Shhhh...It's A Senate Secret! | FairTax Friday

*"The very word 'secrecy' is repugnant in a free and open society; and we
are as a people inherently and historically opposed to secret societies, to
secret oaths, and to secret proceedings." - John F. Kennedy*

Shhhh... It's A Senate Secret

Founding Father Thomas Paine said, "These are the times that try men's

I can only imagine the incredible shame that Paine and our other Founding
Fathers would feel today if they knew how the U.S. Senate's top tax writers
have "promised their colleagues 50 years of
secrecy<http://www.fairtax.org/site/R?i=5-oh1MA6rd5ose_sIQpguQ> in
exchange for suggestions on what deductions and credits to preserve in tax

If your Senator is a member of the Senate Finance
you no longer have to pretend that the person you thought represented YOU,
cares one iota what you think, or has a care in the world about the
disastrous impact the current tax code is having on you, your family or
your ability to get and keep gainful employment.

They have one concern and one concern only – protecting "K" street special
interests loopholes and exemptions being "discussed" in the name of
"comprehensive tax reform."

*Translation: hold on to your wallet, it is about to get very, very thin. *

who elected them. Supporting S. 122, the FairTax Act, requires no secrecy,
no begging, has no carve outs and doesn't need the National Archives to
provide a cloak of darkness for cowardly Members who pander to special
interests while pretending in public to represent the hard working people
who elected them and pay their salary.

*So, what do you do?*

If everyone knew all there is to know, they would not do half the things they do, including myself, therefore I must foregive them, including myself.
