Rev. Wildmon: Palin Is Right, Newt Being 'Crucified'

One of the nation's most influential Christian and family leaders, the Rev. Donald E. Wildmon, says Sarah Palin is right, Newt Gingrich is being "crucified" by the Republican establishment and forces allied with Mitt Romney.

Wildmon, founder of the American Family Association, has strongly endorsed Gingrich for president, and this week has been urging fellow believers to vote in Florida's primary for the former House Speaker.

Wildmon has spent decades on the front-lines of the battle to protect American families and says Gingrich is the best choice for Christian conservatives who want a president to stand against a rising tide of secularism and anti-Christian sentiment.

On Thursday, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin stated on the Fox Business channel: "Look at Newt Gingrich, what's going on with him via the establishment's attacks. They're trying to crucify this man and rewrite history and rewrite what it is that he has stood for all these years."

In an interview with Newsmax Friday, Wildmon told Newsmax "That's very tough language. But I think it's probably pretty accurate."

Wildmon said Gingrich is up against entrenched political forces who are "absolutely" trying to dictate who wins the GOP nomination.

"The mainstream media and the established Republicans would rather have anybody than Newt," Wildmon said. "This is what really worries them. [Thursday] they went on a rampage, got five or six well known people, former colleagues of his, criticizing him. They're going after him. That's going to be his biggest obstacle to overcome."

Asked why he didn't endorse former U.S. Sen. Rick Santorum, as have several other Christian leaders, Wildmon replied: "You're basically going to vote for the man you think can do the best job. I believe that Newt, of all the candidates, can do a better job of getting the country back to where it's supposed to be."

Wildmon has also stated that Gingrich passes two key criteria: he's the only candidate who can defeat both Mitt Romney and Barack Obama.

Rev. Wildmon is aware that some have criticized Gingrich for his personal life and "baggage."

But Wildmon says he has met privately with Gingrich and believes he is a changed man and has accepted Christ as his savior.

"I think it's genuine and sincere," Wildmon told Newsmax, "Only Newt and God know his heart. But by every visible aspect, I think it's genuine."

Wildmon also expressed grave doubts about the strength of former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney's commitment to social issues that Christians care about.

Wildmon asserted that Romney "will not be reliable. Romney is Obama-lite."

The conservative family advocate said the stakes in the 2012 election are huge. "If we lose this race," he said, "if Mr. Obama gets a second term, or if Mr. Romney gets in, it's the end of Western civilization as we know it."

Wildmon added that he gives the former House Speaker a 50-50 chance of winning the nomination, due to the powerful establishment interests arrayed against him.

Cannibals in GOP Establishment Employ Tactics of the Left

We have witnessed something very disturbing this week. The Republican establishment which fought Ronald Reagan in the 1970s and which continues to fight the grassroots Tea Party movement today has adopted the tactics of the left in using the media and the politics of personal destruction to attack an opponent.

We will look back on this week and realize that something changed. I have given numerous interviews wherein I espoused the benefits of thorough vetting during aggressive contested primary elections, but this week’s tactics aren’t what I meant. Those who claim allegiance to Ronald Reagan’s 11th Commandment should stop and think about where we are today. Ronald Reagan and Barry Goldwater, the fathers of the modern conservative movement, would be ashamed of us in this primary. Let me make clear that I have no problem with the routine rough and tumble of a heated campaign. As I said at the first Tea Party convention two years ago, I am in favor of contested primaries and healthy, pointed debate. They help focus candidates and the electorate. I have fought in tough and heated contested primaries myself. But what we have seen in Florida this week is beyond the pale. It was unprecedented in GOP primaries. I’ve seen it before – heck, I lived it before – but not in a GOP primary race.

I am sadly too familiar with these tactics because they were used against the GOP ticket in 2008. The left seeks to single someone out and destroy his or her record and reputation and family using the media as a channel to dump handpicked and half-baked campaign opposition research on the public. The difference in 2008 was that I was largely unknown to the American public, so they had no way of differentiating between the lies and the truth. All of it came at them at once as “facts” about me. But Newt Gingrich is known to us – both the good and the bad.

