- 82% said that health care was an issue of high priority.
- 60% said that Congress should start from scratch.
- A majority agreed that health care legislation would do more harm than good, making them and their loved ones (53%), the economy (54%), and the U.S. health care system (55%) worse off.
- 7 out of 10 would vote against a House member who votes for the Senate health care bill with its special interest provisions, including 72% of independents.
