Subject: I have some juicy dirt about Tea Party Express

The other day I received an email from a friend who had heard some false and malicious attacks against the Tea Party Express.  He was concerned and wrote me to ask about it because I've been a part of the Tea Party Express since its inception last year.

When I was talking to the rest of our team about this email I found out that most everyone else had been approached by someone asking them similar questions about a whole range of rumors, accusations, allegations, smears and mischaracterizations of what we at the Tea Party Express are supposedly about.

Seems our friends in the liberal blogs and media outlets (including MSNBC, Media Matters, Huffington Post, TPM Muckracker, Mother Jones, and others) have been doing all sorts of attack hit pieces criticizing the tea party movement as a whole and the Tea Party Express in particular.

And the odd part is, these attacks against the Tea Party Express have made me smile.  You see, I realized that if the left wing bloggers and activists who like what Obama, Pelosi & Reid are doing weren't worried about us in the tea party movement, they'd just ignore us.  The fact that the attacks have been stepped up against this movement as a whole the past several weeks shows me the impact we are making.

Here's what I wrote to my team members at Tea Party Express in response to the attacks:

"You know TPX has become a powerful force when people take shots at you. GREAT WORK! (smile) All the best, Lloyd"

So I tell you what I'm going to do.  I'm going to send you an email in the next few days that will debunk all of the crazy attacks and smears being launched against us.

But first, instead of allowing our critics to define us, I thought I should start by showing you what we at the Tea Party Express are really all about.  We have a record upon which our promises and pledges to you, our supporters, can be evaluated.

I hope you will also please - FORWARD THIS TO YOUR FRIENDS.

I believe actions our speak louder than words of our critics.  Here are just a few of the actions that we at the Tea Party Express have undertaken thanks to your help and support.  This is our record of who we are, and we're proud of it, and I can tell you that I won't let anyone even try to rewrite this history!  Please share these videos  with your friends, so they too can learn what the Tea Party Express is all about:

Denver, Colorado - Tea Party Express Rally

*Note: Get a Kleenex ready.  This video above from the Denver Tea Party Express rally is quite moving, and let's you see deep into the heart and the patriotism and love for this country that pumps through the veins of tea party activists all across this great nation.  Many thanks to Clifton Casida - the man who is shown in the video and who made this awesome video clip!

Brighton, MI - Tea Party Express Rally

Brighton Video 2: The crowd sends a message to D.C.

Brighton Video 3: That's me, That's me! (smile)

Brighton Video 4: The buses arrive, 3 News helicopters overhead

Brighton Video 5: "Joe The Plumber" speaks!

Note: This is was where our PAC Coordinator, Joe Wierzbicki, grew up, so he took on the assignment of organizing this rally.  He wanted to send a shout out of appreciation to Arlene Callaghan and the Geist Family for their efforts to make that day in Brighton one our team will never forget!

Memphis, TN - Tea Party Express Rally

*Note: We had scheduled the Memphis rally to start at 10:00 PM at night.  Local supporters really wanted us to have an event in the Memphis area, but we got in so late for the night that this was the only time we could do it.  They said OK!  But then we ran about 1 1/2 hours LATE due to massive rallies earlier in the day.  So you can see the people waiting around for us at the beginning of the video.  Amazingly most of them stayed all that time to be a part of that historic night.  It was a remarkable evening!

Wichita, KS - Tea Party Express Rally

*Note: When you watch this video above you'll see one of the many reasons why I am proud to call Ron & Kay Rivoli my friends.  "Rivoli Revue" has been on Tea Party Express I and Tea Party Express II and have confirmed with us that they will be on the "Tea Party Express III: Just Vote Them Out" tour.  You're going to love meeting them and joining with them in this fight to take our country back!

San Antonio, TX - Tea Party Express Rally

*Note: What a fantastic event it was at the Alamo!  The crowd was incredible, and I want you all to know how grateful we all are to those who showed up and helped put on this rally.  It was a hot day folks.  Those of us on stage were melting and drenched with sweat, yet many in the crowd had arrived hours earlier to be there in support and stood in that heat for hours on end.  It showed us how passionate the love is for our country by our fellow patriots and how deep the determination is among you to change the course this nation is headed on.