We know that Newt fought in the trenches during the Reagan Revolution. As Rush Limbaugh pointed out, Newt was among a handful of Republican Congressman who would regularly take to the House floor to defend Reagan at a time when conservatives didn’t have Fox News or talk radio or conservative blogs to give any balance to the liberal mainstream media. Newt actually came at Reagan’s administration “from the right” to remind Americans that freer markets and tougher national defense would win our future. But this week a few handpicked and selectively edited comments which Newt made during his 40-year career were used to claim that Newt was somehow anti-Reagan and isn’t conservative enough to go against the accepted moderate in the primary race. (I know, it makes no sense, and the GOP establishment hopes you won’t stop and think about this nonsense. Mark Levinand others have shown the ridiculousness of this.) To add insult to injury, this “anti-Reagan” claim was made by a candidate who admitted to not even supporting or voting for Reagan. He actually was against the Reagan movement, donated to liberal candidates, and said he didn’t want to go back to the Reagan days. You can’t change history. We know that Newt Gingrich brought the Reagan Revolution into the 1990s. We know it because none other than Nancy Reagan herself announced this when she presented Newt with an award, telling us, “The dramatic movement of 1995 is an outgrowth of a much earlier crusade that goes back half a century. Barry Goldwater handed the torch to Ronnie, and in turn Ronnie turned that torch over to Newt and the Republican members of Congress to keep that dream alive.” As Rush and others pointed out, if Nancy Reagan had ever thought that Newt was in any way an opponent of her beloved husband, she would never have even appeared on a stage with him, let alone presented him with an award and said such kind things about him. Nor would Reagan’s son, Michael Reagan, have chosen to endorse Newt in this primary race. There are no two greater keepers of the Reagan legacy than Nancy and Michael Reagan. What we saw with this ridiculous opposition dump on Newt was nothing short of Stalin-esque re-writing of history. It was Alinsky tactics at their worst.

But this whole thing isn’t really about Newt Gingrich vs. Mitt Romney. It is about the GOP establishment vs. the Tea Party grassroots and independent Americans who are sick of the politics of personal destruction used now by both parties’ operatives with a complicit media egging it on. In fact, the establishment has been just as dismissive of Ron Paul and Rick Santorum. Newt is an imperfect vessel for Tea Party support, but in South Carolina the Tea Party chose to get behind him instead of the old guard’s choice. In response, the GOP establishment voices denounced South Carolinian voters with the same vitriol we usually see from the left when they spew hatred at everyday Americans “bitterly clinging” to their faith and their Second Amendment rights. The Tea Party was once again told to sit down and shut up and listen to the “wisdom” of their betters. We were reminded of the litany of Tea Party endorsed candidates in 2010 that didn’t win. Well, here’s a little newsflash to the establishment: without the Tea Party there would have been no historic 2010 victory at all.

I spoke up before the South Carolina primary to urge voters there to keep this primary going because I have great concern about the GOP establishment trying to anoint a candidate without the blessing of the grassroots and all the needed energy and resources we as commonsense constitutional conservatives could bring to the general election in order to defeat President Obama. Now, I respect Governor Romney and his success. But there are serious concerns about his record and whether as a politician he consistently applied conservative principles and how this impacts the agenda moving forward. The questions need answers now. That is why this primary should not be rushed to an end. We need to vet this. Pundits in the Beltway are gleefully proclaiming that this primary race is over after Florida, despite 46 states still not having chimed in. Well, perhaps it’s possible that it will come to a speedy end in just four days; but with these questions left unanswered, it will not have come to a satisfactory conclusion. Without this necessary vetting process, the unanswered question of Governor Romney’s conservative bona fides and the unanswered and false attacks on Newt Gingrich will hang in the air to demoralize many in the electorate. The Tea Party grassroots will certainly feel disenfranchised and disenchanted with the perceived orchestrated outcome from self-proclaimed movers and shakers trying to sew this all up. And, trust me, during the general election, Governor Romney’s statements and record in the private sector will be relentlessly parsed over by the opposition in excruciating detail to frighten off swing voters. This is why we need a fair primary that is not prematurely cut short by the GOP establishment using Alinsky tactics to kneecap Governor Romney’s chief rival.

As I said in my speech in Iowa last September, the challenge of this election is not simply to replace President Obama. The real challenge is who and what we will replace him with. It’s not enough to just change up the uniform. If we don’t change the team and the game plan, we won’t save our country. We truly need sudden and relentless reform in Washington to defend our republic, though it’s becoming clearer that the old guard wants anything but that. That is why we should all be concerned by the tactics employed by the establishment this week. We will not save our country by becoming like the left. And I question whether the GOP establishment would ever employ the same harsh tactics they used on Newt against Obama. I didn’t see it in 2008. Many of these same characters sat on their thumbs in ‘08 and let Obama escape unvetted. Oddly, they’re now using every available microscope and endoscope – along with rewriting history – in attempts to character assassinate anyone challenging their chosen one in their own party’s primary. So, one must ask, who are they really running against?

