Good morning!
Attacks on core freedoms are bringing out Michigan's greatest strength: its passionate, principled, committed people.
In the past month, over 100,000 Michigan employees were hit with vaccine mandates at work. Hundreds turned to Michigan Healthcare Freedom for waivers, information, and opportunities to make a difference.
PRAISE: I thank God for the opportunity to serve these new friends! We prepared for ten years to be here for such a time as this.
NEXT: Web Update!
I eagerly anticipate the day when manual entry for all the emails is automated on our brand-new website. We expect to go live next week!

Dozens turned out to testify last week on House Bill 4471, to ban making certain vaccines a condition of employment.
Watch the hearing to see how extreme Michigan hospitals have become! [click here].
I submitted testimony on behalf of MHF. It will be posted on the new website.
Bad news: No committee vote has been scheduled.
TAKE ACTION: Please urge your legislators to pass this bill with employee protections intact.
Parents were outraged this month when public health departments overrode elected school boards with mask mandates.
On August 19, I attended the special public hearing called by the Allegan Board of Commissioners regarding my Public Health Department's K-6 mask mandate. I posted a report on the MHF facebook group afterwards.
I'm so proud of my county! Pretty sure Allegan people are the most creative and freedom-loving in the entire state.
This week, our Public Health Department announced a mask mandate for all the county schools. Within days, hundreds of parents were networking, planning homeschool and online combo options, arranging space and supplies and all the things that go with running your own education for your kids.
Today, the county commissioners held a 1 pm meeting for people to comment. And did they ever!
The county lawyer spoke first. Then it was the people's turn. The commissioners heard about parental rights, individual student needs, last year's experience, summer school, opposing science, and every constitutional, natural law, philosophical, economic, legal, moral, medical, emotional, and other argument you can imagine. There was a break for the health department's presentation from about 3:50-4:30. (I give the medical officer credit for showing up in person to face a somewhat hostile audience.) Then the people resumed.
I used my five minutes to say that at over 1 million variants, this virus is indeed with us, and we need to learn to live with it. Vulnerability varies from person to person, as does lasting immunity. It's only a question of who makes the decision about mitigation. The trouble with mandates is that they turn some people into policemen, and raise resistance in others.
I lost track of the numbers who cycled through the meeting and overflow rooms and back out to the blazing hot parking lot set up with a speaker from inside. The vast majority opposed the mandate. (I passed out a lot of information about the cool MHF fb group. 🙂 🙂 🙂 )
We were rewarded about 6:30 when the Board of Commissioners voted 6-1 for a strongly-worded resolution against the health department mask mandate. I'll post the resolution when it's available.
Be encouraged, people of principle and freedom. You are not alone, and together we can accomplish anything!
Click on each county to see Allegan, Genesee, Kalamazoo, Kent, Oakland, and Ottawa County residents gathering by the hundreds, protesting to their health departments and elected county commissioners. Some officials responded by leaving choice to parents. Some retained the mandate, while other decisions like my county's are still pending.
ACTION: What can you do if your county has a school mask mandate?
- Please pray for local officials to see individual rather than public health needs.
Broad mandates are a false promise. Instead of peace and safety, they create local discord. They prevent neighbors coming together to help the vulnerable on a case by case basis. Parents and teachers can figure out appropriate measures for each classroom for themselves. They can do it better without the outside interference of mandates. - Network! Crowdsource ideas and energy in person and on social media.
You, in your county, with your network, are the only ones who can grow and utilize your resources of local knowledge, contacts, skills, and passion to fight for freedom.
Our commitment: MHF will host one protest information post for each county in our state-wide facebook group to help you rally attendance.
The MHF group may give you ideas. (Click the link below the signature line; answer questions to join.)
Dive in! I'm praying for your success to benefit many.
Best,
Abby
PS. A correction to the MHF Individual Guide to COVID-19:
Riboflavin is Vitamin B2. Quercetin is a bioflavonoid. Both act as antioxidants and have been suggested as aids to fighting SARS CoV-2, but they are not identical as I stated. My apologies for the error. Abigail Nobel, BSN, RN, MA

If everyone knew all there is to know, they would not do half the things they do, including myself, therefore I must foregive them, including myself.
