How are faith and forgiveness tied together?

Dear R. George,

From time-to-time in these weekly emails, I want you to hear from our Bible teacher – Pastor Nat Crawford. His passion for Jesus really spills over into the insights he shares. I appreciate so much when you let me know how much his Bible teaching is helping you grow closer to Jesus each day, too.

Have a great week!
Arnie

I remember a few years ago when I was teaching a course on personal values. One of the values was faith, and a cornerstone of faith is forgiveness. After this session, an upset woman approached me.

"I will never forgive this person who hurt me. I can never do it. That will be their punishment."

"Oh. I'm just curious. Are you a Christian?"

"Why yes! This is my church."

"A nice one at that. But what do you do with Jesus' words in Matthew 6? Jesus said, 'if you do not forgive others their sins, God won't forgive yours?'"

She made a "hmph" sound and walked off.

I feel bad for that woman who thought withholding forgiveness was the right power move. But it was disobedient to God and harmful to her life. She forgot, or didn't know, that there is freedom in forgiveness.

But this freedom only happens when we practice three kinds of forgiveness.

Forgiveness received. King David knew mistakes. He knew about disappointing others and God. But he knew with confidence that forgiveness was at his disposal. All he had to do was ask and receive it. King David wrote in Psalm 86:5-7, "For you, O Lord, are good and forgiving, abounding in steadfast love to all who call upon you. Give ear, O LORD, to my prayer; listen to my plea for grace. In the day of my trouble, I call upon you, for you answer me." God doesn't deal out forgiveness begrudgingly. God offers it freely for His children. But we need to ask with a repentant heart and then receive it with gratitude.

Forgiveness given. Paul wrote in Colossians 3:13, "Bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive." Forgiveness is hard, but it is possible. We, as forgiven people, have the duty and privilege of extending God's mercy and grace to others.

This forgiveness, however, does not make us a doormat or permit others to hurt us. But what it does is allow us to forgive continually (Matthew 18:21-22) while trusting God. God is the ultimate judge who will make all things right. Our forgiveness is evidence that we trust God's sovereignty and goodness.

Forgiveness practiced. Two people could have been trapped by their pasts: Peter and Paul. Peter denied Jesus three times. But Jesus forgave Peter and commissioned Him (and others) to build the church. Peter could have taken himself out and said, "no way." Instead, he practiced forgiveness and forgave himself.

Paul was a persecutor of the church. He hated Jesus and His followers. People died through the authority of Paul. But later, Paul would write, "But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus" (Phil. 3:13b-14). He could have been chained to his past sins. Instead, he practiced forgiveness and forgave himself.

There is freedom in forgiveness. We don't need to live in bondage to guilt. We don't need to be chained down by the hurt from others. We don't need to live in our past. We are forgiven. Therefore, we are free. So begin to receive, give, and practice forgiveness. When we do this, we will win the day.

Human psychodrama on the world stage: Power Outside the Matrix

Human psychodrama on the world stage: Power Outside the Matrix
by Jon Rappoport
As the drama called Human Life on Planet Earth advances in the 21st century, we are seeing an escalation of lower-brain emotional responses to events. And this is according to plan.

I want to emphasize the underlying propaganda message. It's very important to understand that message:

"As more and more people are unable and unwilling to employ logic and rationality, those qualities diminish in importance, and you should abandon them because…they don't serve you. They aren't useful."

You can see where this would lead. More and more people would surrender to their own stimulus-response mechanisms, and the overall level of chaos would increase and expand.

There is no situation in which you should abandon your own ability to employ reason and rationality, no matter what other people are doing. Their surrender should not become an excuse for you deserting your own power on any level.

The two most formidable individual powers are logic and imagination.

Logic is essentially grounding and stabilizing. It allows you to analyze any situation or cluster of information and see through to its validity or invalidity, beyond deception.

Imagination takes you soaring. It allows you to see your greatest vision for your life---and therefore act toward its fulfillment.

Others around you may be succumbing to their own misperceptions and lack of energizing spirit---but that doesn't mean you have to.

And as an aside, if you decide you want to help those you care about and lift them up, try doing it without logic and imagination and see how far you get.

All this is preface and prelude. It occupied me for more than a decade of research and investigation, as I saw the human psychodrama entering a new phase. Its hallmark was random emotional reaction.