Think of the good things that have happened to education in the last 30 years—the growth of homeschooling and the invention and spread of charter schools."

RGeorgeDunn~ That is local education, not federal. Newt states we need to send education back to the local schools, counties, State, in that order. Education is not a Constitutional enumeration. The blow-back from willfully violating the Law of the Land is injustice and creeping tyranny.

There needs to be a transition period to wean off federal dollars and reduce unconstitutional spending. We are better served to reduce federal burden locally, to free up income. If we fail to take this direction at this moment, we are forsaking our Liberty for the darkness to come.

It is a move, not of party, but of we the people, to take our Country back to the ideals and principles that led us so well. One principle is, by having 22% embedded federal tax in a loaf of bread, you handicap US Industry to imports at 22% federal tax business expense. Wage earners use net income to pay the tax they just paid.

We need to have a Nation wide class on how to get out of the box.

Who has the fairest State of all in America? Does Governor Perry deserve credit?

There is no doubt that Governor Perry has done well being the Governor of Texas. Of all the States in America, Texas has had the spirit and drive to earn the reward of being known for, "Everything is bigger in Texas!"

Here is one part that makes such a statement true. As Rick Perry states in his book, which is wrote for our time for which Perry should have followed precisely, the consumption tax structure is the only system that is capital free enterprise friendly.
Texas has only the sales tax for supporting their State government burden. By only taxing sales, the price of product in Texas has the least amount of embedded taxes of most every State in the Union.

In Perry's book, the Governor states that he endorses the FairTax plan that is in the 2011 Congress , both HR25 and SR13. You add this and the energy plan in Texas to the entire Nation, to a nation that goes back to respecting the Law of the land, and you will see a Renascence as never before recorded in Earth's history.

Texas is seeing job growth at a pace that is the envy of the nation. Approximately 40% of the nation’s job growth since June 2009 occurred in Texas. Texas Governor and Republican presidential candidate Rick Perry is hopeful voters will remember this fact when they enter the election booth next year, while Perry detractors argue Perry is merely the inadvertent beneficiary of luck and happenstance.

An Aug. 19 article on the website Slate is typical of the Perry detractors. The article offers three reasons why “it seems silly for Perry to take credit for the state’s performance.”

*** REDUCES the federal workforce by 10%, slashes congressional pay and perks, curbs excessive federal travel, and lowers my salary as President from $400,000 to $39,336 - which is roughly equal to the median personal income of the American worker.

No other candidate has put forth such a serious proposal for real change.

No other candidate has received as much support as me from those who know we cannot afford to select Mitt Romney as our nominee.

Matter of fact, many of my opponents have struggled to get on the ballot in several states - or completely missed doing so all together.

The InsiderAdvantage poll of South Carolina likely Republican primary voters shows Newt Gingrich surging, coming within a statistical tie of Mitt Romney.

The poll of 726 registered voters was completed Wednesday night and offered the following results:

Romney -- 23 percent
Gingrich -- 21 percent
Santorum -- 14 percent
Paul -- 13 percent
Huntsman -- 7 percent
Perry -- 5 percent

Dear Conservative:

In 1964, Ronald Reagan told conservatives that this was a time for choosing. Socialism in it's true form has been tried, but never achieved for the simple reason that man is not capable of walking on water. It fails as does a democracy, every single time ending in fascism or dictatorship. Democracy lasts longer, but a republic to which we are formed puts advantage of wise men in control as many representatives.

We know what the founders thought by the many writings in place. Read the Federalist or anti-federalist papers, the congressional record for when the Bill of Rights was created is superb. It identifies the fact that we are 50 Nations under the very limiting of Federal power US Constitution.

Benjamin Franklin stated that the least invasive of tax structures is the Consumption tax. FairTax is known as the greatest shift of power from the Government back to the people, as it moves federal taxation from a mandate of fascism to a voluntary choice in liberty.

The most evident reality is the insanity of paying federal taxes by income taxation, to which the employer paces these taxes in the price of the production manufactured. Then the employee goes around the counter and buys a product made within the borders of the Union, only to pay those same taxes again, with only one benefit to the taxing authority and the citizen paying the taxes twice.

