Below is an open letter
To the Consumer Protection Agency of the USA Federal Government:
Radial tires are great for the ride, but if you break one strand or hit a bump too hard, the tire goes out of round and we must replace it before it's time. I recommend this be investigated for lack of will to change to a web pattern which would eliminate this hazard and waste.
Note that you as the Federal Government do not have total authority over the use of tires in a State, thus your recommendation will prompt States to look at banning the weak tires.
Tires filled with a jell instead of air, with stop leak capability would be a great advantage to both use and mileage.

R. George Dunn
