Propaganda (n) - information, ideas, or rumors deliberately spread widely to help or harm a person, group, movement, institution or nation.
Propaganda is a primary tool in the elected official’s toolbox. In a liberated society, in contrast with a no-holds-barred despotic society like North Korea, the people must be gently prodded to accept more and more control by a national government. The average DC’ver uses various tools of propaganda to accomplish this. Here is a partial list, broken into two categories, with examples of more recent propaganda emanating from the DC’vers in DC:
