raw display of the arbitrary use of power in the area of national health care, cap and trade, and vote buying scams of U.S. Senator's votes for special tax dispensation for their respective states, and violating the "general welfare" spirit of the U.S. Constitution, in the finniest tradition of tyrants down the ages. From Roman Emperors to British Kings to socialist dictators like Adolf Hitler and Stalin. We should make practical application of the words written on the Liberty Bell taken right out of Leviticus 25:10, and "Proclaim Liberty throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof" including the unborn. I think it's also called, "never waste a crisis" by the pro-death forces.

Fifteen months after the Fairfax County issued its resolution on April 19th, 1775, Pastor Jonas Clark stood next to widow of a slain militiaman on the Green at Lexington and reminded the world that the Ring of Liberty is not the sound of a bell, but selfless act of a patriot, when he declared that this man had "Driven a death nail into the coffin of Tyranny which will ring into Eternity." What's the point in paying county and state taxes, it will not ring Liberty?
