My take on Catholic Knight on Huckabee & prefering AIP

quote from my comment below:  building a new barn when you can clean out and shore up the existing one makes more reality as the GOP barn is very large and can be salvaged.

THE CATHOLIC KNIGHT: The purpose of this blog entry is to explain my personal preference for America's Independent Party over the Democratic Party, Republican Party and Constitution Party.

As some of my regular readers may be aware, 'The Catholic Knight' has experienced the same frustration as many Americans with the status quo (Democrat - Republican) two-party system. As a practicing Roman Catholic, and a believer in the Social Justice principle of Subsidiarity, there is just no way I could ever participate in, or endorse, the ideology of the modern Democratic Party. Likewise, I am no longer able to endorse the Republican Party for similar reasons, seeing as how the Republicans failed to pass critical legislation against abortion when they could have, and at virtually every turn failed to adequately oppose the liberal modernist agenda of the Democrats. The Republican establishment's treatment of Alan Keyes and Mike Huckabee in the 2008 presidential election was the final straw for 'The Catholic Knight.' I could no longer support a party that was clearly more interested in protecting it's own establishment than doing what was right for America....

Catholic Knight,

You have expressed my backburner thoughts.  It is my intention that if the grassroots movement now in full flame within the GOP does not succeed in changing the leadership from the corrupt insider elitist of DC (shadow), I will be headed for the Constitution Party myself.

However, building a new barn when you can clean out and shore up the existing one makes more reality as the GOP barn is very large and can be salvaged.

Gov. Huckabee and Allen Keys were abused.  Both kept to the quest.  Gov. Huckabee has stuck it out and his network of supporters continues to grow.  He will be hitting the ground with a full complement of supporters Nation wide this time.  Also the coalescing of the Social Conservative Leaders after the election saying that Gov. Huckabee was the one, will lend to the up coming primary in 2011.  Let's give Hope another chance.
