Another flaw is making the assumption, as if a rich person writing this article to hide the fact, that today the rich do not pay taxes per say. Congress has amended the last flat tax we got from President Reagan, who signed that flat tax in to counter the effect of a free trade policy with an closed border tax structure in place. Congress has amended the IRS tax code over 1,200 times, selling their soul to the devil in the process and now want to hit the reset button of another flat tax to do it all over again?
Also, rich people don't have incomes. Their wealth comes from many other avenues and one that has drained the USA of wealth is off shore investments and savings.
The poor and middle income will benefit the most as their plight has much to do with no good paying jobs. By not taxing production, jobs will flood back tot he USA and all those jobs we lost over the past 30 years under the last flat tax will come back. There will be more jobs then workers, which will promote inflation caused by wages, something not allowed since the 1913 Federal reserve started controlling Loan interest to keep unemployment at 5% or higher, thus providing an over abundance of employees.
The other factor and most important, today, all federal taxes are being placed, embedded in domestic product prices to pay for them by the employer. By switching to a consumption tax, we take those out lowering product cost and with the prebate and workers keeping their gross paychecks, the adding of 23% of that embedded tax price, it is a near wash in cost to Citizens. The 30% exclusive tax is what brings the price back to the same cost of before deducting the 23% embedded tax, providing a neutral level of tax revenue to the Federal Government.
Greetings,
The Michigan Fair Tax needs your support. We can help create more awareness only if we all do a little bit. We are looking for bridge walkers. It is a fun event with thousands of Michigan citizens attending. It would be awesome to see a bunch of Michigan Fair Tax apparel on a large group of Fair Tax supporters crossing the bridge.
Fairtax Bob will be parked at the North end of the bridge Sunday Sept. 4 most of the evening and through Noon Sunday Sept. 4, Labor Day. The Blue Fairtaxmobile will be a brochure and Fairtax infomation center. Michigan Fair Tax shirts are available for a donation of just $10.00. Let's see how many supporters we can get to attend. Bob hopes to be parked at around 7PM Sunday. A detailed map is attached. Bus transportation to the starting point will be available beginning at 5:30 AM Labor Day. The walkers will start at 7:30 and may start till 11:00 AM. It's a fun way to spend Labor Day and could be a big help to the Fair Tax cause.
Please help by forwrading this to any Fair Tax supporters you may know. Bring friends. Don't let Bob be lonely up there.
Thank you and keep smiling.
RESOLUTION OPPOSING "NATIONAL POPULAR VOTE COMPACT"
WHEREAS, the Constitutional method of electing the President of the United States through the
Electoral College was the method deemed best by the founding fathers of the United States of
America for ensuring state sovereignty because all states, both large and small, are included in
the presidential election process; and,
WHEREAS, the Constitution preserves the balance of power and authority between the federal
and state governments through the mechanism of the Electoral College; and,
WHEREAS, the Electoral College has been tested and proven itself over 56 presidential
elections as the method to best preserve our representative form of democracy, resulting in the
election of a President by a majority of electoral votes not a mere plurality; and,
WHEREAS, the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact" if successfully implemented would
eviscerate the constitutional Electoral College process of electing the President of the United
States; and,
WHEREAS, the "National Popular Vote Interstate Compact" if successfully implemented would
radically change the way we elect our President through a questionable legal maneuver
by changing the rules of presidential elections via a compact between as few as 11 states instead
of the normal 38 states needed to amend the Constitution; and,
WHEREAS, under the "National Popular Vote Interstate Compact," if successfully implements
would make a non-member state's electoral votes are irrelevant because member states electoral votes would number 270 or more and they would award their votes to the national popular voter winner, effectively destroying the Electoral College; and,
WHEREAS, the "National Popular Vote Interstate Compact" if successfully implemented would
undermine state authority and give more populated media markets power over the voice of the
states; therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the Republican National Committee opposes this attempt to undermine the
U.S. Constitution and the Electoral College by way of the "National Popular Vote Interstate
Compact;" and, further be it
RESOLVED, the Republican National Committee does fully endorse retaining the
constitutionally approved and time-tested Electoral College method of awarding electoral votes
to candidates to win the office of President United States of America; and be it further
RESOLVED, the Republican National Committee strongly encourages all state legislatures and
Governors to reject the "National Popular Vote Interstate Compact."