Puyallup, WA - Tea Party Express Rally

*Note: Washington, can you hear us now?  Haha!  This is a fun video.  The excitement in that room that night was electric!  We apparently kept reaching the maximum allowed occupancy in this giant hall which was PACKED.  So they kept making people go outside.  Local organizers got audio for this secondary outflow rally of an additional 1,000 people, and we sent out members of the team to speak to the crowd and shake hands and discuss the future of this nation, and what we can all do to take a stand in the fight for freedom.  An amazing evening.  You'll hear me say that over and over again about so many of these rallies, but it's true.  A sleeping giant has been awoken folks - and we've only just begun to fight!

New Lenox, IL - Tea Party Express Rally

*Note: What do 10,000 patriotic Americans look and sound like?  Find out by watching the video clip above!

Houston, TX - Tea Party Express Rally

*Note:  I've come to find that the tea party folks in Texas know how to put on a tea party!  Love the sign, loved the crowd, and appreciate the work of a number of tea party, 9/12, Free Republic and other conservative activists who helped make this possible.  Thank you!

Ft. Collins, CO - Tea Party Express Rally

*Note: Our team at the Tea Party Express wanted to pass along our special thanks to Lu Ann Busse, Lesley Hollywood, Kathleen Baker, Jeannie K, Amy Oliver and the rest of your Colorado tea party team for working so hard and fast on little notice (bad communication on our end folks, sorry!) and turning the rallies into such fantastic successes!  We look forward to seeing you on Tea Party Express III: Just Vote Them Out tour!

El Paso, TX - Tea Party Express Rally

*Note:  Our rally was scheduled to take place at 10:00 AM on a Wednesday.  We braced ourselves for a poor turnout, which we were fearing and quite frankly, expecting.  Boy were we wrong!

Beaufort, SC - Tea Party Express Rally

*Note: Yep! That's Congressman Joe Wilson, who gained considerable attention after he called out Obama on healthcare with his shout of "You Lie!"  What was incredible was how many people turned out that day for this rally.  You see, Tropical Storm Ida was just reaching the area with bands of rain and wind, with squall lines that hit the area at the beginning and end of our rally.  But not even a tropical storm could stop these patriots from rallying together.  Awesome!

Los Angeles, CA - Tea Party Express Rally

*Note:  This is one of the few cities where the Left was able to organize any sort of counter-demonstration.  It was small, but one of their biggest efforts to protest us during our first two tours.  I like how the woman who made this video noted the difference between true, authentic, grass roots signs made by our tea party supporters versus the manufactured signs of our opponents.

Troy, MI - Tea Party Express Rally

Troy Video 2: Attorney General of Michigan Speaks

Toms River, NJ - Tea Party Express Rally

*Note: This was another rally where the crowd waited for hours for us to arrive.  We left Connecticut earlier in the day in pouring rain.  A storm was moving up the northeast coast, and tornado warnings had been out for south New Jersey earlier in the day.  Local activists thought turnout would be severely depressed by the bad weather.  Then we at the Tea Party Express hit a traffic jam on the way to Toms River, NJ and were delayed by over an hour.  But when we arrived we were overwhelmed.  The local media called it the largest political gathering there in anyone's recollection!

Waco, TX - Tea Party Express Rally

*Note: Special thanks to Toby Marie, Michael, Carol, Becky & Greg, and the rest of the Waco Tea Party.  There were also tea party groups from the surrounding areas who pitched in and helped make this event such a smashing success.  102 degree heat didn't stop thousands of patriots from coming together.  We honor you all with our thanks for making the effort to get involved and help fight back against the bailouts, out-of-control deficit spending, increased government regulation, reduced liberties, push for socialized medicine and government takeovers or oversight over whole new swaths of the U.S. economy.  It was under leadership of both major political parties that these offenses were committed, and we will remember that as we put conservative and constitutional policies ahead of political party affiliation.

