Grassroots Spotlight: DFW volunteers Determined efforts from volunteers and leaders from the Dallas-Fort Worth area resulted in a FairTax meeting with a Congressman on the Committee on Ways and Means! Due to busy schedules when they are in their home districts, sometimes it can be difficult to get personal time with your Representative in Congress. But Susie Robinson, DFW Fair Tax Volunteer and former Fair Tax District Director for TX-24, stuck with the mission until it was accomplished! After many phone calls and working with Congressman Kenny Marchant's (TX-24) staff, Susie was able to secure a 20 minute window on August 15 to discuss the FairTax. Because of the Congressman's sincere interest in getting his questions about the Fair Tax addressed, the 20 minute meeting with FairTax leaders turned into a productive 45 minutes! While Congressman Marchant has yet to commit to co-sponsor HR 25, the Dallas-Fort Worth Fair Tax Team is confident that the meeting contributed greatly in moving him in the right direction.
