Jim DeMint~Conservative Comeback in Indiana=Marlin Stutzman for US Senate

Dear Friend,

Something very important is happening right now in the state of Indiana that will impact you and your family for years to come. You can do something about it but there isn't much time.

A young, fourth-generation family farmer is running a come-from-behind campaign for the United States Senate.

The candidate's name is Marlin Stutzman. He's a husband, a father, a small businessman, and -- most importantly -- a constitutional conservative.

Marlin's got an uphill fight in the Republican primary against a former Senator and a former Congressman. But as we have seen with Marco Rubio in Florida, voters are looking for new Republicans who will fight for their values.

Marlin is running for the U.S. Senate because he knows we cannot change Washington unless we begin to change the people we send to Washington.

A recent Rasmussen Reports poll indicates that Marlin can win this race, but he cannot do it alone. The question I have for you today is this: Will you help him?

I know Marlin Stutzman is the kind of leader who won't let us down. After meeting him, I'm inspired by his genuine desire to save his country from the massive spending, bailouts, and debt that the Democrats and -- I'm sad to say -- some Republicans have forced upon us.

Marlin Stutzman is rock-solid on the issues.
  • He supports full repeal of President Obama's health care takeover;

  • He supports a Constitutional Amendment to force Congress to balance the budget without raising taxes;

  • He strongly opposes the earmarks, which have turned Congress into a massive favor factory for special interests; and

  • He is 100% pro-life and strongly supports our 2nd Amendment rights to keep-and-bear arms.
Marlin Stutzman isn't the biggest name in this Senate race, but he has a big heart and big ideas -- and that's exactly what our country needs now more than ever.

Marlin is turning heads across Indiana as his grass roots campaign grows each day. And now he's getting noticed by the Washington crowd, which is terrified of reform-minded leaders like Stutzman who will stand up to the establishment in both parties.

People voted for change in 2008 but they voted to change Washington, not to change America. It's time to send a new generation of conservative leaders to Washington who will stand up and fight for the principles of freedom. It's time to elect Marlin Stutzman.

Make no mistake. Marlin Stutzman can win this race. He is surging in the polls and there is still time to elect a true conservative who will stand up to the establishment in both parties.

But you will need to answer this call to action. You simply cannot push it off to someone else. I am doing my part and will be criticized by many of my colleagues in the Senate for helping someone other than their hand-picked candidate.

Will you join me in the fight for our future?

This is very urgent.The Republican primary in Indiana is in just 14 days so there isn't much time. Here's what you need to do:
  • Make a contribution to Marlin's Senate campaign. If we can raise him $100,000, he will be able to keep his television ads running until election day on May 4. Contribute Here

  • Volunteer to make phone calls from your home. Using your telephone and a computer, you can contact voters in Indiana directly. With thousands of people helping out across the country, we can push Marlin on to victory. Volunteer Here

  • Pray. The final weeks of a campaign are very stressful, and Marlin and his family need your prayers for wisdom and strength.
If we all work together on this, I'm confident Marlin Stutzman can win this race and be one of the conservative standouts elected to the Senate this year. Thank you for your continued support and encouragement. We'll keep fighting.

Sincerely,
Jim DeMint
United States Senator
Chairman, Senate Conservatives Fund

P.S. Please support Marlin Stutzman for U.S. Senate in Indiana. He's the kind of leader we can count on to stand up and fight for the principles of freedom.