Jackson, MS - Tea Party Express Rally

*Note: The trick here is to see that near the top of the video screen you can see the bleachers in the back.  The seats in this stadium were packed and the people you see at ground level are the OVERFLOW crowd on hand to greet the Tea Party Express.  It was an outstanding night of patriotism.  We also collected over $1,000 in donations for the families of the Ft. Hood shooting from this great crowd!

Battle Creek, MI - Tea Party Express Rally

*Note:  Thank you to the people of Battle Creek who patiently waited for us, stayed into the night, and stayed in rain!  What you can't see is the huge crowd that the speakers are facing.  Behind them (and the 2 rows of people behind the speakers) is a pond and lining this pond was a sidwalk packed with hundreds more tea party activists.  We are thankful to you all!

Albuquerque, NM - Tea Party Express Rally

Louisville, KY - Tea Party Express Rally

Portland, OR - Tea Party Express Rally

*Note: Portland has a strong liberal community, and boy-oh-boy were they unhappy that so many people turned out for our Tea Party Express rally.  Apparently the Left thought they had a monopoly on organizing and rallies.  Not so anymore!

Canton, OH - Tea Party Express Rally

Bozeman, MT - Tea Party Express Rally

*Note: One of Obama's local organizers came out to this event.  She was furious with us.  Said our buses were racist, our speakers were racist and this movement was racist.  Why?  Because Barack Obama is 1/2-black; and that the real reason we're all so upset is because of that.  And she was serious.  Poor, misguided, woman.

Beaumont, TX - Tea Party Express Rally

*Note:  These were some of the nicest people you will ever meet.  They just loved their country and they want to do something to help save it.

Walnut Creek, CA - Tea Party Express Rally

*Note: I love this!!! In the San Francisco Bay Area we still found thousands of patriots who are committed to the fight for our country's future!

And now, as we look to to the future I refer you to this story from Fox News showing what we're taking on next.  Calling it "The most ambitious of the tea party events planned" they had this to say about the Tea Party Express III: Just Vote Them Out tour:

*Final note:  Be sure to RSVP your attendance at one or more of our Tea Party Express III: Just Vote Them Out rallies on Facebook.  You can also invite your friends on Facebook to come join us as well.  Complete details - HERE.

An interesting read.  Please feel free to pass it along.

America Truly is the Greatest Country in the World.

Don't Let Freedom Slip Away!