Florida GOP: Bachmann's decision to skip straw poll a 'bad move' By Amanda Carey The Daily Caller Rep. Michele Bachmann's meteoric rise to front-runner status in the Republican presidential hunt will not take her to the Presidency 5 Straw Poll event in Florida in September. Though Bachmann will participate in a Fox News debate just days earlier, the decision to skip the Sunshine State's straw poll has Floridians scratching their heads. Florida-based media consultant Rick Wilson told The Daily Caller, "If you're ready for prime-time, you'll be at Presidency 5. If not, well, good luck with that whole regional campaign thing." Poll: Tea party less popular than Muslims, atheists By Laura Donovan The Daily Caller Being a tea party member is no cup of tea. According to a recent New York Times/CBS survey, tea party members are less popular than atheists, Muslims, Republicans, Democrats, and 21 other groups. The movement has lost 20 percent of its supporters and gained 40 percent more opponents, according to the poll. Another NYT/CBS poll published earlier this month revealed that the tea party's unfavorable rating had increased 29 percent since April. Read The Full Story | |
Christine O'Donnell Walks Off Piers Morgan Interview By Nellie Andreeva Deadline In a bizarre incident, former Delaware GOP Senate candidate Christine O'Donnell today walked out of the taping of an interview for CNN's Piers Morgan Tonight, which is set to air tonight. The tipping point was Morgan's question about her stance on gay marriage. (By that point, he had already quizzed her on witchcraft and sex with the tension between the two visibly escalating, especially when Morgan repeatedly asked O'Donnell to address old comments about masturbation she had made in an 1990s MTV documentary special.) "You're being a little rude," she told him several times before asking her handlers "Are we done?" and taking off her microphone. But not before schooling Morgan on conducting interviews: "Don't you think as a host if I say 'This what I wanna talk about', that's what we should address?" O'Donnell was on the show promoting her book Troublemaker. "My first ever walk-out in 25 years of interviews," Morgan wrote on Twitter. "I guess viewers can decide if I was 'rude' or not tonight." Here is the video, judge for yourselves. UPDATE: After airing the unfinished interview on his show tonight, Morgan invited O'Donnell to return tomorrow and promised not to be rude. The foundational purpose of switching to a consumption tax verses the production tax or labor tax which is taken directly from the worker without even owning it, is to get jobs. When the employer pays the federal taxes, he has to recoup those taxes by placing the cost of the Federal tax into the price of the domestic product. We are handicapping our own industry in America by using the old closed border tax we had when Reagan gave us Free trade. What has happened since then? We have lost industry, watching it be distributed to the world. We should have switched to an open border tax structure, like FairTax, 30 years ago. Incidental, FairTax came about at that time and has been tweaked for 30 years and has had 20 million dollars spent on it vetting its worth.
We want Jobs? Getting more of the same song and dance from the coupe Federal Government is not the answer. Under Reagan congress gave us a flat tax to help stimulate the economy. What it stimulated and the current flat tax proposed will do also, is it gave congress the ability to sell graft tax wavers at the tune of over 1,200 amendments to the IRS tax code. The current new flat tax is what is known as the reset button, to recycle all that corruption to fill Congressman campaign funds. They don't want you, the Citizen to benefit from a tax structure change, but to keep their evil ways of greed. Demand we go to the FairTax and bring back sanity in the Congress, as they will suddenly have we the people to cater too, rather then a slew of lobbyists with nothing to present as bribes.
Alexander Hamilton stated that the least burdensome tax structure is the sales tax as if you cannot afford to pay it, you don't have to. The charts show that the 90% of the people will benefit from this new FairTax plan. Those who are criminals or illegals, under the table will suddenly have to pay their fair share. That is how 90% benefit from a tax neutral change in tax reform. We need our industry jobs back and fairtax will bring an approximate 15% price advantage to domestic made in the USA products over imports. The Steel industry touts that it only takes a 10% advantage to put them back to work.
Don't let the communist Marxist progressive income tax fool you into thinking it is your friend. Most rich people do not pay taxes as they have either bribed congress for a waver, taken their money off shore to hide it and most importantly, most do not make incomes. Wealth is not taxes, unless you tax their spending. Also, if you just seen the 60 minutes show on corporations hiding their wealth off shore to avoid taxes. Remember, they took our industry offshore for the very same reason, to avoid federal taxes by importing the very product we used to make. We are to the end of this rope and no raising of taxes or cutting of spending can save us from what is coming. Only changing the tax structure to a consumption tax will do so.