Nothing wrong with emotions, but entering a space where they take you from pillar to post, sucking up and draining energy, while producing no visible progress along the line of fulfilling goals…that's not a good thing at all. It eventually ends up paralyzing the individual, who retreats from his most profound ambitions.

This was the setting in which I developed my third collection, Power Outside The Matrix. Here is a description of its contents:

This mega-collection is all about achieving power outside The Matrix and stabilizing that power.

It features a long section called: Analyzing Information in the Age of Disinformation.

This section is filled with specific examples of my past investigations. Based on 25 years of experience, it shows you how to take apart and put together data that lead to valid conclusions.

It is far more than a logic course.

It's an advanced approach to analysis.

Establishing power outside The Matrix requires that a person be able to deal with today's flood of information, misinformation, and disinformation. I've left no stone unturned in bringing you a workable approach to analysis.

There is a further extensive section titled, A Writer's Tutorial. People have been asking me to provide this Tutorial, and here it is in spades. But it's not just for writers. It's for any creative person who wants to grasp his own power, understand it, and use it to reach out into the world.

My Tutorial exposes you to lessons that go far beyond what is normally taught in writer's seminars. In fact, several core concepts in the Tutorial contradict ordinary writer's seminars, and thus give you access to inner resources that would otherwise be ignored.

Another section of this mega-collection, titled Power Outside The Matrix and The Invention of New Reality, features creative exercises you do on a daily basis that will help you move toward the goal of power outside The Matrix. The exercises are all about increasing your energy and stability---and about the invention of new spaces.

Access to your internal energy, in huge amounts, is necessary for a life outside The Matrix---rather than relying on the illusory energy that The Matrix seems to provide.

This is a key fact. I've developed the exercises for exactly that purpose: your energy, your dynamism, independent and self-sufficient.

And finally, I have included a number of audio seminars that offer a wider perspective about The Matrix and what it means to live and work outside it.
Here are the particulars. These are audio presentations. 55 total hours.

* Analyzing Information in the Age of Disinformation (11.5-hours)

* Writer's Tutorial (8.5-hours)

* Power Outside The Matrix and The Invention of New Reality (6.5-hours)

Then you will receive the following audio presentations I have previously done:

* The Third Philosophy of Imagination (1-hour)

* The Infinite Imagination (3-hours)

* The Mass Projection of Events (1.5-hours)

* The Decentralization of Power (1.5-hours)

* Creating the Future (6-hours)

* Pictures of Reality (6-hours)

* The Real History of America (2-hours)

* Corporations: The New Gods (7.5-hours)

I have included an additional bonus section:

* The complete text (331 pages) of AIDS INC., the book that exposed a conspiracy of scientific fraud deep within the medical research establishment. The book has become a sought-after item, since its publication in 1988. It contains material about viruses, medical testing, and the invention of disease that is, now and in the future, vital to our understanding of phony epidemics arising in our midst (and how to analyze them). I assure you, the revelations in the book will surprise you; they cut much deeper and are more subtle than "virus made in a lab" scenarios.

* A 2-hour radio interview I did on AIDS in Dec 1987 with host Roy Tuckman on KPFK in Los Angeles, California.

* My book, The Secret Behind Secret Societies

(All the audio presentations are mp3 files and the books are pdf files. You download them upon purchase. You'll receive an email with a link to the entire collection.)

This is about your power. Not as an abstract idea, but as a living core of your being. This is about accessing that power and using it to invent realities without end.

The pandemic virus that doesn’t exist ~Jon Rappoport

The pandemic virus that doesn't exist
by Jon Rappoport
(To read about Jon's mega-collection, The Matrix Revealed, click here.)
For the past year, I've been offering compelling evidence that: no one has proven SARS-CoV-2 exists.

I've explained that the virus was never isolated. In fact, researchers use the word "isolated" to mean its very opposite: "We ASSUME we have the virus surrounded by, and embedded in, a great deal of other material, and we never extract it or purify it."

No isolation=no discovery of a virus.

I've explained that it's impossible to put together the genetic sequence of a virus that has never been found. Unless, of course, you're lying.

I've published an article in which Dr. Andrew Kaufman took apart, step by step, a typical published study in which the authors described how they isolated SARS-CoV-2. Dr. Kaufman tore this description to pieces and revealed how absurd it is.