A New Year for the Tax Reform that Could

One of my fondest memories growing up was my mother reading to me after lunch. As she read another chapter I eagerly listened while learning about courage, loyalty and patriotism.

Of all the books she read, one simple story had a profound impact on my view of approaching adversity and impossible tasks in life.

The Little Engine That Could is a simple yet beautiful story that chronicles a train desperately trying to find an engine to pull it over a mountain. After being rejected by many large, modern engines the train finally finds a tiny, old engine that agrees to do the best it can in pulling the train. The engine hooks on and believing it can, starts slowly ascending the mountain all the while saying to itself, "I think I can, I think I can. I think I can."

As we begin FairTax 2012, I am once again reminded of The Little Engine That Could. The naysayers in Congress and political talking heads are always eager to point out why the FairTax isn't a viable tax replacement plan. Major corporations, who have coalesced together to influence and control the tax reform discussion, are fueling these "big engines". To many this kind of adversity would be overwhelming.

What all these forces fail to realize, however, is the FairTax train was founded and is being pulled by an engine known as the American people. Our dedicated team of grassroots activist are at the heart of the FairTax engine and your "I think I can" spirit comes through in everything you do.

The mountain is high but our train is climbing and our engine is making sure and steady progress. During the coming weeks we will focus on specific action items that we need you to do in the weeks and months ahead. The question that first needs to be answered is:
“What is current as the Money of Account of the United States and how much of it is a DOLLAR quantity?”

Article I, Section 8, Clause 5, says in part, “Congress shall have Power To . . . fix [FIX] the Standard of Weights and Measures.” To construe these words to mean let “Dollar” float, is absurd and a False Belief.

That is the premise of my opinion. I think that education regarding an understanding of the mechanical process of money creation and its nature is prerequisite to meaningful discussion of tax policy. I recommend referring to the source, the Federal Reserve, for their explanation. See “Modern Money Mechanics” and “Two Faces of Debt,” both booklets published by the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago for their explanation.

If we continue to engage in the distraction of political arguments rather than focus on fundamental principle, we may soon all be using the old phrase, “Not worth a Continental.” The electorate will lose any possibility of influencing an orderly return to Constitutional limits if a collapse occurs. Education is extremely important yet taking a back seat to politics in too many groups.

R. George Dunn~ The value of the dollar. Being we are a papercurrency, does not the vlue of the dollar then become the extension of the GDP? If we fail to produce, we fail to consume. If we fail to consume, we fail to produce. Which came first, the chicken or the egg?

The greatest power of our economy is the enorimity of it. It takes a lot to bring it to zero consumption, thus zero production. But, as pointed out, there comes a moment when a sudden lock up of the economy is entirely possible. That would come when you expand the paper money, lowerring it's value in relation to the GDP at a time of the GDP falling or stagnate. If this fact of huge expansion of the paper is covered up and no steps are taken to end the foundational reason for the GDP failing to grow, a day arrives when it becomes self evident. Eventually, the true value of the dollar paper reaches it's true deflation of fiscal stability by hyper-inflating a false GDP growth. No one can afford their cashflow anywhere, bringing the system to a halt.

The failure of paper money is the symptom, be it from neglect of the foundation of the economy or be it from tyranny from within. The value is the same. To repair the economy from a dollar faultering, the foundation of the economy needs to be adjusted to eleviate the clog to growth. The natural cycle of a free enterprise will always have an up and down. It is when government puts into the equation a burden that cannot be overcome by the economy. This is what has happenned to America.

We have placed excise tax on domestic production by movng from a closed border trading community to an open border while keeping a closed border tax structure. This action has produced a downward slide of the economy of the US Dollar, weakening it until it reached a point of threatening to hyper-inflate the currency. Without exposing the hyper-inflation, it is possible t recover from the near sudden esposure of failing, by simply changing the Tax structure to an open border consumption tax.

It would also be very important to find a path to bring back the money standard to finite terms(precious mineral), to avoid such exposure to a fiscal apocalyse in the future.

When Newt dropped out in 2007, I found myself having to get active and vett candidates. When I ran into Governor Huckabee, it was like he had a recorder in my home repeating everything I had said.

Governor Huckaee would have been President had he not been bulldogged in SC debate. He has the Quest as his own. Then cam Cain, who too has the Quest in his Mission.