By: Kitty Werthmann (An Austrian who witnessed what took place under Hitler)
What I am about to tell you is something you've probably never heard or read in history books.
I am an eyewitness to history.  I can tell you that Hitler did not take Austria by tanks and guns; it would distort history.  We elected him by a landslide – 98% of the vote.  I've never read that in any American publications.  Everyone thinks Hitler just rolled in with his tanks and took Austria by force.
In 1938, Austria was in deep Depression.  Nearly one-third of our workforce was unemployed.  We had 25% inflation and 25% bank loan interest rates.  Farmers and business people were declaring bankruptcy daily.  Young people were going from house to house begging for food.  Not that they didn't want to work; there simply weren't any jobs.  My mother was a Christian woman and believed in helping people in need.  Every day we cooked a big kettle of soup and baked bread to feed those poor, hungry people – about 30 daily.
The Communist Party and the National Socialist Party were fighting each other.  Blocks and blocks of cities like Vienna , Linz , and Graz were destroyed.  The people became desperate and petitioned the government to let them decide what kind of government they wanted.
We looked to our neighbor on the north, Germany , where Hitler had been in power since 1933.  We had been told that they didn't have unemployment or crime, and they had a high standard of living.  Nothing was ever said about persecution of any group -- Jewish or otherwise.  We were led to believe that everyone was happy.  We wanted the same way of life in Austria . We were promised that a vote for Hitler would mean the end of unemployment and help for the family.  Hitler also said that businesses would be assisted, and farmers would get their farms back.  Ninety-eight percent of the population voted to annex Austria to Germany and have Hitler for our ruler.
We were overjoyed, and for three days we danced in the streets and had candlelight parades.  The new government opened up big field kitchens and everyone was fed.
After the election, German officials were appointed, and like a miracle, we suddenly had law and order.  Three or four weeks later, everyone was employed.  The government made sure that a lot of work was created through the Public Work Service.
Hitler decided we should have equal rights for women.  Before this, it was a custom that married Austrian women did not work outside the home.  An able-bodied husband would be looked down on if he couldn't support his family.  Many women in the teaching profession were elated that they could retain the jobs they previously had been required to give up for marriage.
Hitler Targets Education–Eliminates Religious Instruction for Children:
Our education was nationalized.  I attended a very good public school..  The population was predominantly Catholic, so we had religion in our schools. The day we elected Hitler (March 13, 1938), I walked into my schoolroom to find the crucifix replaced by Hitler's picture hanging next to a Nazi flag. Our teacher, a very devout woman, stood up and told the class we wouldn't pray or have religion anymore.  Instead, we sang "Deutschland, Deutschland, Uber Alles," and had physical education.
Sunday became National Youth Day with compulsory attendance.  Parents were not pleased about the sudden change in curriculum.  They were told that if they did not send us, they would receive a stiff letter of warning the first time.  The second time they would be fined the equivalent of $300, and the third time they would be subject to jail.  The first two hours consisted of political indoctrination.  The rest of the day we had sports.  As time went along, we loved it.  Oh, we had so much fun and got our sports equipment free.  We would go home and gleefully tell our parents about the wonderful time we had.
My mother was very unhappy.  When the next term started, she took me out of public school and put me in a convent.  I told her she couldn't do that and she told me that someday when I grew up, I would be grateful.  There was a very good curriculum, but hardly any fun – no sports, and no political indoctrination.  I hated it at first but felt I could tolerate it.  Every once in a while, on holidays, I went home.  I would go back to my old friends and ask what was going on and what they were doing.  Their loose lifestyle was very alarming to me.  They lived without religion.  By that time unwed mothers were glorified for having a baby for Hitler.  It seemed strange to me that our society changed so suddenly.  As time went along, I realized what a great deed my mother did so that I wasn't exposed to that kind of humanistic philosophy..
          Equal Rights Hits Home:
In 1939, the war started and a food bank was established.  All food was rationed and could only be purchased using food stamps.  At the same time, a full-employment law was passed which meant if you didn't work, you didn't get a ration card, and if you didn't have a card, you starved to death. Women who stayed home to raise their families didn't have any marketable skills and often had to take jobs more suited for men.
Soon after this, the draft was implemented.  It was compulsory for young people, male and female, to give one year to the labor corps.  During the day, the girls worked on the farms, and at night they returned to their barracks for military training just like the boys.  They were trained to be anti-aircraft gunners and participated in the signal corps.  After the labor corps, they were not discharged but were used in the front lines.  When I go back to Austria to visit my family and friends, most of these women are emotional cripples because they just were not equipped to handle the horrors of combat.  Three months before I turned 18, I was severely injured in an air raid attack.  I nearly had a leg amputated, so I was spared having to go into the labor corps and into military service.
Hitler Restructured the Family Through Daycare:
When the mothers had to go out into the work force, the government immediately established child care centers.  You could take your children ages 4 weeks to school age and leave them there around-the-clock, 7 days a week, under the total care of the government.  The state raised a whole generation of children.  There were no motherly women to take care of the children, just people highly trained in child psychology.  By this time, no one talked about equal rights.  We knew we had been had.

