FairTax is rocket fuel to Economy. Hear Gov Huckabee on Fox Business

May 09, 2014

Why have we lost so many jobs overseas over the past 30 years? #FairTax #sgp #tcot #migop #ocra #safie

FairTax is a tax neutral shift in structure from a mandatory tax on product to a voluntary tax on consumption. FairTax has nothing to do with how we spend, just on how we collect. Read this link completely and then ask yourself if it is wise to go from a closed border trade to open border trade and not change the closed border tax structure. Read this:

http://fairtaxblog.org/480/

“The U.S. Is Alone” And Why It Hurts

“The tax rate of 35 percent is impossible to provide an incentive to the large corporations, that have $1.7 trillion offshore, to put their money back in the United States.” – Frederick W. Smith
In March of 2011, Pfizer Pharmaceutical CEO Ian Read told The Wall Street Journal, “There should be a tax rate that allows us to compete… in the global marketplace.”
Later that year, H.R. 25, “The FairTax Act” co-author and economist Dan Mastromarco testified before the Joint Economic Committee that America’s corporations were paying “a national statutory marginal [tax] rate of 35 percent, which masks the fact that the return on capital is taxed repeatedly. These rates impose efficiency costs of as much as $728 billion.”
Mastromarco added, “The U.S. is alone in applying its punishing rates – the highest in the OECD and 50 percent higher than the average OECD rate of 23 percent — to domestic and foreign earnings alike.”
Congress failed to heed these and other warnings and as a result, a flood of companies has continued move their production and headquarters operations outside the United States.

Million American Jobs Project

Family & Friends,

This short video tells us how we can turn our economy around very easily.
This simple action can add one million jobs in the U.S almost immediately.
Passing the FairTax, which will reduce the cost of American produced goods and services by about 20% because it removes hidden taxes from our costs, will allow American business and labor compete with the rest of the world on a level playing field for the first time in generations.
Take a look at the FairTax at www.fairtax.org.

Ben Franklin~ Least intrusive tax is the consumption tax as it is voluntary

The reach of a consumption tax mathmatically figures out to be about 2% greater into the wealth of the nation. Please go to the following chart which is based on income you volunteer to use for consumption and how much it will cost you under FairTax and the prebate figured in.  Not that the current price of product is, with competition, able to drop 15% with Federal tax removed, paychecks will be near gross amount, and with a shortage of workers, employers will  have to bid for your services.

Re: A Supercommittee Tax-Hike Surrender Means Republicans Would Snatch Defeat from the Jaws of Victory

Mr. Miller and the Ways and Means Committee,

I agree with your idea Mr Miller, 'budgetary savings of a sequester', but with over 50% of America not contributing to Federal tax revenue, there is not enough time to cut enough to maintain our nation fiscally until we can change the Tax structure and begin to grow our way out, leading the world in Prosperity and new trade value known as the FairTax Plan being replicated world wide, balancing free trade.
Mr. Cain has provided a two step plan to take the shock out of the transparancy of the consumption tax.  But by removing the embedded IRS Code taxes from the price of domestic product, US Industry will gain a 15% advantage in trade with imports, by sharing the burden of Federal taxes equally, instead of the excise burden on our own products as is today, as well as under the offered flat tax by Perry and Romney.
The International fiscal plan for the USA is more of the same. Liberty comes from empowering we the people into prosperity, beyond measure.  To not stand up now for the FairTax plan is, well, need I say?
Thus, we need the taxation increase to get us thru the next few years, with the promise of growth in return. President Obama has of last, demanded tax on only income over one million dollars.  Provide this with the insistance of FairTax being implemented asap.

Sincerely,

R. George Dunn

The Shadow Agenda - Grinding America down. Only Constitutional conduct and Fairtax can save us now~

It is politically correct to not question where we are seemingly headed, but to accept the Government leadership as pristine. How many of the tin foil conspiracies have turned out true?  Too many. Is there an agenda in DC for the New World Order?

Did President Bush's first bailout come about to cover up the fact that the USA was the only Nation to not open their National Bank books to remain in the International Banking Community? Google, BASEL IV for this truth.

Has the agenda since that day been to fast track the NWO take over? What can stop this? Returning to constitutional conduct making the fifty State Sovereignty in all not enumerated to the federal government as their right to power, including values, and enacting the Fairtax to end the redistribution of United States Industry.

Hope is still alive, if we who are silent, stand up immediately.  This is that last election of a free people if we do not put the light on this Shadow Government and end it by returning to the Constitution and Sovereignty of 50 Nations in Union, not one with 50 provinces in obedience. Change the tax structure to take all the federal taxes hidden in domestic products and equally harm imports with domestic product with the federal taxation by enacting Fairtax. By doing the latter you lower the former % needed by 90%, but you will not afford the latter without the former funding the transition back to the Constitution with respect to those already invested in the current Federal Entitlements, which can be divested using the Ryan Plan method into privately owned, voluntary or State Mandated, HSA/IRAs to replace all federal entitlements. These HSA/IRAs can be locally invested too. It is a win win, as it honors all, including those yet to be born.

Constitutional conduct and Fairtax please~

FreedomWorks is organizing the Teaparty Patriots to support the deathly flattax. Stop them for the Fairtax

Walt Bagley ~
I went to a tea party event the other evening. There was a talk on the FairTax followed by a talk on the flat tax. Followed by a Q & A session. The flat tax was presented by the state director for Freedom Works. He said he thinks the FairTax is a great idea "BUT". He said you have to repeal the 16th amendment first but there has only been one amendment that was ever repealed. The process is too hard. We would not want to have both the FairTax and then have Congress introduce a new income tax during the seven year period we are trying to repeal the amendment. A flat tax would be easier to pass through Congress. He did say he was not promoting HR-1040 but did not have an actual bill for a flat tax.

My comment:
We have witnessed the Freedomworks Group leaders bury a polling done on what is the most important issue. Fairtax gained 90%<> support and the closest competitive plank was flattax at 7%. There has been an underlying fear of this group not being true to the Patriot cause. Now we have evidence .  The Flattax was used by President Reagan when he gave us freetrade to counter the effects of a closed border tax in an open border trade policy. We have witness the effect of leaving the same tax structure in place by streamlining it.  Congress has sold lobbyists over 1,200 amendments to the Reagan flattax. Now we have what appears to be an stealth RINO group attempting to stir us into the same destructive plan.
We have lost jobs steadily since free trade was implemented and we have seen our Nations deficit spending increase every year, even in what they claimed to be prosperous years.  We have been told service jobs will replace our lost industry, that high tech industry will sustain our growth fiscally. None of this was true.
The question must be asked, why would our smartest leaders in Washington act so dumb? What is their mission?  It certainly is not for the benefit of the American people, either party.  If you step back, you will see how both parties have danced us down this road of socialism until we are now on the brink of fiscal collapse. Ask yourself, why would DC not change when the GOP gain the two branches Under President Bush43. It upset the puppet master who found his strings suddenly all wound up. So what became the mission, pork pork pork.
Let us not let our new found wakeup teaparty Patriot mission be stirred into the ditch. Stand against this attempt to squish our path to liberty and freedom. With Fairtax, be sure to follow up with Constitutional conduct. Begin by reducing non entitlement spending 10% every year until it is cleaned up. Enact Fairtax to gain back our industry, Make a date certain with a 25 yr plan to transition all entitlements back to the States our the individual by recommending private HSA/IRAs locally invested.  This will end unconstitutional action by the Federal Government, reducing their taxation by over 90%, leaving we the people and our States the revenue needed to do what is the power entitled by the Constitution.
State legislatures need to be held accountable for their actions in nullifying the tyrannical coupe by the Federal Government. In them lies the immediate Power to get this done. The Article five of the Constitution holds the key to control over our Federal Government. The preached fears of a Constitutional Convention destroying the Constitution is false. Any resolution in that Convention must meet the approval of 38 State legislatures. That is a far less threat then the Coupe that is happening right before our eyes.  Remember the frog in a cold water filled frying pan, who did not see the change in temperature until he cooked to death. Our apathy has near destroyed us. Jump People, for our Liberty!!!

MI’s Depression: Are MI Tea Parties Missing-In-Action? MI FairTax Will Put Us 1st in the Nation!

From: Daar Fisher <daar.fisher@yahoo.com>
Sent: Thu, December 17, 2009 3:04:23 PM
Subject: [Michorg] MI's Depression: Are MI Tea Parties Missing-In-Action? MI FairTax Will Put Us 1st in the Nation!

We, the people of Michigan , are alarmed, and we have taken to the streets because of the loss of proper respect and service by those we've sent to Lansing (and Washington) to represent US! However, unless our Michigan Tea Parties can channel energy into a vehicle of concrete action, the past century has shown us that we'll continue to proceed down the path to less freedom, fewer liberties, less economic opportunity, more taxes, and larger government!

Michigan Tea Party participants have an opportunity to unite around the dismantling of our state's income tax system - and its income tax code, which is a key tool of political power and tyranny! Replacing the income tax with the Michigan FairTax is the vehicle of concrete action that will restore much of the power and accountability we've lost to those who, despite having been sworn to uphold the Constitution, have put we, the People, last.  More than two centuries ago, our fore-fathers took action in Boston Harbor alleging "taxation without representation."  Today, in Michigan , we must take action against "taxation with mis-representation." By "following the money," as action participants to enact the Michigan FairTax, we concerned citizens will demonstrate a modus certain to remove the primary locus of political power and abuse – income tax policy!

By wedding the Michigan FairTax plan with the energy of the rising patriot movement, we have an extraordinary "window of opportunity" to effect change – in the next few months!  Within our hands, we can reverse a situation in which we have become "working servant" to our politician "masters" who both set, and confiscate, the "first fruits" from our paychecks - every working hour (as seen on our paystub every two weeks).  They then require us to file income tax returns and divulge the totality of our personal financial information (violating our 5th Amendment right) in order that they can determine how much of our own money we can keep!  They have saddled us with a complicated tax code that they continually grow, and on account of which tax deficiencies become more frequent.  This provides them yet additional opportunity to tax us more via collection fees, interest and penalties.  Indeed, to ultimately enforce powers granted under the income tax code, they may help themselves to our substance by presentments of levies and liens, abrogating our 4th Amendment right to be secure in our "persons, houses, papers, and effects."

The Michigan FairTax is multi-dimensional in what it accomplishes.  From the perspective of freedom and liberty, it returns control of the family purse to the family.  Economically, it eliminates much mischief by politicians because it removes the income tax code, the gaming of which results in tax favors to the few at expense to the many. The non-uniform, selective nature of the tax code results in market distortions. If ignored by us, our state, and national, economy will fold in on itself as each so-called fix creates yet more distortions.

In terms of economic viability, the Michigan FairTax is more viable than the current income tax system.  It is simpler, and it is uniformly applied.  It bases taxation on consumption, rather than income.  Under a state FairTax regime, paying taxes will be less taxing (pun intended) on all of us, for a number of solid reasons:

  • A consumption basis, upon which to establish a tax rate, is less volatile than is income.  Thus, there will be less severe revenue swings by basing taxes on how much we consume, rather than how much we earn.

  • The Michigan FairTax (sales tax) rate of 9.75% would replace several current taxes: the current 6% sales tax; personal income tax, Personal Property tax (on equipment / furnishings) and the 6 mill state education tax, both levied on business; and the business income and payroll tax.

  • The tax is paid by consumers, when they purchase new goods and services, at retail – "at the cash register!"  Thus, no more income tax returns to file for the average Michigan wage-earning family.

  • In addition to the end of state tax-withholding from workers wages, all legal resident Michigan families would receive an advance monthly rebate (called a "prebate"), at the beginning of each month – an advance tax rebate to apply against taxable essentials in that month.

  • The prebate amount is based on family size.  For example, a Michigan family comprised of a single adult would receive $88 per month. This equals 9.75% of $903 in monthly spending (below which one is said to live "in poverty").  A single person could spend up to $10,830 a year and, by virtue of the prebate, have net tax expense of $ -0-.  Likewise, a family of four would receive a monthly prebate of $179 per month, and could spend $22,050 a year before any tax would start being paid. Thus, where the static rate is 9.75%, the effective rate will likely be far less for the typical Michigan-resident family (see p.2 of a brochure that you may reproduce, and distribute).

  • No "income tax code" necessary.  The prebate replaces "credits, deductions, exemptions, etc." with a simple advance rebate.  (The rich no longer have privileged options under the FairTax – every Michigan citizen is treated the same.)

Next, the Michigan FairTax goes a long way toward cleaning up a corruption-prone income tax system:

  • We expect that as many as half the lobbyists in Lansing will be forced to seek more productive employment, as the Michigan FairTax will do away with "special tax treatment" for the few, at expense to the many.

  • Politicians will no longer be able to tell constituents that they're "taxing business," while, in fact, consumers end up paying for business's compliance and other tax costs in the form of higher prices.

  • Without coercive power to administer a tax code, our politicians will no longer be able to pit "poor against rich" and employer against employee, because the more you spend, the greater will be your share of the tax burden.  But no one will even start paying until they exceed poverty-level spending.  Thereafter effective (post-prebate) tax rates on spending will begin to climb from -0- toward 9.75% at the highest spending levels. Wealth will no longer find shelter in tax attorneys, or off-shore accounts.

Business returns to Michigan under the FairTax:

  • With the elimination of the corporate income and payroll tax, businesses will find tax compliance infinitely less complicated and less expensive.

  • Michigan will become the focal point for both foreign and domestic business creation.

  • Capital will become more available, because earnings on capital will not be taxed.  More capital, means greater access to funds by business.

  • More businesses, create more jobs, which will keep a positive pressure on wages due to demand for workers to fill more positions.

  • As the economic pie grows, pressure will be downward on the MI FairTax rate to the extent that newly-empowered workers focus on the legislature's spending. That will be possible because politicians will no longer be able to utilize the "divide and conquer" strategy they currently use to pit social classes against each other, and worker against business – all while they continue to spend away!

  • Taxing consumption doesn't penalize a business for creating jobs.  Under the current income tax system, a business's employment tax liabilities increase with every job it creates.

FairTax restores freedom and liberty to those who produce the state's wealth!

  • No more compulsory filing of income tax returns on the government's time table.

  • No longer are average working persons required to be "unpaid accountants," having to keep receipts, and even pay for accounting services.

  • No more threats of audit, interest and penalties, etc.  Under FairTax, we just "pay it at the cash register."

  • By paying the tax at retail, we'll understand the true cost of our government.  Under the current corporate income and payroll tax system, we end up paying business's taxes in higher consumer prices.

  • No more April-15th MI income tax filings. We will pay the tax, when we decide to purchase something new, or pay for a service.

  • Government will no longer be able to lay claim to our wages, and take theirs first through paycheck withholding.  Under FairTax, the government benefits only as we and/or our families benefit by a new purchase. Under the current system, money withheld from paychecks is often compensated for by the use of expensive credit cards. Wealth-creation is easier under FairTax, because we have more control over how we spend and save our money, and how and when we pay the tax.

The Michigan FairTax realigns the power dynamics between us and those whom we elect to public office.  Under the Michigan FairTax, our politicians will once again work for us – and they will not have access into our personal financial matters.  Politicians will also more directly feel the result of legislation that impinges upon the productive sector, for its revenues will more directly bear on the productive health of the economy as measured in sales.

The only ones who will be unhappy with the Michigan FairTax are the politicians, lobbyists, and special interests who thrive off of taxpayer dollars to both effect the ends they seek, and finance their lobbyists who make it possible to do so.

Michigan Tea Parties will be wise if they put they place their first priority on restoring Liberty – and the economy – here in Michigan !  We can mobilize this effort in an extraordinary way – ONLY if we unite to get this job done. We've got the plan, and plenty of leadership positions are available. But, like the announcer says on TV commercials, you must ACT NOW!

  • Join Michigan FairTax – enter your email and location, so we can match your MI House and Senate Districts).

  • Spread the message – email calendar@mifairtax.org and reserve a date on our Events Calendar for a presentation in your community (it's up to you to make this happen!)

  • Fuel the message – join our "10 bucks a month" club; everyone doing a little can give us the visibility to reach millions across Michigan

As we work together to educate our fellow Michiganders, they'll awaken to realize how the income tax has eroded our freedoms, and how it has been a major contributor to our state's economic decline. The Michigan FairTax is the key prescription to restoring our dignity and freedom, while bringing companies, jobs, and families back to our truly beautiful state.  ( And, as capital returns to Michigan and we remove Lansing 's hands from our family purse, our Tea Parties will see financial increase to power our efforts, here, and across America ! )

Let's be a light to the nation by uniting, and executing well, here in Michigan !

Appreciatively,

Success in an International World

There is a war which is going on within America and the world. It has played out in many of the political skirmishes over recent election cycles. The question of American sovereignty as the world become more interconnected and "closer" together. If one listens to the Neo-Conservative response to this interconnectedness, it would seem that the more trade ties with other countries, the weaker we become. Protectionism is their gameplan. On the other hand, libertarians and progressives explain that without a wide open and subservient (to our partners) trade agenda, we will fall behind the world in the 21st century. I believe that using either of these approaches will be disastrous for our nation...
...Now that I have outlined different paths ideologues wish for us to take, I would like to take a little time to outline a more practical and advantageous approach. First, we should keep in mind that capitalism is a redistribution of wealth that compensates those with goods and services that are sought after and roots out those who are not providing wanted goods and services. Therefore, I am not afraid of trade unions. Nations can join those unions, but the rules of the union should be equivocal for all members, not penalizing richer members at the expense of poorer ones. If the poorer nations offer the goods and services, they will be enriched. The fair compensation of workers should be indexed to the standard of life/cost of living index rather than a one size fits all approach.

Next, the US should embrace international free trade. What we need to do is completely revamp the tax code. I recommend the FairTax. Brazil is looking into the FairTax and we should be afraid. I will have a blog explaining this interesting tax reform idea in detail. What it is in the most basic form is the repealing of Income, Corporate, Payroll, Medicaid, Medicare, and Capital Gains taxes and rolling it into one 23% consumption tax. While 23% seems high, keep in mind that we as consumers pay all of these taxes at the checkout counter already. Economists have calculated that the final price for goods are inflated 22% because companies have to add the taxes down the line anyways. Every time corporations and smaller businesses are further taxed, all they do is roll the cost down to the consumer. Add that 22% embedded tax plus the income taxes, payroll taxes, Medicare, Medicaid taxes and you see that you are being bled. Due to our wild tax system that NO ONE understands not even the IRS itself, corporations move their operations out of the U.S. It isn't as much to do with cheaper labor but our laborious tax structure. We have the second highest corporate tax rate. We have high personal income taxes. We have a 6.5% payroll tax which is matched by the employer which must be paid to the Federal government, that's a 13% tax. As you can see, the tax structure is a burden on rich, poor, and average American people and corporations. With a simple one time 23% consumption tax, which would stimulate investing since that would never be taxed (Capital Gains) until you went to buy something. This is a simple overview, but keep this in mind, 50 corporate leaders were asked if the U.S. Adopted the FairTax, would they move their corporate offices to the U.S.? Their answer? 48 of the 50 said they would absolutely move to the U.S. The other two? They said they would "strongly consider" it. The FairTax was not created by politicians. It was created by economists who wished to create a powerful taxing machine that would lower the tax burden on ALL people, and end the political earmarking done in the current code.

With companies moving back to the U.S. And new businesses moving in, America could be a powerhouse in trade again. We also need to promote solar, wind, water, and other alternative fuels NOT with federal subsidies, but instead staying out of the way. Government regulations need to loosen for new industries. By adding regulations we discourage or downright trample on small entrepreneurs who wish to enter the industry. Heavy taxation and high costs to comply with federal and state regulations not only hurt small entrepreneurs, but is welcomed by bigger businesses who understand that these impediments ensure that only large ventures could even hope to enter the industry, i.e. less competition.

In conclusion, I argue that we should not only embrace a world stage to sell goods, but also become a major player who competes directly with all other nations. With a FairTax, return to strong free market principles, and even including trade unions which help to engender good will with our neighbors without exploiting ourselves to their benefit are the steps we should take to build a positive flow of capital from around the world to America, create jobs in America, strengthen our current businesses, and promote small business development.

We can be American in an international world. In fact, giving up our values would hinder our progress. America became a great power through trade. We believed in free trade. Let's not lose those principles. We should embrace them and revitalize our economy and put it on a solid footing.

Not complaining mind you, but giving a business a tax credit,is that fair to the rest of Michigan business?  Will that keep them from hiring or moving out of State?

Put this State back to work.  Give us the Michigan FairTax plan, a consumption tax which will lower the cost of doing business in Michigan, making Michigan manufacturing Product competitive.

Mike Huckabee - and ardent supporter of the national FairTax Act (http://snipr.com/asmanhuckfairtax) was in Grand Rapids, last month, and our Michigan FairTax leaders had a chance to make some introductions and have Mike say a few words about the Michigan FairTax:

In addition to making Michigan, essentially, a "tax-free zone" for business (thus, the No. 1 destination in the country for businesses to locate), enacting the Michigan FairTax will serve to:
  • Return ownership of the family purse, to the family.
  • End wage withholding from paychecks (Lansing now "takes theirs first," forcing individuals to file income tax returns under threat of audit, interest and penalties; every earner is a prospective walking "tax deficiency"!)
  • Pay for gov't in the process of blessing our families with a new purchase ("new, at retail" - not "used").
  • Reduce points of collection 90% (no non-business-owning wage-earner should ever have interact with a state tax agent)
  • Scrap the income tax code (with no Code to game, half the lobbyists in Lansing go away)
  • End the power to manipulate the behavior of individuals and business (utilizing income tax code "carrots" benefitting the few at cost to the many)
  • Make our true tax load transparent (end business income & payroll taxes, the costs of which are hidden in higher prices to us!)
  • Stop the "divide and distract" power that comes with tax favor-making (FairTax unites us to redirect focus on gov't spending)
Additionally, passage will constitutionally-assure uniform revenue-sharing to local units of government, assisting their efforts to be fiscally responsible.

Help us get the message out about the Michigan FairTax.  Send an email to calendar@mifairtax.org - and give us a date that you'd like to host an Introductory Presentation (we'll follow up with you to pin down particulars).  Join our "10 bucks a month" club.  Take action - it will happen only if we act!

If we intend on "taking our country back," let's start with our state . . . by virtue of first, taking back our paychecks (and ending gov'ts claim to our personal - and our businesses' - income)!

Huck PAC Newsletter

If you had a chance to stop President Obama' and the liberal Democrats in Congress' rapid expansion of the federal government would you want to help?   If you could stop the raid on our children and grandchildren's future by these spend and tax Democrats, would you get involved?

Would you take that extraordinary step and serve as a volunteer in the organization dedicated to electing conservative Republicans nationwide? It might mean an hour or two a month of your time, or a few phone calls to voters in states where our help might make a difference. Is the threat of two more years of Obama's policies without the firewall of a stronger Republican Congress enough for you to volunteer some of your time?

I hope so. In fact I am counting on it. That is why I am sending YOU this email today.

In Michigan we have started a grassroots organization that is growing daily. In fact, 157 Michiganders have already signed up and are organizing into teams across the state. They have held events, online meetings and are laying the foundation for a statewide effort to support strong conservatives in the fall.

I hope you will be a part of it.

To learn more about Team Huck Michigan visit their online headquarters here.

To follow Team Huck Michigan on Twitter head here.

And finally, to become a fan of Team Huck Michigan on Facebook please sign up here.

Too much is at stake next fall for conservatives to sit on the sidelines. Please join our Michigan team today.

With gratitude,

Mike Huckabee

R. George Dunn's Counter to the Romney 10 point plan letter to Pres. Obama

Governor Romney has presented a ten point plan to cure our fiscal mess.  Here is my response to this article here in USA Today:

*
my comment:

Gov. Romney,  You are echoing the last recovery plan that did not sustain us.  Certainly War is very expensive, but so is what you are failing to consider.

When President Reagan gave us Free Trade, we had in place a closed system production tax set up by convenience.  Now, domestic manufacturing is handicapped with at least 22% federal tax expense built into the cost of product, while imports evade out Federal taxation.  If we would but adopt the Brilliantly planned FairTax our problem will be how much to cut taxes because of all the jobs it would create, expanding spending through the roof.

You also have made suggestions that do not pass  Constitutional Conduct.  States are quite able to expand infra-structure  when we can afford it.  It is time to reign in this Big Government monster that is indebting our children's children.  Who is going to pay the piper when the piper stops playing?  Chili reminds one of the word hyper.

What is the difference between a Conservative Nationalist and a Conservative Federalist?  What is a moderate, a Nationalist or a Federalist? Maybe it is time to find out.  The far right is large and this left is small.  Wake up Shadow or get out of town.

Government made jobs are not sustainable.  Get the Federal Government out of States' business and let us prosper by changing the tax structure.  WE have 23 days till the first of the year.  Greatness comes from greatness done.

George Dunn