Should Paul fail to beat back the Nationalists and those who are not awake yet to it, then you can count on a third party. Sent Sarah a note to ready ready and to seek the Constitutionalist party ticket. Doctor Paul endorsed the Constitutionalist candidate in 2008. This may be the most interesting year of the century and we just got started. If we do well, we could see our future setting new standards in American Prosperity. If we go the wrong way, it will take most of the century to get anywhere and if liberty is involved.

FairTax will provide a GDP of way north of 10% per year for years to come and Constitutional conduct will create such a peace and tranquility, blessings will overflow.

When our Constitution was devised,it was a given that local governance was the norm, from the bottom up. If the local level could not do it, the next level up would. It was not question of convenience, but a matter of principle. Now we rule by decree rather then common law.

Congressman Steven King, your interview on Foxnews was very much on target, until you got to Ron Paul's foreign policy. You must be aware of our being the world empire, as you claimed we would create a vacumn if we just pulled out.

You should have asked Paul about the vacuum effect, as he is not a fool. Just as he says we need to transition to constitutional conduct, so too will we have to transition out of being the world policeman gistopo and let nations raise up to their personal responsibility. We cannot continue to be the world Beast. As the last beast did, the Roman empire, they became so fiscally collapsed, it brought down the empire. Shall we crash or shall we walk back from the cliff?

Also, Constitutionalist Paul has said he will sign FairTax when it gets on his desk as President. He is for both saving planks.

The actual reason, in my opinion, that the political world does NOT want the Fair Tax, is that the Fair Tax is the single biggest power shift from government back to the people in history. The current tax code is not about revenue. It's been fairly effectively shown that the Fair Tax is fairer, generates a more consistent and dependable stream of revenue, grows the economy, and sustains the government quite adequately. It is naturally progressive and self-regulating. It is more efficiently collected and it broadens the tax base. None of these points can be effectively refuted. Why do lawmakers (and political pundits who support this brand of lawmaker) make fools of themselves trying?

Because to eliminate the current tax code and replace it with a Fair Tax would mean a total restructuring of the power base. Congress now can regulate both the market and the individual by manipulating the tax code. You act this way, we reward you through the tax code. You act that way, we penalize you through the tax code. This all goes away with the Fair Tax. It is important to remember that what a candidate for president wants or wishes does not (and should not) have any effect on something like the Tax code. Those are things that will be implemented by the Congress with or without Presidential approval or desire. We need to be working on our legislators for this.

What does have to happen at the Presidential level is an elimination of crony capitalism; also used to control us and our behavior. There is a huge "underground" government that has nothing to do with the people who are supposed to make laws. The administrative branch has become huge, and a vast majority of that branch is comprised of some old, bald guy in some office deep within the bowels of government, removed several layers from the people who are tasked with regulating us and accountable to virtually no person or persons. And that guy is effectively making laws at the behest of large donors and as favors to companies that make curly light bulbs nobody wants. These people (the NTSB wants to federally outlaw cell phone use in cars??? Who the hell is NTSB and how do they get to make any laws???) make laws at will that have nothing to do with their right to do so and little to do with anyone's good but the folks they seek favor from and give favor to. Seat belt laws have nothing to do with the "good of the people." They have to do with the good of the auto insurance lobby. Why do pharmaceutical companies LIKE federal regulations that make it long, hard, and expensive to develop a new drug? Because the folks who would and could develop new drugs in competition with them can't afford to develop and market new drugs. THAT is what we need to be after our Presidential candidates about. It is just as invasive and controlling, and liberty-stealing as the tax code and much more insidious.

JERUSALEM — The head of Israel's intelligence agency says that a nuclear-armed Iran does not necessarily pose an existential threat to the Jewish state, according to Israeli ambassadors.

Mossad chief Tamir Pardo addressed a conclave of Israeli ambassadors in Jerusalem on Thursday, saying that Israel's existence is not inevitably endangered by Iran acquiring an atomic weapon, even as Israel has tried to disrupt Iran's nuclear program.

"What is the significance of the term 'existential?'" Mr. Pardo was quoted as saying by several ambassadors. "If you said a nuclear bomb in Iranian hands was an 'existential' threat, that would mean that we would have to close up shop. That's not the situation. The term is used too freely."

The intelligence chief did not comment on an Israeli attack on Iran's nuclear facilities, which the Islamic republic has said is engaged only in peaceful research.

Mr. Pardo's remarks contradict those of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who reportedly has sought consensus among Israeli officials to attack Iran's nuclear centers.

However, Mr. Pardo's comments echo those of his predecessor at Mossad, Meir Dagan, and of other former and current Israeli security officials.

Mr. Dagan had vigorously opposed an attack and expressed his position publicly after retiring earlier this year. Gabi Ashkenazi, former armed forces chief of staff, also reportedly opposed an attack.

Opponents to an attack plan say that Iran, as a rational state, would not launch a nuclear assault that would ensure a retaliatory Israeli strike on its cities, including holy sites.

Zeevi Farkash, Israel's former military intelligence chief, has said that Iran's main drive for acquiring atomic weapons is not for use against Israel but as a deterrent against U.S. intervention, in much the same way that nuclear-armed North Korea feels secure against a U.S. attack.

Other Israeli leaders argue that Iran, ruled by clerics and mystics, cannot be relied upon to make "rational" decisions with regard to Israel. They also warn about the possibility of Iranan nuclear devices falling into the hands of terrorists.

What's more, they argue, a nuclear-armed Iran could adopt aggressive policies that could roil the entire region and leave Israel more exposed to conventional attack.

Mr. Netanyahu's views on attacking Iran reportedly are shared by Defense Minister Ehud Barak, but not the majority of his Cabinet.

Our battle line in this election to save our Nation has not been identified. It is a battle between Nationalists and Constitutionalists. In doing a quick review of, 'Bringing the Courts Back Under the Constitution', I found it a bit refreshing as the Patriot Stand on the Constitution.

As Alexander Hamilton stated in Federalist #78, the term in the U.S. Constitution,

"Judges, both of the supreme and inferior Courts,

shall hold their Offices during good Behavior",

points to the must of holding the interpretation of law to be the reasoning used to make it, without deference. This fundamental reasoning keeps in check the Beast on the chain, wanting to devour us, As Jefferson so clearly describes in the Declaration of Independence.

One must question what is not addressed, oligarchy abuse:

I. Commerce Clause;

II. Supremacy Clause;

III. General Welfare Clause;

IV. Imminent domain; etc.

How do you view these? And what if the President abuse's the Presidency?

Your answers here will mean something, as well as answering why a closed border tax structure is used in open border trade?

Governor Huckabee~ 'Big Government Is America's Biggest Threat'

Big Government Is Like Lung Cancer...

From my radio show The Huckabee Report :

A new Gallup Poll found that for all the howling about Wall Street, a whopping 64 percent of Americans believe that big government is actually the biggest threat to America, compared to only 26 percent who picked big business and 8 percent who named big labor. I wonder what the result would be if they were allowed to choose a fourth alternative: the unholy alliance between all three of them? Sweetheart deals between big government, big business and big labor are what's killing small business and job creation and driving deficits through the roof. But if you have to pick just one, big government is the right answer, because that's the fountain from which all other abuses flow. Big business and big labor wouldn't be able to press unfair advantages if we didn't have big government making its power all too readily available in exchange for political support. In an ominous sign for President Obama's reelection, fear of big government has leaped in the past two years. 64 percent of independents came down against big government, and since Obama took office, even the number of Democrats who think it's our biggest threat has jumped from 32 to 48 percent. Not that they'll vote against it, of course. But it might at least dampen their enthusiasm for showing up at the polls to actively support it.

It seems as if every couple of decades, Americans forget what it means to have a giant, activist government trying to micromanage every corner of our lives. So the voters fall for the promises of the left that Washington can solve all their problems, and hand power to the progressives, as they did in 2008. Unfortunately, by the time they realize their mistake, enough damage has been done that it takes decades to undo it, if that's possible at all. Big government is like lung cancer: once you have it, it's so hard to reverse it that it's best to do everything you can to avoid getting it in the first place.

Occupy Wall Street Needs New Rhetoric

If the Occupy Wall Street protesters would like a break from interfering with truckers and longshoremen, they might want to take five minutes to update their rhetoric. They keep telling us that the top one percent of earners control most of the wealth and make a larger and larger share of all income. They even made out like bandits during the recession. That would be worrying, if it were true. But the New York Times analyzed federal tax data and found that the economic downturn cost the rich big time. Turns out that from 2007 to 2009, the average income of the top one percent dropped by nearly a third. Their share of all income fell from 23 to 17 percent. Most also took a big hit on accumulated wealth, since the stock market is still 20 percent below where it was in 2007. Of course, none of this will gin up any sympathy for the rich. And they'll probably survive just fine. But it shows that fixing America's economy is a lot more complicated than standing in front of a truck and pointing fingers at people who earn more than you. It will take knowledge of real economic facts, not just slogans. Newt Gingrich took a lot of friendly fire in his first big debate as the GOP frontrunner. But he appears to have sailed through in one piece. The latest polls show him solidifying his lead in South Carolina and Florida. But with that top tier status come attacks from all sides. The DNC has begun circulating a video, accusing Gingrich of being the "original Tea Partier," a man who was willing to gut federal spending and shut down Washington to get a tax cut. Frankly, that sounds more like they're trying to win the GOP nomination for Gingrich.

Ron Paul has recently spoke to the need of a transitional time for gaining constitutional conduct. This is a wise admission as it will take a long period to provide for all investment in SSI by every citizen is honored. But that now brings Doctor Paul to the question of how you going to afford it and save this nation fiscally? The only way we can afford it is by getting the Federal Governments taxation out of the price of domestic product so we can get back all those US Industry that migrated overseas. That is endorsing the FairTax.

If we could justly cut the 90% unconstitutional spending overnight, we would not need FairTax as FairTax not including the prebate, would drop to about 4% tax. As it stands today, just speaking to the taxes collected, and not the 40%+ spending over tax revenue due to 50% of the Nation under-employed or worse, FairTax will need to be at 19% plus the prebate of 4%, which you get back.

Though I have defended Doctor Paul for many years, he is still pre-occupied by being on the Wall warning this Nation. We are at the end of the rope of fiscal distribution of America to the world via our tax structure. If we do not heed most of Doctor Paul's warnings, we will see the end of the Constitution completed and all those contingency plans put into play.

Doctor Paul is also scared badly by those anarchists who adhere to Constitutionalist principles, making him look bad. It is my opinion that Gary Johnson would be the one Patton hand off from Paul, who would be a great president. The charges of libertarianism is a false, as the Constitution is already libertarian in it's definition of enumerated powers, which says the Federal Government has no power over morals or property.

Coming out in support of Gary Johnson now though and not allowing for a candidate with some traction to endorse FairTax would be foolish or would it not?

If we elect a candidate that does not support FairTax, by compromising in this primary, we will not survive the fiscal mess we are about to hit. The EU is needing 100 Trillion bailout and the world GDP is 70 trillion. The USA is now owing more then our GDP is for a year. The entire world has made the US Currency their default world currency, so if we do not get the USA fiscal house in order, we will be wiping out the world economy. This will create such a vacuum that those plans for just in case we collapse will kick in and Marshal law will permeate the world.

If we were to elect a RINO who refuses to give up their gravy train of amending the IRS code, that greed will be our destruction. If Newt does the Romney dance and promises us FairTax, with no plan to deliver, we lose. On the top of this perilous need, there is the need of gaining a congress that will pass FairTax.

With Cain being cut asunder by the MSM and by other unmentionable reasons, we are suddenly without any traction for FairTax. Had Mr. Cain not been the FairTaxer, we would be seeing Gary Johnson on top. This New Media needs to wake up to how powerful they have become and do something about this.

new 1% state tax assessment or Health Insurance Claims Assessment on certain paid

Michigan health insurance claims. The tax applied on claims incurred on or after Jan. 1,

2012, will be paid by insurance carriers on behalf of fully-insured plans and by third-party

administrators on behalf of self-funded plans.



The tax applies to Michigan residents receiving services in Michigan



The location of a company’s headquarters or its operations is irrelevant.



The law limits the annual tax of $10.000 per insured individual or covered life.



All Medigap plans (Part C claims).



The tax replaces the current 6% use tax applied to Medicaid managed care plan

services and will be used to help fund Michigan’s Medicaid program.



The tax will be a direct cost for employers.

The following claims are exempt from the tax:



Services received outside of Michigan.



Services received in Michigan by non-residents



Claims paid under FEDERAL employee health benefit programs

Why the Establishment Wants to Destroy Herman Cain

There are two reasons the liberal media can't get enough of the Herman Cain smear campaign:

1. They would rather report unsubstantiated allegations and gossip than report the real issues, because talking about the real issues would not be in the best interest of the president.

President Obama is traveling around the country, proposing a stimulus bill that has already failed once. Instead of having an honest discussion about whether or not a plan that already failed once will fail again, the establishment would rather distract the American people with gossip.

The amount of time spent talking about this ridiculous smear campaign while the country is in an economic crisis, shows that the liberal media's agenda is not to keep people informed, but to keep people distracted from failed establishment economic policies.

2. The establishment is threatened by a strong conservative with such a large platform.

For many years, the Democrats have had a 90% stranglehold on the black vote. This is because many blacks feel that Republicans are racist and only care about the rich, while Democrats love them, give Blacks welfare, etc. When a strong, charismatic, BLACK conservative goes head to head with Obama, many blacks who have not yet done so will actually listen to both sides of the political argument.

They will hear Mr. Cain say that the entitlements given to them don't help the black community. When Mr. Cain says that welfare is statistically like a disease that is passed from generation to generation, that it promotes single mothers, that it promotes a culture of helplessness and government dependency, people will listen.

When Mr. Cain says I will give you opportunities to improve your quality of life: jobs so that you don't need government handouts to survive, that the government will teach people to fish rather than give them fish sticks…people will listen.

Mr. Cain would structurally change the voting demographic. There would be more black economic conservatives, and the Democrats would lose their stranglehold on the black vote. The establishment is threatened by that, so they will try to assassinate Mr. Cain's character, hoping he doesn't get the chance to go head to head with President Obama.

If the general election features two black men of opposing political views, and Black America hears an honest political debate, the establishment will lose a portion of their 90 percent stranglehold on the black vote.

Let me be very clear about what I mean when I say "the establishment." There are people on both sides of the aisle and beyond who are disturbed by Mr. Cain's unorthodox campaign. He rocks the proverbial boat so to speak. So, it's not entirely about party politics. So for the purpose for this discussion, "establishment" means resistance to truth from every sector.

The establishment, which includes the Obama camp is terrified of what Mr. Cain represents.

Dear Mr. Chairman and Members of the Committee:

Let me begin with an observation leading to a compliment. My observation? The debate over America‘s tax system is not about one problem. It is about a bundle of competing problems searching out competing solutions. Although all Americans share a fervent disdain for the tax system, they do so for many reasons. Before policymakers can make true progress in discussing the effectiveness of various alternatives in achieving reform goals, therefore, they must first agree upon the common issues reform is meant to address. Stated another way, they must decide ―what are the central problems with our current system?‖ before they can intelligently ask ―how well the ideas for reform address those problems?‖.

My compliment? The Committee insightfully titled this hearing ―

How American Tax Policy Affects U.S. Businesses.‖ Shrift was doubtless given to titling it ―Whether U.S. Tax Policy Affects Business.‖ U.S. Tax policy affects, and unfortunately disaffects business, in ways well beyond the tax expenditures purposely designed to affect that result.1 In short, our tax regime influences business from the cradle to the grave: whether or not to start a business, what business to start, how to organize it, where to locate it (here or abroad), how to fund and run the business, when and how to expand it, when to hire, when to terminate it and how to unwind it.

Over the course of the last 25 years, I have seen how tax policy affects business from many angles: as a practitioner, an advocate, a federal prosecutor, an adjunct professor, an author of treatises and a book on the policy process, and as a Congressional counsel. And from these differing perspectives, I cannot help but see the discouragement of many economists whose voices of reason are ignored; not so much because they are discordant, but because they are drowned out by the deafening din of lobbyists. Our tax system has in a nutshell devolved into an unholy trinity of lobbyists, industry seeking relative advantage and Members who seek campaign contributions, all of whom would sacrifice at the altar of a public auction our national prosperity for relative advantage.

The good news is that Tax reform is coming. It is a tide that if resisted by this Congress will be passed by their replacement. But the bad news is that the direction of tax reform remains to this day uncertain. What will reform look like? What are the criteria by which reform will be adjudged? Will reform be accomplished in name only, to leave to another generation the ultimate fix when the economy has worsened?

Understanding how we have gone astray is as easy as hearing the central chorus of economists. They will tell you that the critical maladies of our current system are three-fold:

its complexity, prolixity and crushing compliance costs;

its high marginal rates which trample productive income, stifle growth, job creation and wages;

an anachronistic international tax system that is self-flagellating.

And many will tell you, as I will today, that the solution to this crisis is a consumption tax that makes the taxes we pay visible, ensures all Americans are stakeholders, is neutral as to savings and investment, lowers marginal rates, reduces compliance costs and removes the anti-competitive nature of our non-border adjustable extraterritorial tax system.