When confronted with a mountain of so-called science plus sheer propaganda, most people find it impossible to accept the fact that, at the core of the mountain, there is…

NOTHING.

Absolutely nothing.

"Oh, that couldn't be. There has to be SOMETHING, and the something must be a virus."

This is on the order of a child saying, "There has to be a ghost in the closet every night when I go to sleep."

All that fear, and there is nothing? No, no.

But in the medical universe, there are actually several huge institutions that are based on nothing.

Here is one: PSYCHIATRY.

The official bible of the psychiatric profession, the DSM, lists, describes, and labels some 300 separate and distinct mental disorders.

If you plow through the bible, you will notice that NONE of these mental disorders has a defining laboratory test. No saliva, blood, hair, urine test. No brain scan. No genetic assay. NOTHING.

Yes, people have problems, troubles. People experience suffering and pain. But that is quite, quite different from arbitrarily carving up all that suffering into 300 academic and clinical categories called "mental disorders."

And on top of the astonishing scientific con, the patients who are diagnosed are given toxic drugs, some of which push them over the edge into committing suicide and murder.

All based on a scientific nothing.

(A warning: Suddenly withdrawing from psychiatric drugs can be very dangerous, even life-threatening. Withdrawal should be done gradually, supervised by a caring professional who knows what he's doing. See breggin[dot]com.)

In a PBS Frontline episode, Does ADHD Exist?, Dr. Russell Barkley, an eminent professor of psychiatry and neurology at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center, unintentionally spelled out the fraud.

PBS FRONTLINE INTERVIEWER: Skeptics say that there's no biological marker---that it [ADHD] is the one condition out there where there is no blood test, and that no one knows what causes it.

BARKLEY: That's tremendously naïve, and it shows a great deal of illiteracy about science and about the mental health professions. A disorder doesn't have to have a blood test to be valid. If that were the case, all mental disorders would be invalid…There is no lab test for any mental disorder right now in our science. That doesn't make them invalid.

Oh, indeed, that does make them invalid. Utterly and completely. All 300 mental disorders. Because there are no defining tests of any kind to back up the diagnosis.

We are looking at a science that isn't a science. That's called fraud. Rank fraud.

Here is one more newsflash: The so-called "chemical-imbalance" theory of mental illness is dead.

Dr. Ronald Pies, the editor-in-chief emeritus of the Psychiatric Times, laid the theory to rest in the July 11, 2011, issue of the Times with this staggering admission:

"In truth, the 'chemical imbalance' notion was always a kind of urban legend — never a theory seriously propounded by well-informed psychiatrists."

Boom.

Dead.

However…urban legend? No. For decades the whole basis of psychiatric drug research, drug prescription, and drug sales has been: "we're correcting a chemical imbalance in the brain."

The problem was, researchers had never established a normal baseline for chemical balance. So they were shooting in the dark. Worse, they were faking a theory. Pretending they knew something when they didn't.

In his 2011 piece in Psychiatric Times, Dr. Pies tries to protect his colleagues in the psychiatric profession with this fatuous remark:

"In the past 30 years, I don't believe I have ever heard a knowledgeable, well-trained psychiatrist make such a preposterous claim [about chemical imbalance in the brain], except perhaps to mock it…the 'chemical imbalance' image has been vigorously promoted by some pharmaceutical companies, often to the detriment of our patients' understanding."

Absurd. First of all, many psychiatrists have explained and do explain to their patients that the drugs are there to correct a chemical imbalance.

And second, if all well-trained psychiatrists have known, all along, that the chemical-imbalance theory is a fraud…

…then why on earth have they been prescribing tons of drugs to their patients…

…since those drugs are developed on the false premise that they correct a chemical imbalance?

The chemical-imbalance theory is a fake.

The entire branch of medicine called psychiatry is based on NOTHING.

But again, people find that difficult, if not impossible, to accept. They prefer to believe there must be SOMETHING. That's what they want to believe. That's what they've been trained to believe.

"Well, you see, every effect has a cause, and that cause is actually the effect of an earlier cause, and you can go back farther and farther in the chain…"

And this idea is somehow the basis for assuming that, if a pandemic is announced, there must be a virus.

"I've got to have a virus. I NEED a virus."

"I fear the virus. I want the virus. I love the virus."

There are all sorts of variations on the theme.

"The pandemic? There must be something at the core of it. There must be."

THERE IS NOTHING.

And if someone responds with the familiar battle cry, "Then why are all these people dying?", I've covered that issue from stem to stern in a dozen articles or so.

The entirety of illness and death attributed to the "pandemic" can be explained by multiple factors (not one), and none of those factors involves a virus.

"People dying equals a virus" is about as convincing as "all-cause mortality rising is the result of plane crashes."

As sure as I'm writing this sentence, someone somewhere will think, "Hmm, plane crashes. I should look into that…"

And he will. He'll look into planes flying through underground caves, carrying passengers intent on exploring the center of the Earth, where doctors are producing a longevity drug that extends life for 500 years. But the planes are having accidents.

That level of fantasy is on the same bookshelf as "the virus is causing the pandemic."

Michigan Health Freedom(MHF) Insights: HB4667- vaccine passports Limits- SUPPORT!!!

---------- Forwarded message ---------
From: Abigail Nobel <policyrnabby@gmail.com>

Subject: MHF Insights: Testimony today
To: Abigail Nobel <policyrnAbby@gmail.com>

Good morning!

I take it back about skipping this week. It's too important for MHF to take a stand on vaccine passports, and to inform you of what we're doing about them.

I submitted my testimony below to the committee clerk for today's hearing. You can email yours to Clerk@house.mi.gov.

Michigan Healthcare Freedom testimony on HB 4667 submitted to the House Oversight Committee Hearing on Vaccine Passports.

We support full individual rights to obtain or abstain from vaccination for COVID-19, based upon both science and constitutional rights.

Initial vaccination results are coming in, but the record is still being written on consistent reliable effects over the long term. History will tell to what degree we may rely upon long term immunity to COVID-19, whether natural or acquired.

Certainly, the available science does not justify state financial or regulatory support for conditioning citizen public activity upon COVID-19 vaccination status. Even less justification exists for state aid to restricting individual rights of association, movement, conscience, and privacy through such records.

We support HB 4667 and ask all committee members for a Yes vote to report HB 4667 to the full House with immediate effect.

Sincerely,
Abigail Nobel, President of Michigan Healthcare Freedom

Former KGB Agent predicts the current America in 1984. deepstate

‘Welcome to (DeepState) Exile. It’s Going to Be OK.’

Kimberly Kobayashi~
I am gradually adjusting my thoughts and expectations to conform to these truths:
This is not my home
God is in control
God wins and therefore I have hope and need not fear the future

I hope you find this article encouraging in these challenging times.

Alistair Begg: 'Welcome to Exile. It's Going to Be OK.'

April 29, 2021

When I was a child, I was taught this chorus:

This world is not my home,
I'm just a-passing through.
My treasures are laid up
Somewhere beyond the blue.

Honestly, until recently I had no idea what I was singing. For us in the English-speaking West, this world has tended to feel very much like home, and our treasures have been right before our eyes.

Perhaps it is only in the last few years in the United States that we have finally faced that what the Bible says is true: in this world we really are sojourners and exiles (1 Pet. 2:11). That reality has been clouded and obscured by the size and legal protection of the church in most of the Western world. But this world is not actually our home. We're not supposed to settle down here. We're not supposed to expect the church to be large, influential, and respected.

Christians are increasingly going to be seen as different, and not in a good way. We are increasingly going to have to choose between obedience and comfort. The next decades will not bring apathy to the gospel, but antagonism. And that's OK. After all, that has been the reality for most of God's people through most of history.

Christians are increasingly going to be seen as different, and not in a good way. We are increasingly going to have to choose between obedience and comfort. The next decades will not bring apathy to the gospel, but antagonism.

In this sense, as we move ahead in time, we're going back—back to the world of the first-century church, and back even further to the Babylon of the exiles. And so we have many lessons from early Christians, and from men like Daniel and his friends.

Statue vs. Rock

When we think of drawing inspiration for a post-Christian world from the book of Daniel, our minds perhaps instinctively turn to the fiery furnace or the writing on the wall or the lions' den. But even before any of those events, there's rich truth for our times in the dream that God gives the pagan king Nebuchadnezzar, and enables his godly servant Daniel to interpret—for here is a lesson about what the church is, and what the great empires and nations of the world are.

