The American Heritage and the Bible
The declaration of Independence, the Bill of Rights and the U.S. Constitution all reflect the religious beliefs as well as the moral stance of the founding Fathers.
These early documents heralded "one nation under God." It is this concept which has defined the very tapestry of the United States. It is this reality which has helped the nation achieve unity and strength.
For 200 years this country has been blessed with leaders who filled the specific needs of their time with honor and wisdom. Each of them were guided by their unconditional love of God and their study of Scriptures. The remarkable expression of that faith is found in their documents of government, their public speeches and their private correspondence.

Of the many influences that have shaped the United States of America into a distinctive nation and people, none may be said to be more fundamental and enduring that the Bible. These shared beliefs helped forge a sense of common purpose among the widely dispersed colonies--a sense of community which laid the foundation for the spirit of nationhood that was to develop in later decades.
For centuries, the Bible's emphasis on compassion and love for our neighbor has inspired institutional and governmental expressions of benevolent outreach.
In recognition of the contributions and influence of the Bible on our Republic and our People, I encourage all citizens, each in his or her own way, to reexamine and rediscover its priceless and timeless message.

Folks, these words of our past leaders ring very true and if we do not heed to them, our future is not in Freedom and liberty.
There is not one action that is not determined by a moral attribute to some value or foundation. No, the Founding Fathers did not say you must be a Christian to be an American and that freedom is for you to worship as you wish, but yes our Nation is built upon the moral precepts of the Bible, formed by prayer over every word and tittle in the Constitution. The Republic for which we stand provides for the influence of the people by the election of those who hold true to their values.
To this end, in our present list of leaders in this Nation, Governor Huckabee stands as one of our Founding Fathers in Attitude and Character. His election will bring a historical marker in the Country's Hall of Time; Mike will be known as the Second Father of our Nation, second to George Washington! Pray it so!!!