Health Care and Small Business Suffer Under Government Controls:

Before Hitler, we had very good medical care.  Many American doctors trained at the University of Vienna ...  After Hitler, health care was socialized, free for everyone.  Doctors were salaried by the government.  The problem was, since it was free, the people were going to the doctors for everything. When the good doctor arrived at his office at 8 a.m., 40 people were already waiting and, at the same time, the hospitals were full..  If you needed elective surgery, you had to wait a year or two for your turn.  There was no money for research as it was poured into socialized medicine.  Research at the medical schools literally stopped, so the best doctors left Austria and emigrated to other countries.
As for healthcare, our tax rates went up to 80% of our income.  Newlyweds immediately received a $1,000 loan from the government to establish a household.  We had big programs for families.  All day care and education were free.  High schools were taken over by the government and college tuition was subsidized.  Everyone was entitled to free handouts, such as food stamps, clothing, and housing.
We had another agency designed to monitor business.  My brother-in-law owned a restaurant that had square tables.  Government officials told him he had to replace them with round tables because people might bump themselves on the corners.  Then they said he had to have additional bathroom facilities. It was just a small dairy business with a snack bar.  He couldn't meet all the demands.  Soon, he went out of business.  If the government owned the large businesses and not many small ones existed, it could be in control..
We had consumer protection.  We were told how to shop and what to buy.  Free enterprise was essentially abolished.  We had a planning agency specially designed for farmers..  The agents would go to the farms, count the live-stock, and then tell the farmers what to produce, and how to produce it.

"Mercy Killing" Redefined:

In 1944, I was a student teacher in a small village in the Alps .  The villagers were surrounded by mountain passes which, in the winter, were closed off with snow, causing people to be isolated.  So people intermarried and offspring were sometimes retarded.  When I arrived, I was told there were 15 mentally retarded adults, but they were all useful and did good manual work.  I knew one, named Vincent, very well.  He was a janitor of the school..  One day I looked out the window and saw Vincent and others getting into a van.  I asked my superior where they were going.  She said to an institution where the State Health Department would teach them a trade, and to read and write.  The families were required to sign papers with a little clause that they could not visit for 6 months.  They were told visits would interfere with the program and might cause homesickness.
As time passed, letters started to dribble back saying these people died a natural, merciful death.  The villagers were not fooled.  We suspected what was happening.  Those people left in excellent physical health and all died within 6 months.  We called this euthanasia.
The Final Steps - Gun Laws:
Next came gun registration.  People were getting injured by guns.  Hitler said that the real way to catch criminals (we still had a few) was by matching serial numbers on guns.  Most citizens were law abiding and dutifully marched to the police station to register their firearms.  Not long after-wards, the police said that it was best for everyone to turn in their guns.  The authorities already knew who had them, so it was futile not to comply voluntarily.
No more freedom of speech.  Anyone who said something against the government was taken away.  We knew many people who were arrested, not only Jews, but also priests and ministers who spoke up.
Totalitarianism didn't come quickly; it took 5 years from 1938 until 1943, to realize full dictatorship in Austria.  Had it happened overnight, my countrymen would have fought to the last breath.  Instead, we had creeping gradualism.  Now, our only weapons were broom handles.  The whole idea sounds almost unbelievable that the state, little by little eroded our freedom.
After World War II, Russian troops occupied Austria.  Women were raped, preteen to elderly.  The press never wrote about this either.  When the Soviets left in 1955, they took everything that they could, dismantling whole factories in the process.  They sawed down whole orchards of fruit, and what they couldn't destroy, they burned.  We called it The Burned Earth.  Most of the population barricaded themselves in their houses.  Women hid in their cellars for 6 weeks as the troops mobilized.  Those who couldn't; paid the price.  There is a monument in Vienna today, dedicated to those women who were massacred by the Russians.  This is an eye witness account.
"It's true….those of us who sailed past the Statue of Liberty came to a country of unbelievable freedom and opportunity.  America Truly is the Greatest Country in the World. Don't Let Freedom Slip Away.
"After America, there is No Place else to Go!"
Count what you have seen taken away in your life time from removing religion from schools to registering guns.  Our County will not be taken away as quickly as Austria was, but so much has already been taken, and since it is small step by step.......most don't have an issue with it.  Once it is gone it is gone for good. You may get tired of continually receiving emails of those fighting for all these different issues....but the above true story is what happens when enough has been given up, and the right leader gets in control.  In our case it will probably come from a  leader after we have no way to defend ourselves, AND since we have to remain politically correct, we will not object when a candidate runs, who is obviously against our best interest, but is popular in the media....that mind set has to change and we must do what is best for this Country and our childrens future in it.

