If you want empty rhetoric and business as usual, there are many Republicans to choose from. But I believe it's time we burn the corrupt Washington political machine to the ground and rebuild America before it's too late!

Some Republican presidential candidates want to abolish Medicare, slash Social Security and tell American seniors to "get over it" when it comes to cutting their benefits. They want to rob seniors of their benefits and give them a worthless healthcare voucher instead. Let me be clear: raising the retirement age and slashing Medicare benefits for seniors who have been working for decades is theft! We have enough muggers in the streets without the government becoming one!

The use of the Article five by the States to combat the tyranny of the Federal Government is why States have a system to bypass congress to change the Constitution.   Problem is in the process of such execution of a convention.

The fear of a runaway convention is very real.  It is also not necessary to fear if the process of calling for convention is done correctly  Mr. Harris who is the founder of the article five convention summit speaks to it:

If the States legislate a call for convention with limitations on their delegate(s), should  the convention goes rogue, the delegates are immediately recalled.  In Michigan, the language of the calling Bill states that Governor Snyder has complete power over the delegate.  That is a recipe for disaster and must be resolved before any step forward.

The Convention of States initiative is sponsored by Citizens for Self Governance. Additionally, you will be paying for the lobbying efforts of groups that have extremely questionable motives, funding, and allies."