Here is, as Daniel explains it to the king, the content of the dream:

You saw, O king, and behold, a great image. This image, mighty and of exceeding brightness, stood before you, and its appearance was frightening. The head of this image was of fine gold, its chest and arms of silver, its middle and thighs of bronze, its legs of iron, its feet partly of iron and partly of clay. As you looked, a stone was cut out by no human hand, and it struck the image on its feet of iron and clay, and broke them in pieces. Then the iron, the clay, the bronze, the silver, and the gold, all together were broken in pieces, and became like the chaff of the summer threshing floors; and the wind carried them away, so that not a trace of them could be found. But the stone that struck the image became a great mountain and filled the whole earth. (Dan. 2:31–35)

The statue represents the great empires of the ancient world, with Nebuchadnezzar's as the head. And all—all—are superseded by, and brought to nothing by, a small rock. The meaning? "The God of heaven will set up a kingdom that shall never be destroyed, nor shall the kingdom be left to another people" (Dan. 2:44).

Here is the main and the plain thing: human history is under the control of God, and he has a purpose that will be achieved. The message of the dream was for the young exile as much as for the apparently all-powerful king. God would replace every kingdom and bring into being his everlasting kingdom. And that is what he did when he sent his Son, who announced that "the kingdom of God is at hand" (Mark 1:15). Jesus was (and still is) the rock that God fashioned out of nothing. Here was the everlasting kingdom of God. And it appeared that the Roman statue had smashed the rock by nailing him to a cross, and yet it was not possible even for death to keep hold of this king (Acts 2:24).

Even then, at the turn of the first century it must have seemed impossible that the Roman Empire would ever fade and perish—yet fade and perish it did, even as the kingdom of King Jesus grew throughout the Roman Empire and beyond. The rock smashed the statue, and the rock became a mountain that filled the entire earth.

What a comforting message for the young, exiled Daniel. What a confidence-building truth for us, too: God is God, he is in control, and his kingdom has no rivals.

His Kingdom Knows No Rivals

We have seen more than Daniel could. We know the name of the rock; we can look back in history and around in our world and see how the rock became a mountain. Yet we find ourselves complaining about everything, looking back to the good old days and worrying that the church cannot survive the empire of an aggressively secular post-Christendom. Too much of the public face of evangelicalism is characterized by angry venting or panicking—rather than prayerful, humble, calm, and confident belief in a sovereign God who is in control of things.

How will we handle the onset of persecution? How will we handle the loss of our jobs on account of our Christian faith? How will we handle the closing of public worship? Will we give up, or grow defeatist or angry? Not if we remember that God is God, that he is in control, and that his kingdom ultimately knows no rivals.

In the 1920s, Lord Reith helped to establish the British Broadcasting Corporation and served as its first director-general. He was a somewhat severe man from the highlands of Scotland. As the BBC began to be carried along by the tide of secularism that swept through Britain in the 1960s, a young producer stood up in a meeting and said to Lord Reith that the world was changing, and that the BBC did not need to continue with its religious programming. People were no longer interested in religion, he said, and the church was becoming increasingly obsolete.

Lord Reith, who was 6'6″, told this young man to take his seat. Then he stood up and said: "The church will stand at the grave of the BBC."

And you know what? It will. It will still stand when the BBC—and CNN and Fox as well—dwindle and die. God's kingdom will stand when every organization and institution and empire meets its end.

Give Yourself to the Church

Your church may seem small. As you drive to meet with the household of God on a Sunday, you may pass hundreds of houses whose inhabitants give no thought to what you are doing, except politely (or not so politely) to deride it. It may feel little. But God's kingdom is unsmashable, and it has an embassy in your neighborhood that we call the church. Don't be discouraged as you meet; don't be distraught over dwindling numbers or a more and more hostile media. Instead, commit to it.

God's kingdom is unsmashable, and it has an embassy in your neighborhood that we call the church.

Serve your church family. Give yourself to it. Because when the Lord builds his church (either in number or in maturity) through our labors, gifts, and giving, we are being used to build the only kingdom that will last forever. There is nothing coming next. So, give your best to this kingdom. It may feel small, but it is never in vain, for this kingdom is eternal, and it is God's. So we do not panic and we do not vent, and we enjoy a deep confidence even as the tides seem to run against our faith. God is God, he is in control, and his kingdom—his church—ultimately knows no rivals.