This Land is our Land and the Constitution says~ 'The federal Government cannot own any land without the permission of the State who does'; that includes minerals. When the Federal Government votes to make a Territory a State, ownership of the Land is, by Constitutional Decree, also transferred to the State.
Any State paying the Federal Government rent is aiding and abetting the current Federal Government Coupe.
Time to join the Teaparty States.
International Planned Parenthood Federation? Eugenics? Place all non-entitlement unconstitutional spending on a 10% expenditure cut from previous year, every year until gone. Entitlements transition well into private owned HSA/IRAs, locally invested and State mandated(or not).
In a Free Trade society, the least amount of expense in a the product price provides the greatest competition for employment. Our IRS Tax Code adds to the expense of our domestic product, making goods cost about 22% more, in detailed proof at www.FairTax.org . By changing to an open market tax structure, consumption tax, the USA, We, are expected to experience a 10% GDP growth after the first year implemented and for years to come. Liberty comes from having the power to pay your taxes, or not, based on your ability to afford to buy something or control something. Under FairTax, no purchases are taxed up to the maximum level of poverty established by pre-paying Citizens with prebate checks.
...Postal officials have said they will be unable to make a $5.5 billion payment to cover future employee health care costs due Sept. 30. It is the only federal agency required to make such a payment but, because of the complex way government finances are counted, eliminating it would make the federal budget deficit appear $5.5 billion larger.
If Congress doesn't act and current losses continue, the post office will be unable to make that payment at the end of September because it will have reached its borrowing limit and simply won't have the cash to do so, the agency said earlier.
In that event, Postmaster General Patrick Donahoe said, "Our intent is to continue to deliver the mail, pay our employees and pay our suppliers."
Postal officials have sought congressional assistance repeatedly over the last few years, including requests to be allowed to end Saturday mail delivery, and several bills have been proposed, but none has been acted on.
In addition, the post office recently said it is considering closing 3,653 post offices, stations and other facilities, about one-10th of its offices around the country, in an effort to save money. Offices under consideration for closing are largely rural with little traffic.
And in June, the post office suspended contributions to its employees' pension fund, which it said was overfunded.
In its 2010 annual report the post office reported a loss of more than $8 billion on revenues of $67 billion and expenses of $75 billion.
And even while total mail volume fell from 202 billion items to 170 billion from 2008 to 2010, the number of places the agency has to deliver mail increased by 1.7 million as Americans built new homes, offices and businesses.
The latest cutback plans were first reported by The Washington Post, which said a notice to employees informing them of its proposals stated: "Financial crisis calls for significant actions, we will be insolvent next month due to significant declines in mail volume and retiree health benefit prefunding costs imposed by Congress."
The Associated Press contributed to this report.
Having worked over 30 Years for the USPS, my humble opinion of cutting Saturday delivery will not save the Postal Service much in revenue, if at all. The volume of mail handles will be rolled into the workload of the full time workers form the substitute carriers and mailhandlers. This increase in volume will cause many routes sitting on the edge of being split off to reduce size; will suddenly do so, making for an drastic increase in workers in full time status, with benefits.
The closing of the offices within a 5 mile radius into one office has been a need since Henry Ford built the first car. Pride of having the Post office was high back before the reform in the 1970's, with Post Masters appointed by Township/City Supervisors. Now, pride is in having a zip code for your own community, hardly a reason for the fiscal waste. The Postal Service has done their homework on closing, and is ready to do it. All Congress needs to do is, start eating at problems one bit at a time, not waiting for volumes of a resolution to move forward.
The Pre-paying of the Retiree healthcare fund was a shift by Congress under the Bush Administration to help with the Federal Budget, shifting it onto stamps. The concept of Mail delivery is not yet out of order, as many still depend on the Postal Service as Benjamin Franklin designed it for, universal service.
There is one concept that I shun to share, but it is a fact, the Postal Service would break even if they paid customers $100.00 per year to use the P.O. Box Section, as that is the average cost of delivering to one residence. Why I shun the thought, the energy wasted to retrieve mail.

FairTax is tax structure change which is neutral in tax revenue change to Federal Government. Inclusive 22% current hidden fed. tax is replaced by 23% inclusive or 30% of price lowered by current federal tax removed from product, less the gross paycheck amount workers get, plus the prebate which is 4% of the 23% tax. making for a gain in cashflow for those of high middle income and less. Not a lie, truth in full view. Taxes no longer hidden in product equals JOBS!!! And reality of how much the Federal government has been taking is now printed out in the sales receipt.
If a widget costs a dollar today, 22% average of that price is federal tax included in the price by the employer recouping this expense. That brings the price down to $.78 . To get the 22% of tax back, sales tax has to be 30% of $.78 = $.234 in tax.
Remember that 4% of the 23% is prebate, not to be confused with current tax, but it is a removal of federal taxes on the first dollars spent on essentials. Thus the inclusive tax of 23% or sales tax of 30% is less then the present day 22% inclusive tax in domestic product, meaning it is 19% inclusive sales tax under fairtax. How is it that we can collect less % then we do from business and employees wages? All those under the table, illegals, rich with congress tax wavers bought by graft, wealth not now taxes, will be paying their fair share.

public debt should be reduced, the arrogance of officialdom should be

work, instead of living on public assistance."

So, evidently nothing.
Now that we the people have the attention of DC on Federal spending, are we sure they think as we do and mean the same as we do in cutting spending? This comment by John Crawford of Michigan speaks to how they are approaching the cuts in spending now (8/2/2011 debt extension), while passing off true cuts to future Congress:
You decide that you need a new car. The car that you want and would look really good in is a new BMW 760 Li. So you and your wife take one out for a test drive and you mentally park that Beemer in your garage. The one issue that you pause over is that the BMW 760 Li will cost you $107,412.28 - IF you paid cash for it; MORE if you finance it.
You go home and think about. The next day, you decide to be smart and go out and by a brand new Dodge Grand Caravan Mini-Van for $27,412.28.
You are now in debt for the $27, 412.28, PLUS taxes, insurance and interest payments - BUT YOU GET TO ANNOUNCE TO THE WORLD THAT YOU JUST CUT $80,000 out of your household spending!
Is there any surprise WHY very few Americans trust their government any more?