Power concedes nothing without a demand. It never did and it never will. Find out just what any people will quietly submit to and you have the exact measure of the injustice and wrong which will be imposed on them, and these will continue till they have been resisted with either words or blows, or with both.. The limits of tyrants are prescribed by the endurance of those whom they suppress.

Setting the Record Straight on Tea Party Nation #tcot #sgp #912 #mob #nra #beck

Please read the e-mail below before my comment:
Folks, we need to remember that our TeaParty Patriot movement has raised the fear level of losing power in many Caucus like DNC, RNC and all RINOs who are finding the brand of nationalist on their name.  They are all fighting to divide our Movement and instead of trusting those involved, we are being turned to negative thoughts.  For example, let's say that Tea Party Nation was to get paid for their service or make money.  How does that differ from what is happening all around us.  We need to step out in Faith and keep a broom around in case we find dirt.
As to the Ethics Committee scaring speakers into dropping out, how big the reach of the Shadow goes.  Reminds one of what happened to Ross Perot, when it threatened the life of his daughter if he stayed in the race.  There needs to be an full disclosure investigation of the Ethics Boards actions here, not a dark shadow on we Patriots.
Thank you Sherry fro finally standing up.  Your timing may just be a blessing.  If I were you , I would ask Governor Huckabee to drop everything and come to speak.  He just may~

Subject: Setting the Record Straight

A message to all members of Tea Party Nation

Setting The Record Straight

by Sherry Phillips
Judson and I have stayed silent in the face of intense media scrutiny
and attacks by former members.  As a wife and a mother, I have stood
by my husband and family and stayed strong in the face of many baseless
accusations and criticism.  We have refrained from responding to many of the attacks that have been thrown at us from other "Tea Party" groups, in the belief we did not want to spread the divisions that are already hurting this movement even though that does not seem to be the consideration of some others involved in this movement.  Because of the
many TPN members' requests
and encouragement, I have decided to provide comment about Tea Party
Nation and the National Tea Party Convention.
We will stay silent no longer.  I hope my comments
and the issues I deal with in this note will provide some clarity.
American Liberty Alliance - Eric Odom's American Liberty Alliance
is a for profit company that takes donations.  We agreed to a sponsorship
exchange where ALA would be a gold sponsor of the convention and we
would be a gold sponsor of the Tax Day Tea Party.  Shortly after agreeing
to this exchange,  Eric emailed Judson and me privately saying he was
supportive of us and this convention and did not want to pull out, because
he thinks this convention is going to be a huge success; however, some
his "influential supporters"  were not happy about ALA's participation
in the convention and asked Eric to withdraw.
American Majority - After stating in the beginning they wanted
to co-sponsor the convention, they never answered repeated emails sent
asking them for confirmation of their attendance. They did not promote
the convention and did not put the convention on their calendar.
In fact Ned Ryun spent 5 minutes in an interview on Fox News talking
about the Tea Party movement and did not mention the convention at all.
Meanwhile, another training organization contacted us asking if they could
become a sponsor and if they could do a breakout session.  We gladly
accepted and gave them American Majority's spots.  On January 6, Ned's
assistant sent an email stating she was making travel arrangements for
them to come and participate in the convention and asked when did we
have their breakouts scheduled.  I told her because of their non-response,
we gave American Majority's slots to this other organization. They
then requested that their logo be removed from the Convention website.
We complied with their request.

