Murtha Article in Washington Post| Replace him with Tim Burns

R. George Dunn endorse Tim Burns for 12th Dist Representative of PA

Dear R. George,

Today, Congressman Murtha is in the national spotlight again. The Washington Post published an article which points out that even though Murtha steers federal earmarks to his district at a rate of $100 million/year, his district is still economically distressed. The article goes on further to point out that even though some of his earmarks have generated jobs, half of the companies that have benefited from his earmarks are no longer in business and some of the jobs that have been created have been created at a cost of $2 million dollars per job!.

Even with billions of dollars in earmarks being brought to the district in the past decade, the area is still distressed and the unemployment rate has actually increased. Isn't it time we create a business friendly environment that can benefit all motivated entrepreneurs, not just ones with ties to powerful Congressmen? This is yet another example of what is wrong with Washington.

Looking Forward in 2010

This country has just survived a very difficult year. We survived a stock market crash, a severe recession, a falling dollar, and a disastrous presidency. The year is over, but our fight is not. In fact, this country is in a fight for its life. With these and other problems, there is much to be concerned about in 2010. But there is also much reason for hope. This year we saw millions of people across the nation participate in Tea Party protests. And we saw great Americans all over this country attend healthcare town hall meetings to confront and challenge their elected officials. We saw thousands of people descend on Washington at a moment's notice to make their voices heard in healthcare rallies this fall and winter. While it's true, Congress didn't listen, it is also true that the American public is now awake and ready for action!

I truly believe that the decisions we make in the next few years will determine the fate of this country. It is that serious. That is why it is so important that you do everything you can to help turn things around. The Congressional elections in 2010 are probably the most important elections of our lifetime. It is critical that we get the right people elected to Congress. And I'm not just talking about Republicans. I'm talking about good conservatives that believe in the Constitution of the United States; people that have a desire to protect our freedoms and our liberties.

That is why I have decided to run for Congress against John Murtha. I'm not a politician. I am a concerned American. I am doing everything I can to help ensure that our children can inherit a strong America. I hope you will do the same. If you believe as I do, that America is fighting for its survival, then please find candidates you can get behind and generously support them. Conservative candidates are this country's best hope for survival. And remember; don't limit yourself to only supporting candidates in your district. EVERY SEAT COUNTS! We need as many new conservative faces in Congress as possible, if we want to take back this country.

I have high hopes for this year. America is still the greatest country on earth. I know in my heart that it can and will remain that way – but it will take effort and it won't be easy. But nothing worthwhile is ever easy. Please join me in this fight. Working together, we can leave a wonderful legacy to our children – a free America.

Help get this country back on track by getting CONSERVATIVE candidates elected to congress. Make a secure online contribution of $50, $100, $250, or $1,000 today!

God Bless you and Happy New Year!!!
