Congress has been bribed over 1,900 times in IRS Tax Code Amendments since Reagan gave us the last flat tax.  The best way to cure the deficit ceiling is to put everyone back to work.

Since Reagan gave us free trade policies, we have kept our tax structure with the closed border production tax.  Now we are competing with imports having n average 22% handicap of federal taxes embedded in the price of domestic product.  Even a loaf of bread has 22% higher cost in it's price.

We need to end the One State spending going on and go back to having 50 nations, fifty States deciding on their own spending for control of property and morals.  We need to hand off federal entitlements with the State being given a date certain when citizens will no longer qualify for Social Security and medicare/aid.  Transitioning with option based on age and every dollar repatriated from Social security.  Give the States the recommendation of mandating HSA/IRAs, privately owned and local investment an option.

By putting the change of entitlements in sync with the implementation of the consumption open border tax, FairTax, you will find a smooth transition as payroll taxes are one of the many that disappear with FairTax.  Here is list of fixes FairTax will do:
