Here is a video on Agenda 21
--
If everyone knew all there is to know, they would not do half the things they do, including myself, therefore I must foregive them, including myself.
"Truth shall set you FREE" ~Jesus
We, the people of Michigan , are alarmed, and we have taken to the streets because of the loss of proper respect and service by those we've sent to Lansing (and Washington) to represent US! However, unless our Michigan Tea Parties can channel energy into a vehicle of concrete action, the past century has shown us that we'll continue to proceed down the path to less freedom, fewer liberties, less economic opportunity, more taxes, and larger government!
Michigan Tea Party participants have an opportunity to unite around the dismantling of our state's income tax system - and its income tax code, which is a key tool of political power and tyranny! Replacing the income tax with the Michigan FairTax is the vehicle of concrete action that will restore much of the power and accountability we've lost to those who, despite having been sworn to uphold the Constitution, have put we, the People, last. More than two centuries ago, our fore-fathers took action in Boston Harbor alleging "taxation without representation." Today, in Michigan , we must take action against "taxation with mis-representation." By "following the money," as action participants to enact the Michigan FairTax, we concerned citizens will demonstrate a modus certain to remove the primary locus of political power and abuse – income tax policy!
By wedding the Michigan FairTax plan with the energy of the rising patriot movement, we have an extraordinary "window of opportunity" to effect change – in the next few months! Within our hands, we can reverse a situation in which we have become "working servant" to our politician "masters" who both set, and confiscate, the "first fruits" from our paychecks - every working hour (as seen on our paystub every two weeks). They then require us to file income tax returns and divulge the totality of our personal financial information (violating our 5th Amendment right) in order that they can determine how much of our own money we can keep! They have saddled us with a complicated tax code that they continually grow, and on account of which tax deficiencies become more frequent. This provides them yet additional opportunity to tax us more via collection fees, interest and penalties. Indeed, to ultimately enforce powers granted under the income tax code, they may help themselves to our substance by presentments of levies and liens, abrogating our 4th Amendment right to be secure in our "persons, houses, papers, and effects."
The Michigan FairTax is multi-dimensional in what it accomplishes. From the perspective of freedom and liberty, it returns control of the family purse to the family. Economically, it eliminates much mischief by politicians because it removes the income tax code, the gaming of which results in tax favors to the few at expense to the many. The non-uniform, selective nature of the tax code results in market distortions. If ignored by us, our state, and national, economy will fold in on itself as each so-called fix creates yet more distortions.
In terms of economic viability, the Michigan FairTax is more viable than the current income tax system. It is simpler, and it is uniformly applied. It bases taxation on consumption, rather than income. Under a state FairTax regime, paying taxes will be less taxing (pun intended) on all of us, for a number of solid reasons:
Next, the Michigan FairTax goes a long way toward cleaning up a corruption-prone income tax system:
Business returns to Michigan under the FairTax:
FairTax restores freedom and liberty to those who produce the state's wealth!
The Michigan FairTax realigns the power dynamics between us and those whom we elect to public office. Under the Michigan FairTax, our politicians will once again work for us – and they will not have access into our personal financial matters. Politicians will also more directly feel the result of legislation that impinges upon the productive sector, for its revenues will more directly bear on the productive health of the economy as measured in sales.
The only ones who will be unhappy with the Michigan FairTax are the politicians, lobbyists, and special interests who thrive off of taxpayer dollars to both effect the ends they seek, and finance their lobbyists who make it possible to do so.
Michigan Tea Parties will be wise if they put they place their first priority on restoring Liberty – and the economy – here in Michigan ! We can mobilize this effort in an extraordinary way – ONLY if we unite to get this job done. We've got the plan, and plenty of leadership positions are available. But, like the announcer says on TV commercials, you must ACT NOW!
As we work together to educate our fellow Michiganders, they'll awaken to realize how the income tax has eroded our freedoms, and how it has been a major contributor to our state's economic decline. The Michigan FairTax is the key prescription to restoring our dignity and freedom, while bringing companies, jobs, and families back to our truly beautiful state. ( And, as capital returns to Michigan and we remove Lansing 's hands from our family purse, our Tea Parties will see financial increase to power our efforts, here, and across America ! )
Let's be a light to the nation by uniting, and executing well, here in Michigan !
December 14 2009
The Honorable Kay Bailey Hutchison
United States Senate
Washington, DC 20510
Dear Senator Hutchison,
Like you, I am a native Texan from pioneer stock. This otherwise open letter is addressed to you because you are my senior senator, you are running for governor, and I liked you when we met while boarding the AAL flight which took us to Washington after your election sixteen years ago. I might add that those I know who know you personally speak well of you. I am writing to you because of my deep concern for the constitutional government, economy and culture of America, and because you have one of the one hundred most powerful elected voices in a nation of over three hundred million. I am concerned because, like you, I was raised when history, critical thinking, English, math, science, and the founding documents were still taught in public schools, and universities had not been taken over by Marxists. I am concerned when the dumbing down of schools and the planned cutting of life extension Medicare to the last well educated generations is apparently deliberate. I am concerned that the Federal Reserve has "loaned" two trillion dollars to some entity and told congress it is none of their business. Where is your voice in this criminal outrage? Are you a co sponsor on the bill to audit the Fed? If not, why not? I am concerned that eco fanatics have arbitrarily and insanely declared cattle as major polluters, and identified hundreds of trumped up "endangered species". This is a classic totalitarian platform by which a bureaucrat could one day walk onto our Texas Heritage Ranch and put us out of business. I am concerned when the Obama administration describes conservative patriotic Americans as potential terrorists, while refusing to close the borders or acknowledge the real terrorists. Those who disagree with him he called "teabag extremists", and then he spent millions to bring in HAMAS refugees from Israel with full taxpayer support and welfare. Where is your voice in all of this? I am concerned that almost every time president Obama, senate leader Reid, or house speaker Pelosi speak, they either lie or distort the truth. I am concerned when the CEO of GE, the second largest company in the world, is a close financial advisor to the president, who in turn gives billions of taxpayer dollars to GE and receives around the clock promotional propaganda from GE owned NBC. This will not change under Comcast. Political/business arrangements like this were once associated with "fascism" in Italy. In Germany it was called "national socialism" (nazi). Besides "business as usual" what is it called today in Washington? Where is your voice? I am concerned when you express a fondness and affection for Washington D.C.. I can tell you with confidence that growing millions of citizens increasingly regard Washington as a fountainhead of corruption, lies, bribes, and moral cowardice.
Our President, Barack Obama, said that he should be judged by the people surrounding him. Well, the evidence is in. He has appointed and is surrounded by self proclaimed socialists, Marxists, communists, and Maoists. (My apologies to any proud self proclaimed Trotskyites I may be unaware of). These people are not liberals, and even the term "progressives" is a cover up for what amounts to a Marxist takeover of the government. As further evidence, these people are doing what you would expect from a Marxist coup. They are methodically dismantling our economy and speaking and acting like dictators while appointing unconstitutional czars, bypassing congress, and totally ignoring the constitution. They are obviously on a deliberate course to destroy the nation before the next election. Senate Republicans aid and abet this process by debating individual points on the so called Health Care Reform bill which for starters is unconstitutional, illegal, and criminal. It will destroy health care, (except for you elite who have exempted yourselves), tax us into oblivion, and violate about 5 of the first 10 amendments in the Bill of Rights. Ask any constitutional lawyer. But then you and Sen. Cornyn are lawyers. The majority of Americans know about this bill. They do not want it amended; they want it killed. Where is your voice? In your Texas campaign for Governor, you say that you are a conservative fighting liberals in Washington and you will do everything you can to prevent government takeover of health care. Not to put too fine a point on it, but if you really think you are opposing liberals rather than Marxists and statists, you may be going to a gunfight with a stick. In spite of the fact that you and Sen. Cornyn have voted against the constitution and the will of your constituents in the past (TARP and Hate Crimes) it is not too late to stand up for the constitution . As a veteran and a Texan I would love to cheer you on in a successful drive to save America and Texas.
One of the reasons the Texas Farm Bureau AGFUND has endorsed you for governor is because Rick Perry sneaked off to a Bilderberg meeting of foreign internationalists, came home and spent the next couple of years trying to pave the way to confiscate Texas farms and ranches in order to build the NAFTA Highway. Furthermore, Spain would benefit by controlling this economy ruining, sovereignty ending monster. I am convinced that if you run on a platform to stop the NAFTA highway and the collaboration with foreign entities under any of the stealth names, and if you pledge to keep taxes low, AND if you commit to producing Article 10 resolutions for Texas which put the federal government on notice that we will not acknowledge or accept any blatantly unconstitutional "laws" coming out of Washington, then you WILL be the next Texas Governor. You might also include your intent to put an honest curriculum back in the public schools, not just an improved math program. If you cannot do these things, we will have Governor Perry for another four years.
On the other hand, Senator Hutchison, I believe you could possibly become the first female U.S. President, because there ARE things you could do which might save the nation. Too often, our candidates run in Texas as conservatives, then go to Washington and operate as loyal national republicans. After betraying the people's trust by performing like liberal democrats for the past few years, our republicans then put up John (campaign finance reform/amnesty) McCain as the candidate, resulting in a Marxist democrat takeover with a SUPER majority. Why don't you lead the way? Rally other "conservatives." ( Dick Cheney says you are a true conservative). Stop dignifying the fascist takeover instrument called "Health Care Reform" and call it what it is. Demand an end to this unconstitutional travesty. KILL IT. You have the majority of the American people and the LAW on your side. Go public with whatever constitutional conservatives you have. If you need more leverage than just speaking the truth, then remind the administration that the president's eligibility for office was never vetted. He has not even demonstrated that he is an American citizen, much less a natural born one. This is absolutely the fault of The Republican Party. Why has he spent $1.5 million to keep his birth certificate secret? Tell Obama the republicans are prepared to stand on the capitol steps and wave their birth certificates. Invite him to your "birthday" party and tell him to either go public or resign. DO YOU GUYS REALLY THINK YOU HAVE NO LEVERAGE? You may recall that Sen. Tom Coburn of Oklahoma, a freshman senator, asked about vetting Obama for eligibility at the appropriate time. Vice president Cheney took no action. Where was your voice? I also read that Mr. Cheney said the reason why we are in Iraq and Afghanistan is oil. He has endorsed you for governor, so I am sure you can check these statements for accuracy. On the subject of oil: It is now no secret that America is sitting on the greatest oil reserves in the world. Just recently there were multiple articles about the vast Midwest shale oil reserves which we have the technology to tap. This alone makes us energy independent, and the Alaskan reserves at Prudhoe Bay make us the oil richest nation in history. Ask any oil executive who is not on the Washington payroll. Meanwhile we live on the edge by playing like we are dependent on arabs for oil. So, people lie on TV daily about the need for GE to build inefficient taxpayer funded windmills because America is out of oil. (Oh, so that's the connection). This brings us back to the Obama Agenda. In addition to the Health Bill, and Amnesty, there is Cap and Trade. Any of these three will destroy America as we know it. The latter has now been fully exposed as an international plan, based on fraudulent climate premises, to tax America into third world status leading to a loss of sovereignty . Ironically, Senator Hutchison, you and I are old enough to remember that the term "conspiracy theorist" was coined to label those who first said there was an international plan to form a one world economy and government at the expense of national sovereignty and our constitutional government. However premature, this is a stated goal of those behind the Copenhagen conference, and last year British Prime Minister Brown made an address at Harvard in which he stated that world government is mandatory and independent sovereign nation states must go. 'Wonder why that did not get more publicity. Maybe if he had been arrested by a local policeman…. Just recently on CNBC an expert was asked for his prognosis on the weakening dollar. His reply was that the dollar would weaken and fail, leading to a world financial collapse, a one world economy, one world government, and a new world order. Since I only read about this exchange, I do not know if the CNBC interviewer called him a "conspiracy theorist".
Senator, if you could lead conservatives to kill the Health Bill, kill Cap and Trade, and stop Amnesty, you will have saved America for the time being. These are not just bad bills. They will bring an end to a free and prosperous America, which is exactly what is intended, and they are TOTALLY illegal. Furthermore, a MAJORITY of viable Americans know this, and the numbers are growing; hence the rush to FORCE this upon us. We have fought wars and lost hundreds of thousands of young combatants for LESS than this. This is the most dangerous thing and the most dangerous time in this nation's history, and you are on the cutting edge. I would love to have your opportunity, but I do not envy you. I cannot claim to understand the depth of poisonous treachery and corruption that surrounds you in power mad Washington. On the other hand, I suspect that you are just insulated enough that you are unaware of the degree to which fear and righteous indignation are fueling an intense and seething anger among taxpaying workers and the jobless toward government. The anger grows as they watch their lives and their futures being destroyed by despicable, lying, elitist , corrupt and condescending politicians in Washington, who are assisted by a prostituted media . By numbers and intensity, this is growing like a Texas thunderhead. This is why I am certain that In spite of the democrat majority, if enough republicans join and publicly expose this agenda and rebel against these outrageous bills, the democrats will not be able to pull this off. Time is on your side if you STALL. Next year democrats will begin defecting in spite of the promise of taxpayer money and ACORN election rigging. ALL of you swore an oath to uphold the constitution, and NOTHING of significance being proposed by this administration is constitutional. You share the liability. Kill these bills and fulfill your sworn oath of office. Fail, and you will see the destruction of America happen on your watch. That will be your legacy. You can always come home, and to the extent your wealth and connections will allow, struggle with the rest of us under the chaos being wrought by corrupt Washington politicians. You have a rare opportunity to become a heroine or to go with the flow and fail both America and Texas .
Sincerely,
William Ferrill

CC Sen. John Cornyn
Fellow Common Sense Citizens:
In case you haven't heard yet, a new "comprehensive" immigration bill has been introduced in the United States House of Representatives. The bill is backed by a coalition of progressive caucuses. A roundup of news sources on the new immigration bill is included below.
Via the Wall Street Journal:
"The legislation is set to be introduced by Rep. Luis Gutierrez (D., Ill.), the chairman of the House Immigration Caucus. The effort has the backing of two key groups within the House Democratic membership - the Hispanic and liberal-leaning Progressive caucuses.
It would offer a path to legal residence for people currently living illegally in the U.S., and would create a new panel within the Department of Homeland Security to make recommendations about future inflows of immigrants, according to an aide to a member of the Progressive Caucus familiar with the legislation.
Illegal residents in the U.S. with no criminal records would be able to pay a fine, start to pay taxes, take English and civic classes, and after six years be able to apply for a green card.
It was unclear how large the fine would be, and whether the immigrants would be required to pay unpaid back taxes."
http://online.wsj.com/article/BT-CO-20091214-714788.html
Via the Washington Times:
"Democrats on Tuesday begin their new push for an immigration bill, hamstrung by the image of legalizing millions of illegal immigrant workers at a time when the unemployment rate stands at 10 percent -- more than twice what it was the last time Congress tried to act...
A draft overview of the bill, circulated with the letter, ends some enforcement tools such as the 287(g) local police cooperation program, calls for an electronic verification system to replace the voluntary E-verify program, argues that there's no need for more U.S. Border Patrol agents or fencing, and establishes a long-term path to citizenship for illegal immigrants."
A Press Release from the SEIU:
"Until Congress passes comprehensive reforms, workers will continue to be pitted against each other--denied the opportunity to unite their strength and demand the labor and civil rights protections we need to lift our economy and raise living standards for everyone. This is unacceptable."

One does not have to be a prophet to know that we are on the precipice of
some potentially catastrophic--or at the very least, challenging--days. In
fact, most of us are already in challenging days, and some are already
enduring catastrophic events. That is, if one would call being out of work,
losing one's home, facing life-threatening medical conditions without any
prospect of medical insurance, several families being forced to live in one
house due to homes being foreclosed, etc., catastrophic.
The potential for an escalation of cataclysmic events, however, is very
real. Only a "blooming idiot" would call someone who attempts to prepare for
"the day of adversity" a Chicken Little now. Anyone who does not see the
storm clouds on the horizon isn't paying attention.
For example, can one imagine what would happen if terrorists nuked a major
American city or cities? (Once again, I encourage readers to go get the
videos of the CBS TV series "Jericho" to get an idea of how quickly life,
and even civilization, could change.) Imagine if there was another 9/11-type
event. What would happen if some form of Zimbabwe-style inflation hit the
US? What would happen if anything disrupted the distribution of Welfare
checks, or food to local grocers? Imagine a Hurricane Katrina-style natural
disaster in your town. I think people everywhere are beginning to awaken to
just how vulnerable we all really are.
As a result, people from virtually every walk of life have recently been
asking my thoughts on how they should prepare. Therefore, I will attempt to
share with my readers some of the counsel I have given these folks.
First, a disclaimer. I am not an economist; I am not a survival expert; I am
not a firearms expert; I am not an attorney; I am not a physician. In fact,
I am not an expert in anything! For several years, however, I have tried to
learn from others. I am an avid reader. My work has allowed me to travel
extensively. I have had the privilege of sitting at the feet of--and
learning from--many of America's most learned, most trained, and most
qualified "experts" in a variety of fields. What I write today, I have
learned from others. I've formed my own opinions and priorities, of course,
but everything I'm sharing has been said, or written about, before. But if I
can share something in today's column that will help someone be better
prepared for the days to come, then my goal will have been achieved.
Location:
First, analyze your living conditions. Where do you live? Do you live in an
urban or rural environment? Is it a big city or small town? Do you live in
an apartment or condominium? How close are your neighbors? Do you even know
your neighbors? Would you trust them if the electricity was off and they
were hungry? Could you grow your own food, if you had to? How easily could
you secure your home? If you live in a cold weather environment, how long
could you stay warm without electricity? These are the kinds of questions
you need to ask yourself now.
Over the past several decades, masses of people have migrated into large
metropolitan areas. More people live in urban areas than at any time in
American history. While this may be well and good for times of prosperity,
it is an absolute nightmare in any kind of disaster. Does anyone remember
what New Orleans looked like after Hurricane Katrina came through? Can
anyone recall what happened in downtown Los Angeles during the 1992 riots?
Needless to say, any inner-city environment could become a powder keg almost
instantaneously, given the right (or wrong) circumstances. And the bigger
the city, the bigger the potential problems.
If you live in the inner city, I suggest you consider moving to a more rural
location. Obviously, now is a very good time to buy property (especially
rural property), but the downside is, selling property is not as favorable.
If you can afford it, now is a great time to buy a "safe house" outside the
city. If you are fortunate enough to have family or some true friends
nearby, you might want to put your heads--and some resources--together in
preparation for serious upheaval. Obviously, a team of prepared people is
much better than being alone.
If you must stay in your urban location, have some commonsense plans in hand
in the event of a major disaster. Get to know your neighbors: find out whom
you can trust and whom you can't. Keep some extra gasoline on hand, in case
you need to get in your car quickly and leave. Have several exit routes
planned ahead of time, in case roads are blocked. Have a "bug-out" bag
containing essential ingredients to live on for 3 or 4 days. If leaving is
not an option, have a plan to secure your home as best you can. You'll need
to think about things such as food, water, medicine, warmth, self-defense,
etc. But at this point, to do nothing is absolute lunacy!
Provisions:
During a major disaster, food will quickly disappear. Living for over 3
decades on the Gulf Coast, I can tell you with absolute certainty that
whenever disaster strikes (usually an approaching hurricane, for us), food
and provisions at the store sell completely out in a matter of a few hours.
People panic, and within hours, you cannot find food, bottled water, ice,
generators, batteries, candles, etc. In a matter of hours, every gas station
in the area will be completely out of gas. Not days. Hours!
Furthermore, almost all disasters include a complete loss of electricity.
The water supply is compromised. Bottled water becomes more valuable than
bank accounts. Dehydration becomes a very real and present danger. I
remember witnessing a man offer an ice vendor $100 for an extra bag of ice
during Hurricane Ivan. My wife and I went 2 weeks (14 days) without
electricity in the aftermath of that hurricane. Believe me, I got a taste of
just how precious bottled water, ice, batteries, generators, fuel, etc., can
become.
I suggest you have a supply of food and water to last at least 2 weeks. A
month would be even better. Personally, I can live a long time on tuna fish
or peanut butter. You can purchase MREs from a variety of sources, as well
as "camp-style" packaged food from stores such as Academy Sports & Outdoors.
Of course, bottled water is available everywhere during normal times. Stock
up! Plus, I suggest you have some water purification tablets or a Katadyn
water filter on hand. And, if you are able, prepare to grow your own food.
Canning food is another very helpful hedge against deprivation. If your
parents were like mine, this was standard operating procedure.
Get a generator. Keep a supply of fuel on hand. Stay stocked up on
batteries, candles, portable lights, first aid supplies, and personal
hygiene items--especially toilet paper. Trust me, during times of intense
and prolonged disaster, toilet paper could become more valuable than money.
I also suggest you never run out of lighters or matches. You never know when
you'll need to build a fire, and during a prolonged survival situation, fire
could save your life. If you live in a cold weather climate, you probably
already have some sort of wood stove or fireplace.
Obviously, you need to take stock of your clothing. Do you have clothes
suitable for extended outdoor activity? What about boots? During a disaster,
you would trade your best suit from Neiman Marcus for a good pair of boots.
Do you have gloves? Insulated underwear? What about camouflage clothing?
These could become essential outerwear in the right conditions. Plus, any
"bug-out" bag will need to include spare clothing.
And one more suggestion, while we're on this subject: the best resources in
the world are of little use if one is physically incapable of making good
use of them. In other words, GET IN SHAPE. During any kind of emergency
situation, physical exertion and stamina become immensely important.
Commodities:
I suggest you have at least some cash on hand. Just about any and all
disasters will result in banks being closed for extended periods of time.
That also means credit card purchases being suspended. You need to have
enough cash to be able to purchase essential goods (if they are even
available) for an undetermined amount of time.
Of course, some survival gurus insist that during any cataclysmic climate,
precious metals will become the only reliable currency. But when most of us
are trying to feed our families and pay our bills, it is difficult to get
excited about buying gold and silver. Obviously, I would never recommend
that anyone jeopardize the present on the altar of the future. My parents
made it through the Great Depression with canned goods and garden
vegetables; gold and silver were certainly not a priority with them. And
maybe it should not be with you, either?
In fact, in a disaster, what is considered a valuable commodity can change
rather quickly, as the barter system takes a life of its own. What is
valuable is determined by what you need and how badly you need it. In a
prolonged disaster, simple things such as toilet paper, canned goods,
ammunition, and clothing could become extremely valuable; while cars, video
games, televisions, etc., could be reduced to junk status. In antiquity,
wars were fought over things such as salt.
Speaking of cars, remember that during a prolonged "national emergency" that
might involve some sort of nuclear attack or widespread civil unrest, an
Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) might be employed; in which case, most every
late model vehicle would be completely inoperable. Accordingly, if one can
keep an older, pre-computer-age vehicle in good working order, he or she
might be driving the only non-government vehicle capable of going anywhere.
Self-Defense:
Needless to say, during any kind of disaster, your safety and protection
will be completely up to you. If you really think that the police are going
to be able to protect you during an upheaval, you are living in a
dreamworld.
In both the New Orleans and Los Angeles disasters, police protection was
non-existent. Lawless gangs quickly took control of the streets, and people
were left to either defend themselves or swiftly become the helpless prey of
violent marauders. In fact, in New Orleans, some of the policemen actually
abandoned their oaths to uphold the law and joined with the criminals,
turning their weapons upon the public.
Face it, folks: in any kind of disaster, you must be able to defend
yourself, or you and your family will be meat for these animals of society
that will quickly descend without mercy upon the unprepared, unsuspecting
souls around them. This requires that you be armed! It also requires that
you be skilled enough to be able to efficiently use your arms.
Therefore, I strongly suggest that you purchase firearms sufficient to keep
you and your family safe, and also that you practice sufficiently to know
how to proficiently use them.
Now, when it comes to a discussion of which firearms are preferable for
self-defense, the suggestions are as varied as the people who proffer them.
These are my suggestions:
I believe every man (along with his wife and children of adequate age)
should be proficient with the following weapons: a handgun in .38 caliber or
above, a .22 rifle, a center-fire hunting rifle, a semi-automatic battle
rifle, and a shotgun.
My personal preference for a self-defense handgun is either a .45 ACP 1911
(either Colt or Kimber) or a .40 S&W. In the .40 caliber, my favorite is a
Glock 23. In the 1911, I like the Commander size configuration. I also like
the Glock 30 and 36 in .45 caliber. My wife prefers to carry a Smith &
Wesson .38 caliber revolver in the snub-nose, J-frame configuration. But
this is primarily due to the reduced weight of these weapons for carry
purposes. If needed, she could make a good accounting of herself with a
Glock 19 in 9mm. If you are someone who has never owned and seldom fired a
handgun, I recommend you buy a Glock. They are as simple as revolvers to
operate, reliable, and almost indestructible. Plus, they provide increased
magazine capacity, and are safe. They are also very easy to disassemble and
clean.
For a .22 rifle, I really like the Ruger 10/22. For a hunting rifle, my
suggestion is either a .270 or .30-06 caliber bolt-action rifle. (If I had
to pick one, I'd pick the .30-06.) I prefer the Remington Model 700 BDL, but
there are several fine weapons in this configuration and caliber by numerous
manufacturers. For a battle rifle, I suggest an AR-15-style weapon in .223
caliber. Here I prefer a Bushmaster. (Please, I don't need to hear from all
you .308 lovers out there. I love the Springfield M1A, too.) For a shotgun,
I suggest a 12-gauge pump. Here I prefer a Winchester Model 1300, which is
not made anymore. So, you'll probably have to choose between Mossberg and
Remington.
Whatever you choose, practice with it to the point that you are able to use
it proficiently. And be sure you stock up on ammunition. A gun without ammo
is reduced to being either an expensive club or a cumbersome paperweight.
Spiritual Power:
I firmly believe that man is created to have fellowship with his
Creator-God. I really don't know how people can face the uncertain future
that we currently face without the spiritual knowledge, wisdom, comfort, and
power that is made available through Jesus Christ. I believe the maxim is
true: "Wise men still seek Him." I strongly suggest that you seek to possess
a personal relationship with God's only begotten Son.
That we are facing challenging days is a certainty. Exactly what that means
is yet to be determined. I trust that some of my suggestions will help you
be better prepared for what lies before us.

Do not let Liberty and Freedom slip away. It came to be by a heavy cost, and will not be retrievable in today's technology of warfare. Demand Constitutional Conduct NOW!
"A heavy or progressive or graduated income tax is necessary for the proper development of Communism." - Karl Marx
If you want a progressive tax, try the Fair Tax Plan, at a constitutional spending level, say 4% for defense.

----- Original Message -----From: Congressman Paul RyanSent: Thursday, March 12, 2009 5:46 PMSubject: Fiscal Responsibility Starts Now
Dear NRCC supporter, As the Ranking Republican on the Budget Committee, I am outraged by the wild and irresponsible spending under the current Democratic Congress.
On top of the $787 billion "stimulus package" passed by the Democrats this year, Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced just yesterday that we need to "keep the door open" to another stimulus package.
Another "stimulus package"?!
Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats won't stop spending until our country is completely bankrupt! She and her far-left allies continue to believe that big government and expanded spending can solve anything.
But, you and I know that big government and failed policies are not the answer. And today, I'm asking you to join me in holding Nancy Pelosi and her spend-thrift Democratic allies accountable.
The NRCC needs your immediate support today. Will you follow this link to make an immediate donation of $25, $50, $100, $250 or more to help us put a stop to the Democrats' wasteful spending?
Every dollar you give is put to work electing fiscally responsible candidates to the House of Representatives. The only way to stop the Democrats' unprecedented spending spree of your tax dollars is to elect a fiscally responsible Congressional majority in 2010 - and this is what the NRCC has set out to do.
Every Republican vote for fiscal responsibility counts in putting a stop to the pork-filled, inflated spending bills from the Democratic far-left. And your urgent contribution of $25 or more is needed to get our message of responsible spending to the American people.
With your support, we will be able to put a stop to the wasteful spending of your tax dollars and get our economy back on track.
Thank you for your generosity and steadfast support.
Sincerely,
Paul Ryan
Ranking Republican, Budget Committee
P.S. I'm asking you to stand with me today by calling for fiscal responsibility. The NRCC is dedicated to electing a fiscally responsible majority in 2010 to put a stop to the Democrats' spending spree. And you can help us reach our goal by making an immediate donation of $25, $50, $100, $250 or more to the NRCC. Your generous financial support will make all the difference in our ability to put a stop to the reckless spending from the Democrats. Thank you. -Paul