Tea Party Express - This group has been very supportive of us.  They intended to do a small tour, culminating in an event Saturday afternoon prior to the banquet.  Because of their efforts in the Scott Brown race and their intent to go after Harry Reid in Nevada, they simply cannot make the trip.  We received a very nice email from them explaining their actions and restating their invitation to join them when they kick off their next tour in March.  We will be there.  We fully support their endeavors as they open their next tour in Nevada this spring.
Campaign for Liberty - We actively sought out Campaign for Liberty
as a sponsor of this convention.  We were contacted several weeks ago
by the TN Director for CFL who wanted to co-sponsor the convention and
I put him in touch with our Sponsorship Chair.  We have not heard anything
from them since.
Former Tea Party Nation Members - Several former members were
unanimously banned from our site for reasons running the gamut from
antagonism to passing on confidential information.  These members have
been blogging, as well as discussing their association with liberal media outlets
and conspiring with each other to, "Take TPN and this convention
In one of their more egregious statements a former member wrote that
Judson stated, "I want to make a million dollars from this movement."
Judson has never made this statement.  He has stated on numerous occasions
that he would like TPN to have a million members all fighting for the
cause of conservatism!
Bill Hemrick - Mr. Hemrick made a business loan to Tea Party
Nation at a commercial interest rate.  This loan has been paid back in
full.  That is the full extent of any relationship we have had with Mr.
Congressmen Bachmann and Blackburn - Both Congresswomen have
large targets on their backs and are rightfully concerned about backlash
they will receive from the left-leaning Democrat controlled House Ethics
Committee.  Because of the complexity of the Ethics Code regarding House
Representatives, we have no doubt the Democrats would have found something
in that code to cause them problems once the convention was over.  We
were also informed by Rep. Bachmann that both were being told two different
things by the House Ethics Committee in regard to their participation.
This of course sent up red flags to everyone involved.  We do not blame
either Congressman for their decision to withdraw from the convention
and maintain a strong relationship with them both.
Tea Party Nation - Last February after Judson held one of the
first tea parties in the country in downtown Nashville, he came up with
the idea for a social networking site for conservatives. Judson and
I created Tea Party Nation.  We formed the corporation. We financed the
corporation. We bought the domain name
teapartynation.com, we purchased the servers and we pay for the
monthly expenses.  We are a C-Corp and do not accept donations.  Tea Party
Nation charges nothing to be a member and is run entirely by volunteers.
Recently, we have been able to start charging for advertising on the
site to help defray the costs of running the site.

As TPN has stated since its formation, we are not a non-profit.  We prefer to offer free membership to conservative patriots so they may participate in the political process of restoring this nation to its founding principles without financial burdens, hardships or roadblocks to prevent their participation.  Members are then able to choose their own way to spend their money without any involvement from TPN.

PayPal Account - We are using a business PayPal account for the convention.  An email address is required to notify a contact when
payment is received and we are using my TPN email account at
sherry@teapartynation.com as that notification email address.  All money
in that account is transferred directly into the TPN business bank account.
We fully expect to break even during this event.  We may even make
a few thousand dollars to cover local operating costs of TPN.
We have made the best of a tight budget and scaled back the price of
attending this convention as much as we could without putting TPN into
bankruptcy.  The convention is sold out and we have a waiting list of

Say "No" to Gary Peters - "Yes" to Consumer Choice. Rally Tomorrow #mitcot #rightmi

Gary Peters
Concerned Citizens will Gather to Rally Against Socialized Medicine and
FOR Consumer Choice in Health Care

Tomorrow, Saturday, January 30, 2010, from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM, a gathering of tea party activists, Republicans, independents and conservative Democrats from the 9th district and surrounding areas will gather in Bloomfield Township, near U.S. Congressman Gary Peters' home, to tell Mr. Peters, "No Thanks" to the healthcare takeover scheme that continues to be pushed by Congressional Democrats and President Obama.
The activists will also be walking the surrounding neighborhoods with literature detailing the huge boondoggle this massive government entitlement would be.  The printed material will have information about how to contact Congressman Peters and encourage frustrated citizens to respectfully express their opinion on his previous 'yes' vote, as well as urging him to vote 'no' on any further consideration on the package of bills.  Special guest speakers will include Americans for Prosperity, Michigan State Board Chair, Jack Hoogendyk.
Activists will gather at the MDOT carpool parking lot at I-75 and exit 74 (Adams Road), Bloomfield Township, near the northwest corner of Adams & Square Lake Roads.
